We have arrived at the 2nd Major of the year in the Women's game this week as the players head to Pennsylvania for the 79th US Women's Open at the fantastic Lancaster Country Club! It is the 2nd time that the US Women's Open has been hosted at this William Flynn classic design where it hosted the tournament in 2015 where a 20 year old In Gee Chun would win the first of her 3 Majors and maintains a special affiliation with Lancaster!  With Nelly Korda winning 6 out of her last 8 events including the first major of the year at Chevron beating Maja Stark it is easy to see how it could take a mammoth effort to stop Nelly winning another major and making it 7 wins in 9 but we are here to guide you through some of the best other players!  Craig is joined by Scott Mader (@BJays 129) on Twitter to discuss who can mount a serious challenge to Nelly in Pennsylvania this week on a course that demands high Greens in Reg/Par 4 Scoring/Approach/Driving Acc with multiple elevation changes, angles of shots/tiny greens & Conestoga River flowing through the course, this US Open should be an interesting viewing to see who can mastermind a strategy of such a stern test. Who has the patience to win a US Women's Open title?  Thanks to Scott for coming on with me to chat who we fancybwith a couple of regular plays in both cards!    I'd like to say if you are struggling with anything related to Mental Health please reach out to someone it will make the world of good! I hope Grayson Murray had found inner peace, a truly tragic story! R.I.P Grayson Murray! Listen in & Download via Podbean, Spotify & Apple Podcasts. Thanks a million! Enjoy!

This week Sonja recaps her weekend at the Whitefish 4th of July Tournament. From her Pit Vipers, to her 13 on hole 13, to dipping mugs in a BFP at the Bulldog, she leaves no detail uncovered. Blakely went to Bull Bustin, acted as a mechanic, took her kid to nerd camp, and recapped their ladies night last week with their big horse and buggy win.  Allisen Corpuz won the U.S. Women's Open at Pebble Beach, and Blakely spit some amazing fun facts about Michelle Wie, Nasa Hataoka, In Gee Chun, Jiyai Shin and Charley Hull. Sepp Straka won the John Deere Classic, Mark Hubbard gave the finger to either his caddy or someone else (we will be doing a full investigation and keep you posted), and the big names in the PGA skipped out on the John Deere to head over to Europe to watch the Wimbledon and get ready for the Scottish Open! They also touched on the LIV drama between Brooks and Matt Wolffe, and Jay Monahan's health scare. The girls are preparing for ladies night this week, and playing in the RBC Open Scramble at GlenEagles in Cochrane. Lots to unpack on the recap pod tonight as Ashleigh Buhai wins the 2022 AIG Women's Open at Muirfield by defeating In Gee Chun in a four hole sudden death playoff. Meanwhile stateside in Greensboro, Tom Kim wins the Wyndham by five shots after a 61 on Sunday to close down the 2022 PGA Tour Regular Season - and Nick Faldo's CBS broadcasting career. Off the course, eleven LIV players - including Phil and Bryson - have filed an antitrust lawsuit against the PGA Tour with three players seeking a temporary restraining order aiming to compete in this week's FedEx Cup Playoffs. We try to make sense of the lawsuit with Lauren Donahue, a Chicago based attorney who specializes in antitrust, competition and trade regulation and then have an extended chat with friend of the pod Will Bardwell who helps contextualize the legal implications and what's ahead in both short and long term scenarios.

The PGA Tour stayed in New England for the Travelers Championship, where Xander kept it together to notch a victory in Connecticut. Hosts Alex Lauzon and Michael Russell look at his win, Theegala's 72nd hole collapse, and an amateur's surprisingly good week (1:49). The LIV Tour heats up again this week in Portland, and that dirty oil money keeps buying golfers to jump ship, including Brooks Koepka, but also forces the PGA Tour to change up their own schedule (5:02). The KPMG US Women's PGA Championship electrified the DC area this weekend at Congressional, where a surging Lexi Thompson wasn't able to overcome her own short game to beat In Gee Chun (11:47).  Across the country at LA Country Club, Irishman Padraig Harrington won the US Senior Open in his first attempt, becoming the third golfer in a row to win in their debut at the major championship (13:46). This week's John Deere Classic event is a bit of a snooze-fest ahead of the Open Championship, but you can always watch the Scottish Open instead on a major US network all weekend (15:26). The CoL Book Club continues with Alan Shipnick's "Phil," and the guys are knee deep in the emotional story of Phil's 2010 Master's victory, and Phil's growing gambling problems on and off the course (17:07). In Tuned In, the guys head to the movies and give us their reviews. Alex finally caught the new Tom Cruise blockbuster "Top Gun 2," while Michael got to see The King in "Elvis" (27:11). This week's guest is a professional golfer from Australia, known best in the states for beating Tiger Woods twice in the annual match play tournament, Nick O'Hern. Nick chats with Alex about growing up "down-under," beating Tiger, his new book "Tour Mentality," and being a part of the new D3 Golf App (31:28). It's almost July, and Alex's Red Sox are surprisingly surging in the AL East, but they still have a long way to go to catch Michael's Yankees (1:00:37). The Stanley Cup was finally given out, and included on the Colorado Avalanche is a fellow Quinnipiac alum, Devon Toews (1:01:38). As the guys #AlwaysEndWithFood, Alex is getting all greasy with his favorite hangover food, while Michael is making babka with Oreos (1:02:29).

Will and Holly talk about who from the 30 final players have the chance to win the Tour Championship and the FedEx Cup title.  Holly welcomes Aly N. Benitez, JD, MBA and Founder/Board President of Pulse of Orlando, Inc. to the show. Prior to tonight's show Holly was able to present a check for some of the proceeds from the GOLFUNITED Fore PULSE Charity Scramble Event. Aly updates listeners about what has been going on since the tragedy three months ago. Pulse of Orlando has raised more than $250,000 since the tragedy. After the break Holly and Will speak with ESPN.com's Bob Harig who is at East Lake on the eve of the Tour Championship. Bob said it's a little subdued without a pro-am and no spectators on Tuesday's practice rounds.  Holly asks Bob about Jason Day's nagging back injury. Bob said that Jason only started practicing a couple of days ago. Bob said that Jason had gotten away from the preventive measures to help heal his back with playing so much golf and it caught up with him. Bob and Holly talk about Jordan Spieth who is the defending champ. Holly's sentimental favorite might be Paul Casey. Bob says that Casey could spoil the whole scenario by placing second in the final event after not winning the whole season and none of the top guys winning.  Will and Bob talk about the way the FedEx Cup is set up. Last year Spieth missed the cut at the first two events of the FedEx Cup and still won the title.  Bob picks Spieth to win the Tour Championship given how he studied so well last year and how well he plays Bermuda greens. Holly asks Will about the foursome at Grand Cypress contest that is starting this week.  Steve Eubanks from Global Golf Post talks with Holly about the Evian Championship which was won by In Gee Chun. Holly and Steve talk about some of the players who have not played well of late. Steve talks about Lydia Ko and how her driving is giving her problems with distance.  Holly asks Steve about East Lake who lives in the Atlanta area. Steve has played the course since it opened many years ago and has seen it go through some changes. He feels that whoever drives the best this week will win the Tour Championship. Steve picks Dusting Johnson to win. Todd Lewis from the Golf Channel joins the show for the final segment from East Lake. Todd and Holly talk about the money that is one the line. Over the years a lot of the great players, like the top 5 players, winning the FedEx Cup has turned into a big deal as compared to when it started off. Todd talks about this is the final event of the season and how it focuses just on individual play. That is followed by the team competition of the Ryder Cup. Todd feels that Bubba Watson is in the driver's seat for the final spot on Team USA.  Will asks Todd about the U.S.'s chances. USA is favored on paper over the Europeans. However, USA has not won in a while and has a lot of pressure on them. Todd doesn't think there is a clear favorite and it's going to be quite a show. Holly says there is a lot on the line for Captain Davis Love III. Todd points out that the last 3 winners of the Tour Championship and the FedEx Cup have come from the Top 5 in the standings. He looks for Adam Scott to win. Will picks Dustin Johnson from the Top 5 and Jordan Spieth from the other 25 players.  Holly agrees with the Jordan Spieth pick but takes underdog Paul Casey from the Top 5.

It's typically at the Congressional Golf Club in Bethesda, Md., but Bob stated that it can't be hosted there every year. The weather has been rainy and humid. Jeff and Bob talk about that it's the first time in 10 years, other than the Presidents Cup, that a PGA event has been at the RTJ course.  Jason Day was back in the winner's circle at the RBC Canadian Open. Hit 3 birdies in a row to overtake Bubba Watson. Jeff and Bob talk about Tiger Woods' performance of late and what the expectations should be given his swing changes and injuries. Bob says that Tiger needs to play these tournaments like no one cares what he shoots, but that's impossible.  But he needs the time on the course and maybe 10 tourneys down the road he emerges? Jeff asks Bob about Tiger's explanation of what is going on with his swing and the technical terminology he uses that the media and general public just can't grasp. He's having a hard time getting rid of his old swing habits. It would be nice for him to say that I'm not at the level I want to be at this time and I have to take the bad with the good. Bob feels that how Tiger approaches the reasoning behind his swing change and isn't as humble as he should be. Tiger thinks he can turn it around and he can find it.  Maybe he doesn't doubt creep in like most of us do. Does he think a major win is right around the corner? He thought so at the British Open and two holes in to the tournament it seemed that it was over. Bob talked about his article he wrote on Tiger and how it seems like Tiger is rushing back all the time instead of taking it slowly. He thinks Tiger should play some of the first 6 events at the beginning of the 2015-2016 season to gain some FedEx points and get back into things at a little slower pace. Adam Schupak, Golfweek, calls in to talk to Jeff from the 3M Championships in Minnesota and the Greats of Golf on Saturday Exhibition Scramble. It's like a Hall of Fame get together. The event is completely free. Players sign autographs on Saturday. Players tell stories about other players and needle one another.  Jeff talks to Adam about the 144th Open Championship. Jordan Spieth was the story to coming so close to winning the third leg of the Grand Slam and then missing the playoff by one stroke. Adam talks about the great play of Zach Johnson. Two major championships and 12 PGA Tour wins and probably punched his ticket to the Hall of Fame. Todd Lewis, Golf Channel, starts off the back nine portion of the show talking to Jeff about the Quicken Loans tournament, Rory McIlroy and other headlines in the world of golf. Billy Hurley III asks for help to find his missing father who went missing a couple weeks ago. Todd said they thought that Billy would talk about the Robert Trent Jones Golf Club, Annapolis, Naval Academy and other things ... and when he Billy pleaded with the media to help find his father it was a little shocking. Todd spoke with the police department and found out that Billy has not heard from his father but the police have tracked his credit card use in TexArkana.  Jeff also talks to Todd about Sang-Moon Bae who has to leave the PGA Tour and serve his conscription in the South Korean military.  Maybe he thought the government would be lenient on him since the President's Cup is in Korea. Todd spoke with KJ Choi and found out that the public has turned away from Sang Moon Bae since he is trying not to do his public service. Steve Eubanks, Global Golf Post, calls in to wrap up the hour to talk about the Women's British Open in Turnberry Scotland, the LPGA's 4th major championship of the season. Steve feels that this is one of the biggest for the LPGA and always wonderful when this venue rolls around and see how the best women golfers in the world play such a classic golf course. Some of the best swings in golf come from the LPGA players. It's interesting to see how the best women in the game plod their way around the links golf course. Inbee Park is going for the career Grand Slam. She has some back trouble at the time and has "limped" in to the major. Steve said that back trouble is the worst for golfers as you don't know really exactly what you are doing.  Jeff and Steve discuss some of the LPGA golfers chances, like Michelle Wie, who is battling injuries and showed up to the tournament in a walking boot. Stacy Lewis is looking for her first major and it has been 54 tournaments since she won. Jeff mentions that Stacy has placed second many times and third as well.  Steve, who follows Stacey's game, said that Lewis' ball striking is the best that it has been in years.  Jeff asks Steve about In Gee Chun, U.S. Women's Open Champion, chances of winning the fourth major on the LPGA. Steve said that In Gee is not fluent in English yet, but when she is she will have a lot to talk about with the media. The South Korean golfer is a math genius even though her nickname on the tour is Dumbo.  Steve said it's because she hears everything that is going on around her and has nothing to do with her intelligence. As with any tournament, especially on a links course, the weather is a big factor and it's anybody's tournament to win.
