For once we have a trio of episodes that are packed full of Things Happening, a rarity for Transformers Energon. Alpha Q fucking dies, Megatron gets head, Optimus sets himself on fire for no reason, Omega Supreme becomes Optimus' skinsuit, Shockblast becomes large, Shockblast dies badly, Optimus punches Ironhide in the face, everybody gets new colors, and Optimus becomes REALLY huge. Of course, just because things happened doesn't mean they weren't boring and stupid, but you can't win em all. Noise Space | Discord

While Audrey is off enjoying a birthday break from the drudgery of Transformers Energon, Nero is here to tell you about the lost episode of the show, and by 'lost' we mean 'they literally didn't dub this one for no discernible reason'. And that's pretty bad, because its a big episode for Scorponok, Ironhide, and Alpha Q, and its absence opens a minefield of plot holes that the dub never really bothers to fix. Noise Space | Discord

Ryan appeared in several major musicals in London's West End, spending four years in Andrew Lloyd Webber's musical Evita in the role of Magaldi and then playing Ché under the direction of Hal Prince.[1] He went on to appear in a cameo in the film version of the musical directed by Alan Parker. He left Evita to play Mac in the SAS action film Who Dares Wins for director Ian Sharp. In 2003, Ryan worked as a swordmaster and fight director on the film King Arthur directed by Antoine Fuqua. His duties included consulting with the director and writer regarding designing all aspects of the knights fighting styles, training all the principal actors including Keira Knightley, Clive Owen and Stellan Skarsgård, planning and choreographing their action. In 2000, Ryan played U.S. theatres with original Monty Python member Eric Idle, performing comedy roles in Eric Idle Exploits Monty Python at venues including New York's Carnegie Hall and the Hollywood Bowl. The team later recorded the show exclusively for the Comedy Channel. He then went on to play John Dickinson in the Los Angeles stage production of 1776 directed by Gordon Hunt. Ryan began working on the 2007 film Transformers during filming as the on-set voice of several different robots. This work continued throughout filming and into editing, before the actual casting of voice-over talent. He was then cast as the voice of the character Bumblebee. Ryan also voices Ironhide and Hoist for the Activision video game based on the film. When Ryan was in the studio recording his lines for the actors on set, Michael Bay used the lines Ryan recorded for Bumblebee in the film. But Ryan didn't know that it would be used, and if so he said he would have used a different younger voice. He returned to voice Bumblebee as well as Jetfire for the sequel Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen and the Activision Game based on the film. In early 2009, Ryan continued voice work on Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen working directly with Michael Bay and Alex Kurtzman almost right up to the release of the film. Ryan is an author and has written for DC Comics and Harper Collins as well as writing several screenplays. Ryan was the co-creator, along with artist Chesca Potter, of the Greenwood Tarot, a variation on the standard tarot deck involving pre-historic European imagery. In Episode 308 of the Seibertron.com Twincast Podcast, the show kicks off with news from New Zealand: the arrival of Velocitron Speedia 500 Shadowstrip, a G2 redeco of Legacy Dragstrip, and the first indication that we will see a new set of G2 Stunticons. The conversation then turns to this year's Transformers Hall of Fame fan vote, whose categories and format leaves the cast befuddled and skeptical. The Twincast then takes on the Super7 ReAction line, which has revealed a slate of off-the-beaten-track additions to their release schedule, including toy-deco G1 Galvatron, G2 blue Grimlock, and most notably, G1 Prototype Unicron. After some discussion on this unique Unicron concept, the Twincast returns to our retrospective segment, where we take a look back towards 2012: the oddball GDO (global distribution organization) subline including Powerdive and Swerve, the Fall of Cybertron video game tie-in figures such as Grimlock and Bruticus, and Transformers Collector Club exclusives, in particular Over-Run and Runamuck. The show wraps up as it does in nearly every episode, with a round of bragging rights.

Studio Series Voyager Ironhide causes a stir before a short look at leaked listings for more upcoming toys is discussed, as is tradition. Flame Toys has announced upcoming model kits of many more characters, including the bizarre and obscure Gilthor which has the cast pleased and puzzled. In-hand impressions of newly released figures follows, including a plethora of new toys including (but not limited to) Titan Cybertron Metroplex, Commander Motormaster, MPM Blackout, most of the Velocitron Speedia 500 lineup including Voyager Override and many more. In this our fifth look into Greenskins we explore the stories of two of the greatest contemporary warbosses. Skarsnik rose to power within the crooked Moon tribe through savvy leadership and quick dealing with both enemies and allies. Exiled for his mercantile nature he fought his way back to the very heart of Karak Eight Peaks to face a former ally to claim the title of King of Eight Peaks. Grimgor Ironhide led his Immortulz across the northern old world decimating everything he could get his hands on. Interested only in besting the greatest foes he was brought to heal by a chaos warlord and suffered what can only be described as an existential crisis before beginning the journey to prove he was “Da Best Scrappa Evaa!”   This month's episode is sponsored by Grimtoof's Coin Gobblas and Bickestadt School for the Retarded.   Show Notes and Imagery for this Episode: https://layingdownthelore.com/ep15/   _______________________   If you dig what we're putting down and want more juicy content, head over to our Patreon.

Have you ever been without something or someone for so long that you ache from places deep within yourself? And when you finally become reacquainted, the crushing realization that reality will never live up to expectation washes over every fiber of your being and leaves you a convulsing, sobbing waste of human life? Well put on some of that extra runny mascara and squeeze into your party dresses, because after a longer than anticipated hiatus due to all sorts of disasters only a middle aged family man would ever have to deal with, Jay and Benny are back! And what better way to celebrate our return than with an absolute dumpster fire of an animated movie, based on a flaming crap heap of an 80's cartoon, which spawned frustratingly inarticulate action figures, all of which Benny somehow loves more than life itself? Transformers - the 1986 cartoon, not the abominations that Michael Bay crapped out after a night of shooting motor oil into his genitals - really is a movie from our youths that should never have existed. From half the Autobots we grew up loving being gang executed in the first 5 minutes, to Orson Welles gasping out Unicron lines while being resuscitated on a hospital gurney, this movie is a shining example of the power of nostalgia. Sure, Optimus Prime rocket jet-leaping into battle and “arise Rodimus Prime” are goosebump-inducing moments, but this is one of those movies that we love solely because of the time in our lives that it represents. When we had all the time in the world. When our biggest concern was having to eat an extra veggie for dinner. When our main sorrow came from having to put Optimus Prime and Megatron down for dinner. All of those moments before growing up, getting a job and raising a family absolutely annihilated our wills to live. It sure as heck isn't because this is a good movie, because it absolutely is not. Transform and roll out with us, and watch this movie through the lenses of a 9 year old as we dive back into our childhoods and talk about things like: Can this movie's cast calm the #$%@$ down? Orson Welles, Eric Idle, Judd Nelson, Leonard Nimoy, Robert Stack, Casey Casem...say what you will about the movie, but the production team didn't skimp on the talent We feel as though there was a better way to introduce new characters than having most of the ones we loved getting unceremoniously gunned down in cold blood. Ironhide getting a Megatron cannon to the skull? Cold blooded While we're on the subject, it isn't as if they committed genocide so that awesome new characters could take their place. Is Arcee better than Ratchet? Is Kup better than Ironhide? Should Blur even be allowed to exist in this world? We think not Jay can kiss Benny's posterior; Stan Bush wrote the soundtrack to our lives. I dare you to play Dare and not rock the heck out This entire mess of a movie produced two moments that you will Youtube again and again. Optimus exploding into the air to gun down Decepticons is the animated kids movie equivalent of Rambo opening up a 50 cal on Myanmar soldiers Ultra Magnus is far more of a repugnant coward than we remember him being. From aggressively not caring about comrades presumably dying, to clawing away at the Matrix while he's gunned down into pieces, he's sniveling and worthless Most of the side stories are completely pointless. The ocean world gives us an annoying child to entertain Hot Rod, Kup, and Grimlock, and the junk planet gives us horrible looking robots who conveniently have interstellar spaceships ready to launch. Yes, we get it...here are shark and motorcycle robots for you to consume, little piglets The final fight between Hot Rod and Galvatron/Unicron is cheesy, terribly animated, and makes no sense. It's also one of Benny's favourite moments in all of movie history, so take that however you like

On episode 268 of the Seibertron.com Twincast Podcast, the cast begins with a 2020 retrospective, starting with the objectively and subjectively best Transformers of the year - your mileage may vary. Continuing on, the crew carries on with the "most 2020" Transformers moment and the worst Transformers anything of the past year. The cast lightens up the mood with a volley of predictions for 2021, both reasonable very-likely-to-happen predictions as well as predictions that might be considered wishful thinking. Next, the crew talks about the latest installment of the Netflix War for Cybertron trilogy: Earthrise. Specifically, episode 6, which includes plenty of setup for the third and final installment: Kingdom. On a side note, the crew eagerly awaits the Quintesson Drone version of Ironhide that appears in the series. The show moves on to the reveal of Masterpiece Thundercracker, which, while eagerly anticipated, surprised no one, and the crew shares their opinions on the direction the Masterpiece line seems to be taking. As per usual, the podcast ends with a round of bragging rights, where everyone shares what they acquired since the last episode.

2010 was the heyday for free games released online and powered by Flash. Titles like Meat Boy grew in the wild frontiers of Newgrounds and other websites that catered to those looking to play games in their web browsers. Into the mix stepped Uruguayan studio Ironhide Games. The company had found success with a few minor titles, but their latest game, Kingdom Rush, achieved a rare level of success. With more than 300 million plays under its belt, the developers created a version for the then new iPad. This portable version found massive acclaim and propelled the creation of a mobile version for iPhones and eventually Android. It became one of the most popular games in the world for a window of time.
