Millions of federal workers are deciding whether to accept or reject the buyout offer. Critics say the offer is a bad deal because the criminal-in-chief is not authorized to make that kind of deal. Congress must approve something like that. Benjamin Dixon, Pastor, Political Commentator, and Author of "God is Not a Republican" spoke with Roland Martin about why federal workers should not accept the buyout. #NoMAGABuyoutSee omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
It's Casual Friday! Emma speaks with Ben Dixon, host of the Benjamin Dixon Show, to discuss the week in news. First, Emma runs through updates on the confirmation of Project 2025 leader Russ Vought to the OMB, Trump's official destruction of USAID and the devastating impact it could have on US Agriculture, Trump's targeting of HHS, Pam Bondi's repeal of anti-foreign influence efforts, birthright citizenship, ICE's detainment of a DACA middle school teacher, the NCAA's transphobic policy, Mike Johnson's tax cuts for the rich, and Trump's ICC sanctions, before diving a little deeper into the Trump/Musk Administration's attempts to obscure the insane levels of their executive overreach. Ben Dixon then joins, jumping right into the need for the US public to rally behind their federal workers in the face of genuine intimidation and threats from the Trump/Musk Administration, exploring the obvious and extensive danger posed by allowing more space for Trump loyalists and obstructionists in the government alongside the necessary role they play in bolstering genuine attempts to resist this regime. After expanding on the major solidarity being shown between federal workers at this moment – including relevant unions – Dixon and Emma parse through Trump's declaration of a US-backed plan to ethnically cleanse Gaza, and Democrats' ongoing inability (or genuine lack of desire) to stand up for marginalized communities at home or abroad, wrapping up the show by reiterating his call to rally behind our federal workers. And in the Fun Half: Emma touches on the struggle from Democratic leadership and media actually to address the ongoing administrative coup, before looking to some exceptions to that trend, including Kyle Clark's coverage of recent blunders in Colorado and Texas Rep. James Talarico's tirade against the lies of “school choice.” The MR Team also watches Ben Shapiro's gleeful defence of Trump's ethnic cleansing plan for Gaza, and gets an update from the Crowder & Co. deposition, before diving deep into the long history of fascist regimes relying on rhetorics of efficiency and bureaucratic cutbacks to obscure their destruction of public welfare, plus, your IMs! Democrats need to lean into their bold physical and human infrastructure bills. Are Democrats duping blacks as this black pastor said? I enjoyed speaking with Pastor Stephen Broden even as it saddened me that a person with such a platform and raw intellect has the potential to cause such harm. Stephen Broden is a former Republican political candidate from the state of Texas in the 30th congressional district for the United States House of Representatives. Broden graduated from the University of Michigan with a Bachelor and a Master of Arts degree in Communication, and he later studied at the Dallas Theological Seminary where he received a Master of Arts in Bible Studies. Broden advocates in the Fair Park and South Dallas areas for economic opportunity, improved access to education, and against abortion. He is a spokesman for the black pro-life movement in Dallas. He is a founder of Ebony Berean, an organization whose mission includes informing African-American Pastors of the “Culture War.” Former President of the Association of American Physicians and Surgeons explains her opposition to Critical Race Theory. Benjamin Dixon makes it clear that Democrats and Progressive better get it together. As Right-Wing Dems Balk at Price Tag, Poll Shows 66% of US Voters Support $3.5 Trillion Package. The new survey shows Democrats' $3.5 trillion reconciliation proposal is slightly more popular than the far smaller $550 billion bipartisan infrastructure bill. --- If you like what we do please do the following! Former President of the Association of American Physicians and Surgeons explains her opposition to Critical Race Theory. Benjamin Dixon makes it clear that Democrats and Progressive better get it together. Dr. Tamzin Rosenwasser, an opponent of Critical Race Theory, engaged in a civil discussion that proved the debate's a distraction. She wrote an article on “Critical Race Theory” that I completely disagree with. Benjamin Dixon of the Ben Dixon Show Like It Or Not visited with us to discuss Democrats, the infrastructure bills, bipartisanship, and progressive angst with the Democratic Party. In this field, it is always easy to go off on tangents. Ensuring one is centered on the issues requires consultation among trusted sources. Check out the clip to hear Dixon's thoughts on the filibuster, Medicare For All, bipartisanship, the infrastructure bills, and much more. Most importantly, he tackles the vote and democracy. He is concerned about the trustworthiness of the Democratic Party. So far, they are not valuing the voters who sealed the deal, black folk. Dixon says there are activists out there who are now putting concepts into action. They are doing this irrespective of the who mostly talk. He expects some catharsis in a not-so-distant future. I hope he is right because many are running out of hope. And that is never a recipe for good outcomes. But I think he is on to something. Watch the entire interview. Benjamin Dixon is with us once again to discuss infrastructure, voting, and more. Neil Aquino is fighting for Democracy. A Right-Wing pastor endangers us all. Pastor Greg Locke is a clear and present danger to America. He made it clear no one in his congregation should take COVID precautions else they'll be thrown out. Many wonder how it is possible that so many Americans can be so resistant to save their own lives. After all, there is a life-saving vaccine. Tennessee Pastor Greg Locke is a clear reason. Benjamin Dixon visited with us to discuss Democrats, the infrastructure bills, bipartisanship, and progressive angst with the party. Neil Aquino was not going to wait for any organized movement to get involved. He is a citizen who made sure his politicians knew he would not let them rescind our voting rights. This was a call to action by a Houstonian, an activist, one of us. I was happy to see that an individual, without the need of some organized group or organization, would organically drive 180+ miles to spend a couple of hours in the Texas Capitol's rotunda. Officer Harry Dunn had the most prescient statement at the Select Committee Hearing where he said one should not have to be considered brave to tell the truth. But his request to Congress could not be discounted. A hitman sent them. I want you to get to the bottom of that. --- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/politicsdoneright/support

Sometimes I look at my black child and want to apologize,Because we birthed them into a society that can be so cruel and so uncivilized. The very thought of my black child venturing into this world without me silently terrorizes A lingering torment I've been forced to compartmentalizeBecause you see their black child could very well have been my ownEmpathy is when we grieve for their black child just like you would grieve for your own, Sometimes I look at my black child and wanna level with them,Because they were born into a system that will assassinate their character even after it has assassinated them, Forcing our Black parents to defend their black child's legacy before they've even had a chance to bury them. All because they were born into a system that has mastered the art of dehumanizing them, But I gotta compartmentalize that thought awayBecause look at my black child,When they go outside and play, They dream, they dance and deduce with the magnificence of their blackness, Only to have it gentrified and de-seasoned to be made palatable for the white massesBut look at my black child,The descendant of a People this empire could never break. A People so strong that their catalog of traumas is encoded in our DNAA People who have survived everything this universe has ever thrown our way, A People for whom overcoming is no longer sufficient, we shall lead the way, They will call you lazy,When they know you work harder. They will call you ignorant Because they fear you're smarter. They'll call you ugly,When you are the object of their desire,They'll call you uncivilized When they're the barbarians at the gate of their own empire.
Biden had to both slam and school reporters at the summit. I appeared on Like It Or Not recently to discuss Biden. But, unfortunately, the rich continue their assault on the masses. Joe Biden did mince his words as he really snapped at a reporter for misrepresenting what he said and asking a silly question. Joe Biden schools reporters on diplomacy. I was honored to appear on Like It Or Not with Benjamin Dixon & Rebecca Azor to discuss Joe Biden and Progressive angst with policy delays and faux bipartisanship. CRT GOP Projection, Texas Electric Grid failing, Biden slams GOP @ NATO, Like It or Not appearance This is not a joke. This is what Texans must live through. A governor and his party that has Texas in a state of disarray. It was just a few months ago when Texas suffered one of its worst freezes ever. Hundreds of Texans died. And it exposed the perils of Texas Conservatism, a failed electrical grid. Biden gave the perfect answer to the most important question at the NATO Summit. Did the MSM miss the importance of his response? As I watched the President's interview, I found it boring at first. There was nothing new. Then The Washington Post's Ann Gearan asked a question that he hit out of the park. This story is unbelievable. I have stated for a long time that Republican leadership are great at projecting. I was honored to appear on Like It Or Not with Benjamin Dixon & Rebecca Azor to discuss Joe Biden and Progressive angst with policy delays and faux bipartisanship. I always enjoy watching The Benjamin Dixon Show, Like It Or Not. It is always refreshing, fun, and substantive. And who could argue that they have the best DJ in DJ XXXclusive (@DJX3C)? I got up early to listen in on the show for some prep and was greeted with interspaced great music.--- If you like what we do please do the following! Arizona Republican state Senator & Majority Whip Borrelli called Mail-in Voters lazy. And we're roasting the totally ridiculous coming from the right-wing. All that and more on Like It Or Not!
So, uh… THAT happened! The election is finally over, kind of, Orange Man Bad has been defeated, we think, and everything in America is finally going to go back to normal. There’s now just the minor question of whether the Democrats can flip the Senate and actually have any hope of accomplishing anything — let alone any of the big bold ideas that Joe Biden apparently campaigned on — over the next few years. Battle lines have already been drawn as the activists who delivered Biden the election are already getting blamed for the otherwise disappointing result for the Democratic Party and the various spooks, neocons and reactionaries who have been invited into the Big Tent are now trying to ensure the party stays commited to carrying out a mostly conservative agenda. Given what we know about Joe Biden’s career, we’re a little concerned with the possibility that they’ll be successful, but luckily we had Benjamin Dixon of the Benjamin Dixon Show return this week to give us a much needed dose of optimism for the future. You can leave us a voicemail at: 202-570-4639. Smoke if you got ‘em. It's time to celebrate the defeat of Head-wound Hitler! Benjamin Dixon and Aida Rodriguez join Francesca for some hearty dunking on the Trump team, and also break down the blame game among Democrats for losing house seats. Plus, whether Biden will get to express all the anger Obama couldn't and why left critiques of Kamala Harris should still be anti-racist. Finally a game of Trump Jeopardy in honor of Alex Trebek that nobody seemed to want to play. Our GDPR privacy policy was updated on August 8, 2022. Visit acast.com/privacy for more information.
"In order for us to move toward engaging the prophetic ministry in our world today, we first must understand the prophetic ministry of the past. While I certainly believe that everyone CAN prophesy, as we previously discussed, I want to make it extremely clear that not everyone is a prophet nor does everyone have a prophetic gift. Let's take some time to look at the role and ministry of the prophet starting with the prophets of the Old Testament, whom I will refer to as the "prophets of old" (Lk. 1:70)." -Excerpt from the book "Prophesy" by Benjamin Dixon. The United States is rocked by protests against police violence as hundreds of thousands march from coast to coast. We are joined from New York by Margaret Kimberley and from Boston by Benjamin Dixon.
It's been a hell of a week, literally hell. Outraged humans took to the streets, ignoring the dangers posed by the global pandemic that's kept most of us at home for the past few months, to protest the murder of yet another unarmed African American at the hands of the very people who are charged with protecting us all. As a privileged white woman, I speak out, but know that I don't have the first-hand experience of what it's like to be black in America or how I can best help. A good place to start is by talking and listening. Today, I'm honored that Benjamin Dixon will join me today to continue the necessary conversation.
This episode shares an inspiring moment from the Bernie Sanders campaign from my hometown and my thoughts on why #VoteBlueNoMatterWho is a disingenuous attempt to shut down Bernie supporters, a great rant by the fiery progressive podcaster Benjamin Dixon, and then a ramble-cast by bike (with a bit too much wind...sorry, edited a lot of it, did my best!) about my relationship with bi-polar disorder and my ponderings about how our economic system makes us prisoners to time, and whether we can break that. Last, the final two chapters of book 1 of "The Teacher and the Tree Man."
Recently, millions of potential US voters heard newly-unearthed comments made in 2015 by Michael Bloomberg -- the billionaire, former New York City Mayor, and current Democratic presidential primary candidate. In his remarks, Bloomberg vociferously defended stop-and-frisk, an NYPD policy directive that disproportionately targeted poor people and minorities for warrantless searches. The controversy over Bloomberg's remarks raise questions about how the former Republican has risen to near the top of the polls despite having a policy record and political ideology largely out of step with the current Democratic Party. On today's episode, we speak to Benjamin Dixon, the independent journalist, commentator, and activist who publicized the 2015 Bloomberg stop-and-frisk comments via his Twitter and YouTube accounts on February 10. Since then, Dixon has continued to use his platform to publicize and problematize Bloomberg's record and rhetoric. We ask Ben about Bloomberg's history and governing philosophy, the corporate media's coverage of the Democratic primary, and the overwhelming role of economic power in electoral politics. We conclude by discussing the best practices for political advocacy that Ben has developed based on this and his other work.Reference Material:Dixon's un-earthed audio of Bloomberg's comments on "Stop and Frisk"Dixon's unearthed audio of Bloomberg's comments on “Black and Latino Males”Dixon's original tweet publicizing the Bloomberg audioDixon's recent article on Bloomberg's comments in The Guardian: “Bloomberg is avoiding all scrutiny.
