The final music episode of 2023 is celebrated with the podcast's very own iamRavedad. Some of you may have known him before as DJ 4Site, the resident DJ who mixes all the themes for the EstoBro TV Podcast. EstoBro begins the podcast by addressing the holiday hit iamRavedad dropped with "Looking for" (9:00) as the pair chuckle over the fact that EDM is invading holiday music every year. He also has the privilege of holding the first interview with the artist to promote his debut album House of Music (17:00) which the album's title track song is the official theme song for the podcast in 2024. EstoBro loves the album so much, that he may not even change the theme song for the podcast from here on out. The pair also share music news with festival lineup reveals, most recently with Ultra Music Festival in Miami (44:40), and how it is so tempting to go despite all the strife that goes on in the city. EstoBro and iamRaved reflect on the fun they had together at EDC Orlando and Bonnaroo this year, even teasing the idea that they possibly will return in 2024. EstoBro also celebrates iamRavedad's side project in a  podcast that is The Chicago Brothers Bears Show (71:30) where the artist also shares his passions as a sports fan.Be sure to listen to iamRavedad's debut album House of Music this holiday season. Get ready for an inspiring episode of the Same Business Different Day Podcast! Join us as we sit down with Jim Ambroso, the General Manager of EDCO in North County San Diego, and our wonderful guest cohost, Rachel Beld, CEO of the Vista Chamber of Commerce. Together, we embark on a journey that's all about caring, community, and a relentless drive for a brighter future. Jim's story is one of humble beginnings, born in a small farming town in Wisconsin as the fourth of eight siblings and settled in Chicago at the age of 12. While childhood dreams of becoming a pilot or doctor swirled in his mind, it was during high school that his passion for social work began to bloom. Listen in as Jim shares his early leadership experiences managing teams cleaning apartment buildings, setting the stage for his future in waste management and recycling. His college years in Southern Illinois initially aimed at social work took a surprising turn toward geology, leading to a degree in environmental geology. In the 1980s, as environmental regulations took center stage, Jim found himself uniquely positioned to enter the world of waste management and recycling. Fast forward 35 years, and he's now the General Manager of EDCO Disposal's North County San Diego region. Notably, from 2015 to 2020, Jim played a pivotal role in developing innovative food waste recycling methods, processing over 100,000 pounds per hour. But that's not all; Jim's commitment to community extends to his role as Chairman of the Board for the San Marcos Chamber of Commerce, where he actively contributes to the growth and well-being of his local community. Join us on this enlightening journey as Jim Ambroso unpacks his incredible story, showcasing the power of passion, perseverance, and a deep-rooted sense of community. This is the second half of the episode that features D-Truth and DJ 4Site on the podcast with EstoBro and TV. The first episode had too much content that it had no time discussing the results of the World Series (0:30) and EstoBro warning his guests that the end could be near for the MLB... D-Truth wanted to take the time to discuss a major hot topic regarding the fallout of Dave Chappelle's stand-up series being concluded on Netflix (8:00). The majority of the discussion regards how the mainstream media is interpreting the routine poorly (13:00), how it connects with other major comedians that Chappelle has worked with, including Joe Rogan and Bill Burr (23:45), and how "cancel culture" toppled a huge figure in media with the removal of Ellen DeGeneres (39:50). The discussion was too critical not to keep where the Gents wanted to shed their opinion on the matter, regardless if it was a popular opinion or not. Where the collective stands as allies to the LGBTQ+ community, the artistic interpretation of entertainers needs to be respected in their own way. Since the two guests are musicians, EstoBro and TV incline the question on how Travis Scott's Astroworld Festival was a catastrophe over the weekend (3:20) and what could have been done to prevent the chaos from unraveling. After salutations, EstoBro enables his guests even further to discuss all things basketball (28:50), including putting some recognition on how hot the Chicago Bulls are. TV has to keep the fellas in check because the season just got underway, also circling back to the takes that the Gents made at the start of the season. Having this episode be the first one of November, EstoBro asks D-Truth during the "Who has the munchies?" segment (44:45) about what needs to be present at Thanksgiving; and he also has some words on how white people do the infamous holiday. This special edition episode has two parts, be sure to listen to the conversation EstoBro and TV hold with D-Truth and 4Site in the complimenting episode.Follow the guests at their following social media pages:D-Truth the ProfessionalListen on 4Nerds1PodcastInstagram & Twitter: @dtruth_musicMusic available on Apple Music, Spotify, SoundCloud, Bandcamp4SiteInstagram: @4site_musicDirect message for music inquiriesDJ 4Site mixes all the music for the EstoBro TV Podcast

If the local economy is a game of hockey, economic developers aren’t the players. We are not offence, defence, nor goalies, and we certainly aren’t the team manager, coach or referee. We’re the Zamboni. In our second episode, the MDB Insight team traveled to Toronto for EDCO, the Economic Developers Council of Ontario conference, to ask our colleagues: "How do you prove the value of economic development?"One of the biggest challenges in the economic development field is convincing council and the community to invest. For most people, it's easy to justify long-term investments into infrastructure or essential services, but people have a harder time wrapping their heads around the less tangible – and harder to measure – benefits of economic development projects. This means that when money is tight, ours is often the first department to be cut.So how do we change that? Economic development helps keep jobs in the community, which keeps people in the community, who pay taxes used to fund everything from bridges to broadband to business retention. When you cut EcDev, everything suffers. This time on Insight, we hear from experts all over Ontario about how communicating the value of economic development is a crucial part of building strong and prosperous communities. You'll hear advice from Robert Lamb (CAO, Township of Brock), Michelle Samson (EDO, City of Vaughan), Richard Allen (Manager of Economic Development, Frontenac County), Ann Weir (Economic Development Manager, United Counties of Leeds & Grenville), Rob Nolan (Director of Economic Development, City of Brockville), Jason Felix (Economic Development Manager, Township of Ignace), Belinda Wick-Graham, (Manager of Economic Development, Town of Minto) and Mayor George Bridge (Town of Minto).Insight: Canada's Economic Development Podcast is presented by MDB Insight and produced by Derek Harrison. Each episode explores the economic development field in Canada.
