I did not realize the fight he was having with his insurance company to do its duties. Jeff's insurance company denied a necessary MRI to determine the location of tumors in his bone. After the appeal, they once again denied coverage. They subsequently approved a C.T. scan that does not see inside the bones. They approved chemo without another required medication. In effect, the insurance company has been giving him the runaround. 2021 was not a complete bust. There are really good things that we can rejoice about. Two police officers identify police bias in Texas, Yes, There Were 10 Good Things About 2021. It was, indeed, a disastrous year, but we do have some reasons to cheer. This year, 2021, began with a huge sense of relief as Trump left office. We hoped to emerge from the ravages of COVID, pass a hefty Build Back Better (BBB) bill, and make significant cuts to the Pentagon budget. But, alas, we faced a January 6 white nationalist insurrection, two new COVID mutations, a sliced-and-diced BBB bill that didn't pass, and a Pentagon budget that actually INCREASED! It was, indeed, a disastrous year, but we do have some reasons to cheer: Police bias explained by two retired Texas police officers: Jeff Reese, former President of the Houston Peace and Justice Center and former Harris County officer and Shelby Stewart, former Houston Police Sargeant and activist visited with Politics Done Right. Joe Biden's government saved Christmas as he rescued the private sector's supply chain failure: The private sector failed at running its supply chain. Joe Biden came to the rescue and saved Christmas. Yes, republicanesque bragging. Remember how the supply chain became President Joe Biden's problem? I wrote early on that both inflation and the supply chain problem were a failure of the private sector, specifically, corporate inefficiency, greed, and incompetence. A NECESSARY RANT: Here is why student loan forgiveness must be payback from parasitic corporations: President Joe Biden has extended the student loan payment moratorium for 90 days. Don't balk at students but the system. A message to President Biden, we need student loan forgiveness, not deferral. It is important to note that in the aggregate, loan forgiveness is not a giveaway but a sound economic decision. Andrea Mitchell's attack of Biden's statement on oil prices lacks critical thought & skews polls: When the media discuss Republicans, they often use false equivalences. Andrea Mitchell's attack of Biden's statement shows a bias. Andrea Mitchell should know better. Most importantly, the lack of critical thinking and thinking through different levels of indirection is disconcerting. After all, the public still creds the mainstream media (MSNBC, CNN, ABC, CBS, NBC) even as Fox News remains a lying cultish network. PLEASE! Understand our economy. These guys lie, are immoral, and care nothing about most Americans: It is incredible how our leaders and media entirely disregard the well-being of all Americans. They do not care about this economy. If you want to see disregard for humanity with a smile, this is it. Firstly, why is a Republican economist who has a bias against government spending on social issues asked for an opinion on Build Back Better without proper context? Chris Hayes referenced an article written by Christopher Ingraham that points out that GOP Covid policy is deadly to their voters. It should be no surprise Trump-supporting science-denying areas of this country would show more deaths than anywhere else. We spoke about it ad nauseam. But just maybe showing the real data of an inordinate number of dead Republicans will change the minds of more Republicans. Former Rep. Nearly 20 years ago, the sport of college wrestling was rocked by deaths of three college athletes as they tried to cut weight. Billy Saylor, Joe LaRosa and Jeff Reese all died after massive dehydration complicated by the use of legal, yet mostly untested supplements. The result was sweeping change from the NCAA, including moving dual meet weigh-ins to one hour before and banning of anything related to weight loss that wasn't simply a product of hard work. Rubber suits, something advertised in wrestling magazines since the 1960's became illegal everywhere, not just at the site of competition. The use of saunas, while still beneficial according to some, was also banned.
