Following backlash on Reddit for our lack of preparation last week, we have instituted a professional course correction for Part 2 of our Summer 2026 Movie Preview: we watched the trailers this time, and we've mapped them into a highly scientific rating system ranging from "Must See" to "Go to Hell."This week, we dive into the upcoming cinematic landscape to debate whether Hugh Jackman is being grizzled-hero typecasted in The Death of Robin Hood, why Nate Bargatzi's new family comedy The Breadwinner is an antiquated disaster, why Pixar never seems to whiff when it comes to Toy Story, as well as Hokum, The Furious, and Leviticus.Along the way, Tom breaks down Steven Spielberg's Disclosure Day, Tim pitches himself as a professional safe-cracking piano tuner, and we take massive detours into the theology of whether God has a soul, a plan to fix a brand-new Billy Joel statue in Oyster Bay, and why Wall Street refuses to call it "cryptocurrency" anymore. For full-length weekly bonus episodes check out the TCGTE Patreon!Like the show? “Disclosure Day” and “The Odyssey” are expected to dominate the summer box office, but they’re not quite here. Instead, we’ve been left with an underwhelming start to the summer movie season to go with the conclusion of several seasons and series of streaming favorites. On this week’s episode, co-host Bruce Miller shares his thoughts on movies that missed the mark, from “Power Ballad” to “The Breadwinner” to “Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu.” And then there is another movie with low expectations: “Masters of the Universe.” Co-host Terry Lipshetz shares his thoughts on the conclusions of “Euphoria,” “Beef,” “Half Man,” “The Testaments,” and “For All Mankind,” before turning to the start of the latter’s spinoff, “Star City.” About the show Streamed & Screened is a podcast about movies and TV hosted by Bruce Miller, a longtime entertainment reporter who is the retired editor of the Sioux City Journal in Iowa and Terry Lipshetz, managing editor of the National Newsroom for Lee Enterprises based in Madison, Wisconsin. This week on End Credits we're going to work it. No one would accuse this podcast of being fashionable, but with this episode we head work our way back to style in addition to our usual substance by reviewing The Devil Wears Prada 2, which is now in a theatre near you. And since we're going back, let us also go back in time to the Summer of 2006 for another draft! This Wednesday, May 20, at 3 pm, Adam A. Donaldson and Peter Salmon will discuss: Summer Movies of 2006 Draft. Twenty years ago from this summer, we watched as the Pirates of the Caribbean fought for a dead man's chest. Tom Hanks raced around Paris search for the Da Vinci Code. The X-Men took their last stand (not really). Superman returned, and so did the clerks. The house was a monster, the ex-girlfriend was super and the Devil wore Prada. These are among the movies we might draft as we go back to the Summer of 2006! REVIEW: The Devil Wear Prada 2 (2026). Based loosely on legendary (infamous) Vogue editor Anna Wintour, the original The Devil Wears Prada followed an aspiring journalist played by Anne Hathaway going to work for a demanding magazine editor played by Meryl Streep. Now, 20 years later, Hathaway and Streep, plus co-stars Stanley Tucci and Emily Blunt, all return for an encore as Streep's Miranda needs Hathaway's Andy to rescue her reputation, and her magazine, in the midst of PR crisis, but is The Devil still as delicious with the second bite? End Credits is on CFRU 93.3 fm and cfru.ca Wednesday at 3 pm.
Chaz and AJ called attorney Michael Elkins this morning to get some historical context with the Mike Vrabel scandal, as a former NFL coach lost his job and his lawsuit due to similar infidelity. Plus, speed cameras, Disney fails, and what to do if you find $100. (0:00) In Dumb Ass News, a woman was interviewed by the news for her "service;" sending letters to families from their dead pets. (10:31) Chaz and AJ offered a similar dead pet service to the Tribe, but for free. Callers shared memories of their dead fish or hamsters, and AJ channeled them for an audio message about their life as a pet. (16:53) Is it worth spending your money at a movie theater this summer? Mike S. was in with Chaz and AJ this morning to share the movies he's excited about, from "The Odyssey," to AJ's pick of "Jackass: Best and Last." (25:18)

Mike’s favorite season is Summer Blockbuster season. However, he is feeling differently after the list came out of the Top 10 most anticipated movies of Summer 2026, according to 7,000+ people surveyed by Fandango. He tears into the list but also gives why he is hopeful that Gen Z will keep movie theaters alive. In the Movie Review, Mike talks about the Apple TV movie ‘Outcome’ starring Keanu Reeves. He plays Reef Hawk, a damaged Hollywood star who must look into his past to confront demons and make amends after he is extorted with a mysterious video clip. Mike shares his thoughts on Jonah Hill as a director, questions Keanu Reeves recent role choices and why this comedy falls flat. In the Trailer Park, Mike talks about the new horror movie called Backrooms. It stars Chiwetel Ejiofor as an employee who stumbles upon a mysterious doorway that leads into an endless nightmare space and is directed by Kane Parsons who is only 20 years old! After a ridiculously long hiatus, the SportsAlcohol.com crew is back to talk about the biggest summer blockbusters... of 40 years ago. Time travel, space travel, relitigating Vietnam, a bunch of mouthy kids, James Bond, and an overserving of Chevy Chase; truly, this summer had it all, by which we mean a couple of good movies tops! But Ben, Jeremy, Marisa, Sara, and Jesse find some bright spots and some cultural touchstones to discuss in this odd assortment of (a few) classics and (more) curiosities.
Front Row Classics welcome author John Malahy to take a trip back to the 1980s. John recently authored "Rewinding the 80s: Cinema Under the Influence of Music Videos, Action Stars and a Cold War". Brandon and John discuss the decade in which cinema was first heavily influenced by pop culture. Yet, the decade remains unsung in terms of its many cinematic achievements. "Rewinding the 80s: Cinema Under the Influence of Music Videos, Action Stars and a Cold War" is available from Turner Classic Movies and Running Press wherever books are sold. John Malahy is a film lover, a veteran of Turner Classic Movies, and a product of the 1980s.
