This week, we're joined by Eric Vespe - aka Quint from Ain't It Cool News - to talk the ongoing phenomenon that is Netflix's Stranger Things, whether Pete's Dragon is another live-action hit for Disney, and just why the summer of 2016 has been such a lackluster one at the box office. All this, and the definitive answer as to whether Superman should have broken Zod's neck in Man of Steel in the latest episode of our look at the week in geek!

Eric Vespe and John Gholson discuss Ghostbusters and Ghostbusters II, as well as the various canonical and non-canonical offshoots, spinoffs, and wholly unconnected diaspora connected to them: video games, toys, and even Ecto Cooler.

Paul Walker's performance in Hours is a different animal. In the film, he stars as a man who loses his wife during childbirth and must watch over his ailing newborn in a hospital evacuated by the threat of Hurricane Katrina. It's high concept with a big beating heart, and we'll speak with writer/director Eric Heisserer about the challenges of crafting it, and the contextual shift left by Walker's tragic death.
