Hey, folks! Today on the feed we're sharing an episode of an amazing Audio Fiction series called THIRTEEN. I am OBSESSED with this show. And the folks who make it are pretty awesome too. They were kind enough to help us out IN A BIG WAY for our launch of Someone Just Like You and we'd love to be able to send some new listeners their way.  Thirteen is an audio-fiction podcast that tells slow burn, atmospheric, spooky stories, releasing on the 13th of each month. These are original stories, only found on Thirteen. Not Reddit classics or creepypastas. Eerie tales that'll stick with you - less Friday the 13th and more Haunting of Hill House. You'll find yourself immersed in an eerie universe of the supernatural, occult and of course a haunted house or two. Thirteen is currently releasing their an annual October series. A long form original horror story told over five episodes. In this series - A group of friends play a spooky game as kids, only to find out that it comes back to haunt them as adults. IN THIS EPISODE: Part One, “What happened to Emma.”  It's just a kid's game, right? Three months after the broadcast from Base Theta (and beyond), we see how the world has been affected. Transcript here: https://monkeymanproductions.com/2023/09/mto-s4-e20-transcript/ Thank you for listening to the last full episode of Moonbase Theta, Out, featuring what I think is our largest cast ever - Evan Tess Murray, Serena Rahal, Corey Spruill, Tom Zalatnai, Robin Regalado, Becca Marcus, Tal Minear, Dalia Ramahi, Leslie Gideon, Cat Blackard, Cass McPhee, M.J. Bailey, Tau Zaman, David S. Dear, Anjali Kunapaneni, Dallas Wheatley, Sarah Rhea Werner, Hazel Stapp, Shereen Lani Younes, Cole Burkhardt, Elissa Park, Alicia Atkins, Steven LaFond, NayMyo Win, Rissa Montanez, Anna Godfrey, Tina Daniels, Lisette Alvarez, Emma Sherr-Ziarko, Claudia Elvidge, Jen Ponton, Jen Ponton, Journee LaFond, Danyelle Ellett, Gabriel Tankeo, and Leeman Kessler. And various voices in the outro that were most of those folks and a few more.  Written by D.J. Sylvis; Cass McPhee is our audio engineer. Our theme music is “Star” by the band Ramp; our cover art is by Peter Chiykowski. Music for the intro segment was “Extra Real News” ; music for the outro was "The Real Story"; both by Trace Callahan. And that's it, folks. That's really where the story ends - there are four bonus minisodes to come, but those dive deeper into the characters that each is focused on, they don't really push the plot anywhere new. The story, like Barnett Bell says about revolution, like what Bilbo Baggins says about roads … goes ever on, but that doesn't mean it will all be told in the same way. I hope our little Moon tales stay with you, that you think your own thoughts about what comes next, maybe tell your own stories with a bit of Roger and Alex and Ashwini and Michell and Wilder and Nessa and Tumnus in the bones of them. Maybe one day I'll find my own way to talk about them again as well. But in the here and now, we've reached the end … and I'll say it one more time, thank you so much for listening.  Our Exectutive Producers are Sarah Müller and Beka B, and our associate producers are Marty Chodorek, June Madeley , Timothy LaGrone, Marilyn Reid, Marissa Robertcop and Linda Boyer. Thank you guys so much for your support, and helping and trusting us to bring this story to life. We love what we've done with it, and we hope you love it as much as we do. As we bring this series to a close and thank you yet again for supporting us through it all, this is a great time to talk about how you can join us on our next adventure. COMNG SOON: Created by the team behind The Patron Saint of Suicides, YOUNG'S INFINITE CITY is a full-cast science fiction audio drama set in the near-apocalypse. Rosalind Young is the most influential person on the planet. And she's just gone missing. In the middle of the Pacific Ocean, warships from seven countries surround a giant white mass floating in the water. To us, it might look like a marshmallow the size of a small island. A few decades from now, people will recognize it as M3, the most valuable substance on the planet, a sponge that provides drinking water for hundreds of millions of people a year. People kill for it. Countries might go to war for it. As the inventor of M3, Dr. Rosalind Young is the wealthiest person alive and the founder of Natural Law, the world's largest corporation. She might be the one person who can diffuse the standoff, but no one can find her, including her wife and business partner, Grace Adamu. To prevent a panic, Grace has kept Rosalind's disappearance private. Because Grace also knows something she keeps to herself – Rosalind Young is mentally unstable. With her success, Rosalind Young has gone from eccentric to paranoid, even delusional. Rosalind believes she might have killed as many people as she's saved. Her invention boosted the global water supply but also unleashed untold havoc and violence, and she believes she's haunted by her victims. Some nights, she runs through her home and shoots at ghosts in the shadows. She's spent billions on a passion project called the Infinite City, a walled city in rural Maine where construction never ends. Almost no one knows what's in there, not even Grace. But if Rosalind Young hasn't been killed or kidnapped, Grace is fairly certain where she'll be. So when Rosalind Young disappears, Grace needs to search for her discretely, and seeks the help of the only other person who knows her wife as well as she does – Rosalind's estranged son, Charles Davis. To stop a war, they will search for her in the City that might finally be forced to reveal its secrets. Young's Infinite City was created by Alex Dolan, produced by Alex Dolan and Audiohm Media, and co-written by Alex Dolan and Vince Dajani.
