By popular demand, David Hughes and Josh Williams are back with Analysing Everton, their excellent tactics and analytics podcast. And it's a good time to return with the Blues just two points off top spot going into the international break following the 1-1 draw at Manchester United last weekend. So have our hosts changed their pre-season predictions? David and Josh give their opinions on that, then dig deep into the numbers to explain whether Everton's impressive start to the campaign is built on solid foundations. Focusing on what new boss Rafa Benitez has done to the team, they also look at the performances of prominent individual players, including Demarai Gray, Andros Townsend and Abdoulaye Doucoure, and also talk about where Dwight McNeil, the Burnley winger who was linked with a move to Goodison Park in the summer, could fit in.

Liverpool v Man City gives us 45 minutes of pure pleasure on Sunday. Salah goes all Messi/Kinkladze, there's a joint man of the match and comedy double act Guardiola and Dean. In terms of the title race, will City's squad depth prove crucial in the second half of the season? Everton take a point at Old Trafford, driven by a Doucoure transformed by Benitez. United meanwhile are not even fun to watch under Solskjaer.  Chelsea are top heading into the international break. But is Lukaku becoming less involved in the Blues' play? Elsewhere, there are alarm bells at Burnley, the blossoming Hwang-Jimenez partnership and David Raya – goalkeeper of the season so far. Eddie Benitez (born November 12, 1962) is a guitarist. Born in Puerto Rico, his family relocated to Europe soon after his birth. He was raised in Italy and Spain, and his father Francisco arranged private lessons for Eddie from the legendary classical guitar virtuoso, Andres Segovia. Benitez played his first concert at New York's Madison Square Garden in front of 20,000 fans at age of 14. Benitez signed with Fania/CBS records in 1976, his first release was "Nightlife", which he followed six months later with "Essence of Life." Both albums went gold and he later performed with such stars as Tito Puente and Mongo Santamaria. His music is a blend of smooth jazz, New Age, and Latin. Benitez's performing career came to a sudden halt at the age of 23 when he was diagnosed with Hodgkin's lymphoma. This changed his life forever as he survived the cancer and took time off to reflect on life and spirituality. Throughout his life, Benitez has claimed to have had many spiritual visions while overcoming a heart attack and an unexplained three-day coma. He was under investigation for many healings in his Florida home. "There is no healer, but faith in God, Christ and in yourself," he told the investigators. ****************************************************************** To listen to all our XZBN shows, with our compliments go to: https://www.spreaker.com/user/xzoneradiotv *** AND NOW *** The ‘X' Zone TV Channel on SimulTV - www.simultv.com The ‘X' Chronicles Newspaper - www.xchroniclesnewpaper.com

This week's episode begins with reds, Terry McGivern & Gary Murray discussing how good it felt to be back at a packed Anfield for the first home game and victory over Burnley, which sees them pick out some individuals for some well deserved praise. The blues, Ian Mills & Gary Judge, follow up, revealing they were disappointed with a draw, given the chances they had in the game, where despite crediting Leeds tactically, they believe Benitez set out his team perfectly. Listener questions, follow with question on some players that aren't good enough still being played regularly by the blues, with Michael Keane, in particular coming in for criticism. This week in history is next where the reds look back to this week in 2014 and the signing of Mario Balotelli, whilst the blues look back to 2005 to when Everton were in Villarreal, trying to qualify for the Champions League for the first time. Millsy hosts this weeks higher or lower which is based on transfer fees for both clubs. The show ends with the blue side looking to their 2nd round Carabao Cup tie away to Huddersfield before their third game of this premier league season away to Brighton, while the reds look at an early top of the league clash, against Chelsea in the 5.30pm game on Saturday.

The Totally Football Show with James Richardson

Jimbo is alongside Duncan Alexander, Charlie Eccleshare and James Horncastle as Italy & Spain set up a semi-final meeting at Euro 2020. Roberto Mancini's Italy knock out the number 1 ranked team in the world in Belgium, in a performance that has everything. How have the Azzurri managed to put together this 32-game unbeaten run? And why wasn't Mancini more in demand? Spain are victorious on penalties against 10-man Switzerland but are hugely wasteful in front of goal again. Alvaro Romeo tells us why the Spanish might be about to click, through unity and conviction. But do they lack personality? In Saturday's quarter-finals, it's Czech Republic v Denmark and then, England v Ukraine in Rome. Yevhen Muzyka tells us why Shevchenko isn't as popular as you might think. Plus we talk Sancho, Nuno and Rafa Benitez, all on the move in club football.
