Whoa just watched the final Equalizer movie. It's a giant can of whoop ass! Makes a perfect dude movie. I also a movie recommendation and book recommendation. 1. Book: Ta-Nehisi Coates - "Between the World and Me." 2. Movie - Tenet by Christopher Nolan
All Robert McCall was trying to do was basically retire from handing bad guys' asses to them and killing them in the process... But they couldn't just leave well enough alone. Sucks for them. Enjoy, people.

Ein sehr ungemütliches Rentnerdasein pflegt Denzel Washington in The Equalizer 3, wenngleich in angenehm italienischer Kulisse.

Review of the new action film starring Denzel Washington
Time for more DENZEL, and more EQUALIZING, as the third and final(?) installment of the EQUALIZER series is upon us. So join Brian and Kent as they talk all the highs and lows from this franchise as it pulls in an impressive opening weekend.
Robert McCall is back....and this time, he has ventured to Italy after having spent most of the previous two films mostly around his hometown of Boston. McCall is once again played by Denzel Washington in this third (and final) entry of the action film franchise which kicked off in 2014. This is also the third entry in a row directed by Antoine Fuqua who had previously directed Washington to his last Oscar win for Best Actor for the film Training Day from 2001. After recovering from a gunshot injury which nearly killed him, McCall now finds himself settling in a lovely small town in Southern Italy. He's hoping to get past the violence which has marked most of his career in the CIA and his post-CIA career as an....Equalizer. Unfortunately, the local Italian mafia has other ideas as he notices them threatening his town and its people, many of whom he has now befriended. So guess what happens next? Yup the Equalizer starts to.....EQUALIZE once again. ;) Co-stars include Dakota Fanning, Eugenio Mastrandrea, David Denman, and Gaia Scodellaro. Denzel and Antoine have clearly decided they want a holiday on the Sicilian coast, but to ensure they don't have to pay for the whole thing themselves, they decide to tack on making a movie. And that movie is The Equalizer 3. Will Robert McCall finally meet his match? Or will he continue to ensure all are equal when it comes to violent endings? For this week's main podcast review, I was joined by Dan Bayer just a day before I left for the Telluride Film Festival to record so we would have something for you all to listen to today. We're reviewing the latest film from filmmaker Antoine Fuqua, "The Equalizer 3," starring Denzel Washington, Dakota Fanning, David Denman, Sonia Ammar & Remo Girone. The third and final film in Fuqua and Washington's violent, action-packed justice trilogy loosely based on the television show of the same name, the third outing finds Robert McCall trying to enjoy his retirement in Italy when trouble comes knocking on his door yet again. What did we think of it? Tune in as we discuss the violence, action, performance from Denzel Washington, and more in our review. Thank you, and enjoy! Summer may be over, but we still have some equalizin' to do here at Breakfast All Day. Our great friend Tim Grierson helps out with a review of "The Equalizer 3," which finds Denzel Washington righting wrongs when the Mafia terrorizes an Italian village. And Alonso's husband, Dave White, steps in for a couple of reviews while Alonso's away covering the Venice Film Festival: the surprisingly charming Netflix comedy "You Are So Not Invited to My Bat Mitzvah," and the bland Hilary Swank drama "The Good Mother," in theaters now. Enjoy the long holiday weekend, and check back next week for the latest installment in our "Was It Great or Were You 8?" series. Thanks for spending some of your time with us!
