A recent study reveals a strong demand for AI and advanced solutions among businesses, yet a significant gap exists in satisfaction with the return on investment (ROI). With 95% of surveyed clients planning to invest in technologies like AI and IoT, 86% feel pressured to demonstrate results, while 64% admit their investments have not met expectations. This discrepancy presents a unique opportunity for Managed Service Providers (MSPs) and solution providers who possess the skills and knowledge to deliver effective AI implementations that yield tangible results, thereby enhancing client loyalty and profitability.Rich Freeman and Dennis O'Shea, experts in the field, discuss the current landscape of AI adoption and the challenges faced by organizations. Many clients are seeking tactical solutions, such as initial licenses for experimentation, while grappling with questions around use cases, data security, and the need for employee empowerment in utilizing AI tools. The conversation highlights the importance of understanding the specific needs of clients and the necessity of securing data before rolling out AI solutions. As the discussion progresses, the focus shifts to the evolving role of MSPs in the workforce. With the rise of agentic AI—technology that can autonomously perform tasks traditionally handled by technicians—there is uncertainty about the future job landscape. Experts predict that roles such as level one and level two support may become obsolete, while new positions focused on overseeing AI agents and ensuring effective communication between technology and users will emerge. The need for individuals who can bridge the gap between technical concepts and human understanding will be crucial. The conversation concludes with insights into the coding landscape, where AI is increasingly taking over coding tasks, allowing for a new generation of developers who can leverage AI tools to create solutions. This shift presents both challenges and opportunities for MSPs, as they must adapt to a changing environment where coding becomes more accessible. The emphasis on solving business problems and delivering tailored solutions will be essential for maintaining relevance and profitability in the evolving tech landscape. The St. John's Morning Show from CBC Radio Nfld. and Labrador (Highlights)
The province's Public Utilities Board is proposing a number of changes to how it regulates oil and gas prices on the island of Newfoundland. Last Thursday, Newfoundland and Labrador's energy regulator released what it calls a "consultation document," which included a number of possible changes. The biggest impact would be raising gas, diesel, and furnace oil prices. Dennis O'Keefe is a founder of the Consumer Group for Fair Gas Prices, and former mayor of St. John's, dropped by the studio today to discuss these changes.

Dollarama is the source of all cheap comics. But Dollarama is primarily owned by Bain Capital. So is it that Mitt Romney put Crisis on Multiple Earths Volume 2 in our hands? Do we have the Republican establishment to thank for bringing Dennis O'Neil deeper into our lives? Would that establishment take kindly to the message broadcast through these weird tales of sublimated sexual confusion and desire? No one can answer these questions. We know only the bounty of Dollarama and give thanks to Bain Capital for its blessings. "Meanwhile, the two Supermen have battled each other, first to a standstill-- and then, to a lie-still!"

When Alex Jones proclaimed that the pharmaceutical and pesticide industries were “turning the frogs gay”, he was widely ridiculed by the Mainstream Media for being an alarmist with dangerous anti-science beliefs. A decade later and those very same scientists owe AJ an apology, as he was correct in his assessment of what the chemical compounds of Atrazine and Glyphosate do to not just amphibians, but humanity as a whole. Australia's Dennis O'Connor has some sensible tips for improving one's health and it doesn't require a medical degree to understand. Gut health is an overlooked component that impacts the entire system of the body and plays a major role in not just our physical health, but our happiness too. His “Awakening In Health” clinic in Brisbane works with people struggling to regain their immune system, fighting the effects of depression, or just improving their overall health with sensible changes to their diet and their frame of mind.
