Actor Steve Toussaint, known for his role as Lord Corlys Velaryon in House of the Dragon, may have inadvertently confirmed a major casting decision for the upcoming third season. In a now-deleted Instagram post, Toussaint shared a cast list for House of the Dragon Season 3, Episode 4, revealing the inclusion of Prince Daeron Targaryen—a character long speculated to appear in the show. The post was quickly taken down, but not before fan accounts captured and circulated screenshots across social media platforms. The list also included Lady Jeyne Arryn, a character who briefly appeared in Season 2, suggesting an expanded role in the upcoming season.Daeron Targaryen is the youngest son of King Viserys I and Alicent Hightower, making him the younger brother of King Aegon II, Queen Helaena, and Prince Aemond. Unlike his siblings, Daeron was sent to be fostered by House Hightower in Oldtown, a decision made to solidify the family's influence in Westeros. Though absent from the first two seasons, his existence has been subtly acknowledged in dialogue, most notably in a conversation between Alicent and her brother, Ser Gwayne Hightower. In Fire & Blood, the novel by George R.R. Martin that serves as the basis for the series, Daeron is known to be a skilled dragon-rider, bonded with Tessarion, a blue-scaled she-dragon. While details about her age and growth differ in the source material, she is expected to be large enough for battle by the time the Targaryen civil war—known as the Dance of the Dragons—reaches its peak.Daeron's arrival is a significant development in the ongoing struggle between Rhaenyra and Aegon II for the Iron Throne. With another dragon-rider entering the fray, the balance of power may shift dramatically. His presence could also deepen the internal conflicts within House Hightower and the Targaryen factions.Additionally, Toussaint's leaked cast list hints at other notable absences and inclusions. Episode 4 will reportedly omit major players such as Prince Aemond, Otto Hightower, and Addam Velaryon, while featuring Lady Jeyne Arryn. If Jeyne plays a more substantial role, this could indicate increased focus on the Vale and its strategic importance in the war. This is not the first time House of the Dragon has faced early leaks. Casting confirmations and behind-the-scenes photos frequently surface online, fueling speculation about future plotlines. While HBO has yet to officially announce Daeron's casting, Toussaint's deleted post serves as the strongest evidence yet of his upcoming debut.Season 3 of House of the Dragon is currently in production, with a release date expected in 2026 on HBO and Max.Who is Daeron Targaryen? What This Means for Season 3A Pattern of Early Reveals

In "Fire that Burns for Good," Kent and Nathan answer the question, "Why the hell?" What reason could a loving God have to threaten people with fiery judgment? The post Fire That Burns for Good first appeared on Faith Recovery Podcast.
In FIRE and EMS, it's our job to respond to other peoples' emergencies regardless of their nature. We all know that people call us for some very serious and sometimes very crazy things, but ultimately, we are the ones charged with adapting to the situation and providing help. We've spent hours training for any possible situation. We train on the fireground. We train in the EMS skills lab. And we train online. But what are we doing to make sure that we're doing right by ourselves? Are we investing the time we should into our own health and well-being? Are we ready to take a first-responder role in our own lives? In today's episode, I will talk about how we can be our own first-responders, what exactly that means, and I will provide you with some ways we can actively take on this role in our own lives. -- IGNITEd Firefighter Podcast Facebook Group --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/ignitedff/message
#69: Last time we talked about using a “bond tent” strategy to reduce sequence risk in the years just before and just after retirement. In FIRE communities, an alternate strategy that has become popular is the “yield shield.”A yield shield strategy involves holding primarily investments that pay a high dividend yield. The theory is: if the investment pays a dividend yield of 3-4% that might be all you need to cover your safe withdrawal rate. If you don’t ever have to touch the principal, sequence risk might disappear entirely. But is it really that simple? This week, in part 2 of our 3-part series on asset allocation, we continue our discussion with Karsten Jeske, CFA, about the pros and cons of a yield shield strategy. We start by wrapping up our glide path discussion from last week, then dive into a critique of the yield shield. We discuss:How early retirees with kids should plan for key expense milestones during retirement that traditional retirees have already dealt with (college, buying a home, etc)Pros and cons of a yield shield strategyWhether investing in dividend kings or dividend aristocrats helps to address the consThe importance of looking at total return when analyzing the yield shield, and why a high dividend doesn’t translate into higher total returnReasons why the yield shield can fall short (and examples where it did)The right way to define success of a yield shield strategyWhy Karsten doesn’t fundamentally believe the yield shield does better than a plain vanilla stock indexCheck it out here:https://hackyourwealth.com/yield-shield-critiqueThis yield shield critique has been very controversial in FIRE communities. Are you persuaded by it? Or do you believe the yield shield performs better? Why or why not? On April 21, 1930—Easter Monday—some rags caught fire under the Ohio Penitentiary’s dry and aging wooden roof, shortly after inmates had returned to their locked cells after supper. In less than an hour, 320 men who came from all corners of Prohibition-era America and from as far away as Russia had succumbed to fire and smoke in what remains the deadliest prison disaster in United States history.Within 24 hours, moviegoers were watching Pathé’s newsreel of the fire, and in less than a week, the first iteration of the weepy ballad “Ohio Prison Fire” was released. The deaths brought urgent national and international focus to the horrifying conditions of America’s prisons (at the time of the fire, the Ohio Penitentiary was at almost three times its capacity). Yet, amid darkening world politics and the first years of the Great Depression, the fire receded from public concern. In Fire in the Big House, Mitchel P. Roth does justice to the lives of convicts and guards and puts the conflagration in the context of the rise of the Big House prison model, local and state political machinations, and American penal history and reform efforts. The result is the first comprehensive account of a tragedy whose circumstances—violent unrest, overcrowding, poorly trained and underpaid guards, unsanitary conditions, inadequate food—will be familiar to prison watchdogs todaySupport this show http://supporter.acast.com/House-of-Mystery-True-Crime-History. Episode 194: The Walton Experience On 11/5/1975 a group of loggers in the mountains of northeastern Arizona observed a strange, unusually bright light in the sky. One of them, Travis Walton, recklessly left the safety of their truck to take a closer look. Suddenly, as he walked toward the light, Walton was blasted back by a bolt of mysterious energy. His companions fled in fear. When they reported an encounter with a UFO--something they would have considered impossible if they had not witnessed it themselves--the men were suspected of murder. For five days authorities mounted a massive manhunt in search of Walton or his body. Then Walton reappeared, disoriented & initially unable to tell the whole story of his terrifying encounter. In Fire in the Sky Travis Walton relates in his own words the best-documented account of alien abduction yet recorded, the story of his harrowing ordeal at the hands of silent captors & his return to a disbelieving world of hostile interrogators, exploitative press & self-styled debunkers. Travis recounts the struggle to get a fair hearing & confronts his detractors with a stinging rebuttal.
