It's Wednesday, November 6th, A.D. 2024. This is The Worldview in 5 Minutes heard on 125 radio stations and at www.TheWorldview.com. I'm Adam McManus. (Adam@TheWorldview.com) By Jonathan Clark and Adam McManus Sudanese Muslims drove 34 Christians from their homes Morning Star News reports Muslims in Sudan drove 34 Christians from their homes last month. The Christians had come to the area after fleeing military conflict elsewhere in the northeastern African country. However, local Muslims demanded they leave since they did not want Christians in the area. One of the Christians said, “We are currently in a very bad humanitarian situation, as we have lost our shelter, and we have children, women and the elderly. And we have lost our livelihoods that helped us provide for our basic daily needs.” According to Open Doors, Sudan is the 8th most dangerous country for Christians worldwide. Pro-lifer reacts to prayer censorship zone around abortion mills Last Thursday, a “buffer zone” law went into effect in England and Wales. The Public Order Act 2023 bans people from “influencing” people at abortions mills. The United Kingdom's Crown Prosecution Service released legal guidance on the law. It noted that people could violate the law near abortion mills by offering counsel, handing out leaflets, holding Bibles, displaying images of babies, singing around religious pictures, and praying, including silent prayer. Isabel Vaughan-Spruce, director of March for Life UK, called the law a national disgrace. VAUGHAN-SPRUCE: “Today is a shameful day for our country. Buffer zones around abortion centers have been legalized with an unlimited fine risk for those caught waking the obscure rules they set out.” Conservative Christian groups spending more money in Africa Conservative groups are increasing spending in Africa, according to a report from the Amsterdam-based Institute for Journalism and Social Change. The report covered 17 U.S. groups most of which were Christian and known for opposing sexually perverted lifestyles. The groups included Heartbeat International, Focus on the Family, Alliance Defending Freedom, and the Home School Legal Defense Association. The groups spent a combined $16.5 million in Africa between 2019 and 2022. Over the period, spending increased 47%. U.S. conservative groups' investment in Africa comes as nations in the continent have passed laws in favor of Biblical marriage and sexuality. 80 million voters cast ballots during early voting Voters in the United States headed to the polls yesterday for the 2024 presidential election. Nearly 80 million voters already cast ballots in early voting. Vice President Kamala Harris and former President Donald Trump both encouraged their supporters to vote early. Voters will also be deciding control of the U.S. Congress. Nonpartisan analysis suggests that Republicans are likely to regain control of the Senate, but they might lose control of the House where Democrats only need to win four seats. Daniel 2:21 says God “changes the times and the seasons; He removes kings and raises up kings; He gives wisdom to the wise and knowledge to those who have understanding.” Early election results appear promising for Trump Initial results are in and early calls have been made. So far there are no surprises. Ten states, including Florida, have been called for Trump and eight states have been called for Harris. Gary Bauer, the founder of Campaign for Working Families, wrote, “Kudos to RNC Co-Chair Lara Trump. Throughout the day, the RNC had a serious ballot integrity effort under way so that at the first signs of predictable Democrat cheating, we immediately went into court to correct the situation. “While the night is still young, Harmeet Dhillon reports that everything seems to be running smoothly in Maricopa County, Arizona. The big challenge is making sure people get in line so they can vote. “There is one troubling area where we still need more information. An alleged ‘tabulation error' in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, has resulted in 31,000 absentee ballots being recounted. Election officials made this announcement without stating any results. This is the kind of thing that puts us all on edge. “Florida is the third largest state in the country and they are racing through the counting process. Donald Trump and Sen. Rick Scott are leading by nearly one million votes. In fact, Trump is reportedly up by double digits in heavily Hispanic Miami-Dade County, suggesting he may perform well with Hispanics across the country. “But how is it that Florida can count ballots so efficiently and will have their results in a few hours while much smaller states are saying it will take days or weeks? It doesn't take weeks to count votes. It takes weeks to cheat. “A CNN exit poll found that the degree of dissatisfaction with the direction of the country is extraordinary, and that should help Trump. Commentators said this was a strong current Harris must swim against since she has been in office the last four years.” Gary Bauer made one final observation. “One exit poll indicated that independent voters in Georgia were breaking for Trump by high single digits.” David Axelrod: There is “no enthusiasm on the ground for Kamala Harris” Appearing on CNN's "State of the Union" this past Sunday, David Axelrod, the chief strategist of Barack Obama's two successful presidential campaigns, said that there is "zero enthusiasm on the ground for Kamala Harris in demographics that [she] most needs." AXELROD: “The watch word of the day is humility here. When you have polls this close, you're not sure of anything, and it really matters who shows up, because these polls are not precise. “So, what I'm worried about is you're counting on some women -- who are independent, Republican women -- to come out and vote for Harris. Is that going to materialize? Is the gender gap going to be what you need it to be? “Are minority voters going to come out in the numbers, of African-American voters in particular, and are you going to get the margins that you want there? So, there are a lot of open questions. This race is filled with uncertainty today.” 114-year-old Pennsylvania woman the oldest in North America And finally, a Pennsylvania woman is now considered to be the oldest living person in North America. 114-year-old Naomi Whitehead lives in a senior care community in Greenville West Salem. She attained the status after 115-year-old Elizabeth Francis of Texas died last month. Naomi was born in September 1910 and has outlived her husband and three sons. She's the seventh oldest person in the world and has 12 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, 49 great-great-grandchildren, and three great-great-great-grandchildren. She said she's abstained from smoking and drinking and also credits good genes. She told New Castle News last year, “I'll live as long as the Lord lets me.” 1 Peter 3:10-11 says, “He who would love life and see good days, let him refrain his tongue from evil, and his lips from speaking deceit. Let him turn away from evil and do good; let him seek peace and pursue it.” Close And that's The Worldview on this Wednesday, November 6th, in the year of our Lord 2024. With election day just five days away, Democratic presidential candidate Kamala [Comma-la] Harris is making Pennsylvania a priority for her campaign. She addressed a large crowd at the Farm Show Complex in Harrisburg yesterday. A judge has ordered Bucks County to extend its deadline to request a mail ballot until 5:00 p.m tomorrow. A divided Pennsylvania appeals court says the envelopes voters use to send in mail ballots don't need to have been accurately hand-dated. Investigations into potential fraud related to voter registration applications in Lancaster, York and one other county have become fodder for online misinformation, including from Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump. In the latest in a series of pre-election day addresses to the public, Secretary of State Al Schmidt says there are those whose goal is to deliberately confuse voters -- causing doubt and distrust in the election system. A Philadelphia judge is set to hold a hearing in the city prosecutor's bid to shut down Elon Musk's $1 million dollar-a-day sweepstakes in battleground states. We take a deep dive into the anger over racist comments made over the weekend at a Donald Trump rally in New York that is rippling across Pennsylvania's Latino community. Hear reaction from the Lehigh Valley, which has a large Latino population and is considered a vital voting block in next week's election. A Delaware County community does not have enough manpower to safely staff its police department overnight. A western Pennsylvania woman is now believed to be the oldest living person in North America. 114 year-old Naomi Whitehead attained that status after Elizabeth Francis of Texas died on Oct. 22. (Adam@TheWorldview.com) By Adam McManus Mozambique Muslims have killed 5,000 people, mostly Christians Bishop António Juliasse has given a harrowing account of the murders, mass displacement, and hunger that have afflicted Mozambique, Africa over the last seven years due to the ongoing Islamist insurgency, reports Aid to the Church in Need. He said Mozambique has faced “seven years of displacement; seven years of death; seven years during which people have lived with great suffering; of hunger, because they cannot farm their land due to insecurity; of disease, because there is no access to medication, or because the closest clinic has been destroyed. Seven years during which children have not been able to study as they should.” Muslim militants have killed 5,000 people, many of whom were Christians. Plus, one million have been displaced as a result of the violent clashes between Muslim insurgents, seeking to establish a hard-line Islamic state, and the Mozambique Defense Armed Forces. Aid to the Church in Need has provided emergency aid, pastoral assistance and counselling for displaced people, as well as vehicles for missionaries and the construction of homes and community centers. Revelation 6:9-10 says, “When [Jesus] opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of those who had been slain because of the word of God and the testimony they had maintained. They called out in a loud voice, ‘How long, Sovereign Lord, holy and true, until you judge the inhabitants of the Earth and avenge our blood?'” Trump's former chief of staff makes wild accusations which are refuted In an interview with the New York Times, Donald Trump's former Chief of Staff, retired Marine General John Kelly, claimed that his former boss had praised Adolf Hitler's military and wished that he had the same. He also said Trump met the definition of a fascist and would govern as a dictator if elected a second time. Kamala Harris said this. HARRIS: “It is clear from John Kelly's words that Donald Trump is someone who I quote, ‘certainly falls into the general definition of fascist.'” Kelly's comments were defused by a vehement denial from Mike Pence's former chief of staff, reports The Blaze. According to Nick Ayers, Kelly's accusation is false. Ayers tweeted, "I've avoided commenting on intra-staff leaks or rumors or even lies as it relates to my time at the White House, but General Kelly's comments regarding President Trump are too egregious to ignore. I was with each of them more than most, and his commentary is patently false." In a campaign statement, Trump's Communications Director Steven Cheung said, "Kamala Harris is a stone-cold loser who is increasingly desperate because she is flailing, and her campaign is in shambles. That is why she continues to peddle outright lies and falsehoods that are easily disproven.” When J.D. Vance, Trump's Vice Presidential pick, was asked about it on the campaign trail, he said this. VANCE: “John Kelly was fired by Donald Trump, and he won't stop talking about it. Every time that John Kelly says something happened, you've got three or four people who are allegedly in the room when it happens, saying he's making it up. Even Mike Pence's chief of staff said that John Kelly is making up a bunch of [stuff] about Donald J Trump. “So, who do we believe? Do we believe multiple eyewitnesses, or do we believe a disgruntled ex-employee? I believe the multiple eyewitnesses. I think everything that John Kelly said is not true.” Anderson Cooper confronts Kamala about border flip flop In Wednesday night's CNN Town Hall in Pennsylvania, Anderson Cooper engaged Kamala Harris about her demonstrable flip flop on the border wall. COOPER: “Under Donald Trump, you criticized the wall more than 50 times. You called it stupid, useless, and a medieval vanity project. Is a border wall stupid?” HARRIS: “Why is there any ideological perspective on this? Let's just fix the problem.” COOPER: “To fix the problem, you're doing this compromise bill. It does call for $650 million that was earmarked under Trump to actually still go to build the wall.” HARRIS: “I am not afraid of good ideas where they occur.” COOPER: “So, you don't think it's stupid anymore?” Doctor withheld results of puberty-blocker study for political reasons A medical doctor and leading proponent of transgender procedures for minors recently admitted that she deliberately withheld the results of a taxpayer-funded study because it showed there were no positive mental health effects for gender dysphoric children who used puberty blockers, reports The Christian Post. Dr. Johanna Olson-Kennedy, who heads the largest youth gender clinic in the United States at the Children's Hospital of Los Angeles, told the New York Times that she feared releasing the results of the study would lead them to be "weaponized" by opponents of such procedures. J.K. Rowling, author of the Harry Potter series, summarized the truth well in a tweet. She wrote, “We must not publish a study that says we're harming children because people who say we're harming children will use the study as evidence that we're harming children, which might make it difficult for us to continue harming children.” 115-year-old woman's secrets: fresh food and love of God And finally, America's oldest person died on Tuesday at her home in Houston at the age of 115, reports The U.S. Sun. Remarkably, Elizabeth Francis was living with her 95-year-old daughter and her 69-year-old granddaughter. Born on July 25, 1909, she lived through two world wars, two plagues and 20 U.S. Presidents, the first of whom was former President William Howard Taft. According to LongeviQuest, a database on the world's oldest people, Francis was the third-oldest person in the world at the time of her death, What was the secret to her long life? Her 69-year-old granddaughter referenced her diet. GRANDDAUGHTER: “She did have a garden. A lot of her food out of her garden, she would cook herself.” Plus, Francis never smoked or drank alcohol nor did she need glasses or hearing aids. Her 95-year-old daughter talked about her late mother's guiding principles. DAUGHTER: “Always do the right thing. Treat each other as you would have them treat you.” And in a May 2024 story on the Houston ABC affiliate, Francis cited 1 John 4:8. FRANCIS: “He who does not love does not know God, for God is love.” Since her voice was soft, she said, “He who does not love does not know God, for God is love.” Close And that's The Worldview on this Friday, October 25th, in the year of our Lord 2024. (Adam@TheWorldview.com) By Jonathan Clark Russian invasion continues to take toll on Ukrainian clergy Last Saturday marked two years since Russia invaded Ukraine. During the suffering of war, many are looking to churches for help, putting a great strain on clergy. Kenneth Nowakowski, a bishop of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church, told Aid to the Church in Need that clergy report “unimaginable suffering” in the last couple years. He said they are starting a program called “Healing the Wounds of War” to equip church leaders to minister to those facing extreme loss. He said, “Our responsibility is to find out what help people need and do our best to help them.” Fewer Brits and Welsh identify as Christian Christian identification in England and Wales fell below 50% of the population in recent years for the first time. However, the U.K. region of Northern Ireland tells a different story. The region is home to nearly two million people, making up about 3% of the U.K. population. A new survey, found 80% of people in Northern Ireland identify as Christian with 50% as practicing Christians. Twenty-one percent describe themselves as Evangelical; 35% pray weekly; 23% attend church weekly; and 13% read the Bible weekly. Trump beat Haley in Michigan primary In the United States, Fox News reports that on February 27th, Donald Trump beat Nikki Haley in Michigan's Republican primary, 68%-26%. Trump said, "I can tell you this November cannot come fast enough. We have the worst president in history--the most incompetent and the most corrupt president, and we can't let this continue. We're going to make America great again, greater than ever before." Appearing on The Ingraham Angle on Fox News, Victor Davis Hanson, Professor Emeritus from California State University, analyzed both Biden's downward spiral and Trump's upward comeback. HANSON: “I think we're getting to a point of no return, Laura, with the corruption issue, the cognitive issue, and the unpopularity and disaster of his agenda. And now this defection within the Democratic Party, it's more of a question of not if they're going to try to remove [Biden], but when and how. And I don't think they have the answers to either one. It's really the most remarkable meltdown of a president we've seen in our modern era. “And it's juxtaposed with probably the greatest political recovery of Donald Trump since Richard Nixon in 1962. And Donald Trump, the more they tried to demonize and incarcerate him or use lawfare against him, the more popular he becomes.” The persecution of a Christian businessman A Christian businessman is facing a civil lawsuit for rescuing a child from an abusive situation. Back in 2009, Phillip Zodhiates, along with two Mennonite pastors, helped Lisa Miller and her daughter, Isabella, flee the U.S. Miller had converted to Christianity, leaving a lesbian relationship. She then wanted to protect her daughter from the abusive and lesbian influence of her former partner. However, the courts awarded the partner custody. For their parts in rescuing Miller and Isabella, Zodhiates and the two pastors faced years in prison. Zodhiates now faces a civil lawsuit as well. The trial is set for September 1st of this year. Please pray for him. Mitch McConnell to step down from leadership this November Mitch McConnell announced he will step down from his position as the Republican leader in the U.S. Senate this November. He still plans to finish his Senate term, ending in 2027, reports the Associated Press. The Senate Minority Leader from Kentucky has served in the chamber for nearly 20 years. He is the longest-serving Senate party leader in U.S. history. McConnell turned 82 last week and described this time as the sunset of his work. He articulated his fundamental political vision. McCONNELL: “I believe more strongly than ever that America's global leadership is essential to preserving the shining city on a hill that Ronald Reagan discussed. For as long as I am drawing breath on this Earth, I will defend American exceptionalism.” 30% of Americans believe that laws should reflect Christian values The Public Religion Research Institute released a new survey on Christian nationalism in America. The survey identified Christian nationalists as those who connected Christianity, American identity, and the U.S. government with statements like “laws should be based on Christian values” and “God has called Christians to exercise dominion over all areas of American society.” The study found 10% of Americans completely agree with such statements; 20% mostly agree; 37% mostly disagree; and 30% completely disagree. Over the last two years, the proportion of those who reject Christian nationalism has slightly decreased, while the proportion of those who are just skeptical has increased. Psalm 33:12 says, “Blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD, the people He has chosen as His own inheritance.” 114-year-old woman is oldest living American And finally, a 114-year old Texas woman named Elizabeth Francis is now the oldest living American. This came after 116-year-old Edith “Edie” Ceccarelli died in Northern California last week. Francis is also the fifth oldest living person in the world. She was born in Louisiana in 1909. She has one daughter, three grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren. After Francis celebrated her 114th birthday last year, Ben Meyers with LongeviQuest said, “[She] is admired around the world, both for her longevity and her approach to life. Reaching this milestone was never an aspiration for her, merely a byproduct of how she lived her life every day, doing right by her loved ones and by God. We can all learn from her example.” Proverbs 3:1-2 says, “My son, do not forget my law, but let your heart keep my commands; for length of days and long life and peace they will add to you.” Close And that's The Worldview on this Thursday, February 29th in the year of our Lord 2024. Ms. Marsh pleaded guilty to two counts each of driving under the influence (DUI) causing serious bodily injury and driving with license suspended (DWLS) causing serious bodily injury after she rear-ended another vehicle. The trial court sentenced her to five-year prison sentences on each count. Ms. Marsh appealed to the Second District Court of Appeal, claiming that convictions for both DUI with serious bodily injury and DWLS with serious bodily injury as to the same victim violate the constitutional protection against double jeopardy. The Second DCA agreed. The State of Florida asked this Court for review, arguing the Second DCA's decision conflicts with another appellate court decision. Elizabeth Francis 'authoress of Gift - from Spiritual wealth to financial wealth" joins us again this week to discuss the fascinating concept of Ebbing times. Elizabeth will be joining us monthly to share her views on psychic awareness, the awakening and how current affairs fit into the bigger picture. This months discussion is on the "Ebbing Time". A period where dramatic changes happen which ties neatly into the period of change we're now in and connecting with the whole 2012 / Awakening idea. I asked Elizabeth to expand on this: The ebbing time, that's right, is complemented by the flowing time and it continuous, like the waves of the sea - life is never static but it has a rhythm to it that if we can identify we can p repare ourselves for. Some consider we stay static during the process, and I understand where that thought comes from, but I think it is far more complex than that, well from what I have witnessed it certainly is. It is a concept I have worked on over the years, based on the ebb and flow of life, the yearly cycles, the cycles of the moon of course, its also tied into the 7 mini cycles and 28 year major cycles of Saturn's return. Then applied it to the history of society up to this present day.
In today's show we chatted with Psychic author Elizabeth Francis about her successful debut book titled Gift: From Spiritual Wealth to Financial Wealth. We touched on her own psychic awakening and experiences, the reasons for writing the book as well as discussing the times we are living in with the many changes happening all around us. To listen to the 50 minute audio interview please use the player above. One of the fasination topics Elizabeth discussed was the "Ebbing Time". A period where dramatic changes happen which ties neatly into the period of change we're now in and connecting with the whole 2012 / Awakening idea. I asked Elizabeth to expand on this: "Yes, the ebbing time, that's right, which is complemented by the flowing time and it continuous, like the waves of the sea - life is never static but it has a rhythm to it that if we can identify we can prepare ourselves for. The economists know it as boom and bust." "Gift - From Spiritual Wealth to Financial Wealth" provides clear, detailed information and explanations that expel many of the myths that surround established spiritual concepts. It shows how to decipher the spiritual codes that come in the forms of signs, symbols and dreams to reveal the messages contained therein. The purposes of correspondences are also explained together with the role auguries and omens have to play in this process. Gift also provides a step-by-step guide that helps you to acknowledge, identify and harness your unique psychic-self. Practical information is also given for those who wish to turn his or her spiritual wealth into financial wealth by becoming a professional psychic. If you think it is time to start your or enrich your spiritual journey then Gift is the book for you. I was moved to write this book after being inspired by my clients, many of whom asked if I had written a book. Back then of course the answer was "No, I haven't", but all that started to change in 2006 when I first put fingers to keyboard. Gift is published by Capall Bann, and can be ordered through the major high street book shops
