I've spent this whole season mentioning Camp Well and bringing on guests that I met there when I attended earlier this year. In this episode, I'm so excited to welcome back the founder of Camp Well, Jenn Jett Barrett. In our conversation, she shares how rest is deeper than just treating yourself, it means unpacking the lies we believe to truly stop our worry, wanting, and work to spend time with the Lord. She also chats about how finding her value in God instead of her accomplishments has restored her, why being silent requires practice, and how boundaries function as part of good stewardship of ourselves and the people closest to us. Find show notes here. Do you have a burning question that feels too small to ask? I have a really special episode for you today, thanks to a previous guest Jenn Jett Barrett who came on the show first in 2016 (ep 16) and then again in March 2022 for my financial series. In that most recent episode (#234, which was filled with amazing ideas for funding our dreams), Jenn offered to do a follow-up Zoom call to help a few of listeners with their questions on this topic. Trauma integration practitioner Mandy Mae Johnson was the first to respond when I put out the call in my private Facebook group, and she admits that her question felt too small to ask, but she asked it anyway. (Can I pause a sec to say how proud I am of Mandy for doing that!?) More about her segment of the episode below. Another listener Hannah Pierrou joins us as well for this conversation. She's a photographer, designer, illustrator and children's book author. She brings her question to Jenn about how to sell more of her children's books. Jenn responds to Hannah with insights on: Dedicating marketing dollars to activities with the highest return on investment, including how to get more of her books into boutique stores, Up-leveling her website messaging and putting buttons for revenue generating activities front and center on the home page, Creative ways to connect with her ideal customer and show how other families are engaging with the books, and Building an email marketing strategy now to prepare for a future podcast launch. For Mandy's part of our conversation, she is looking for creative ideas of additional revenue streams that could offset her one-on-one trauma integration practice. Jenn shares her thoughts related to: Collaborating with other organizations that have like interests, Creating an evergreen course for ideal clients at an entry-level price point, Website updates to clearly explain her best offers on the front page, Reaching clients who may not be ready for 1:1 services, and Steps to determine if nonprofit status is the way to go. There are so many ideas packed into this 45-minute conversation! Even if your dream is completely different from the pursuits Hannah and Mandy are working on, I have some questions for you at the very end to help you process and apply what you've heard to your own God-shaped dream. I hope you'll set aside at least 10 minutes after listening to this one for journaling and to consider how one of more of Jenn's ideas could work for you. Then, come on over to the Facebook group and share what came up for you! Although marriage is a picture of the gospel, it is not equal to it. The bible highly esteems marriage, but we make a critical mistake when we over-simply that staying married “no matter what” is the biblical standard. I was honored to interview Jenn Jett Barrett to hear her story of redemption after divorce. As a Christian and leader she experienced a lot of shame when her marriage failed after 15 years. I originally heard her story (on this podcast) when my first marriage was in a dark place and I was so encouraged by her dependence on the gospel for her healing, that I began following her. I celebrated from afar when she remarried a man who loves God and her very well. Jenn and I discuss shame around having difficulty in your marriage, dating after healing from a failed or broken marriage, the beautiful and sometimes complicated layers of remarriage and our refined views of biblical submission. This was a rich and gracious discussion that I was thankful to be a part of that I trust will serve you whether you have a healthy marriage or not, because likely you will walk with someone at some point who needs this perspective and truth when facing divorce. Learn more about Jenn Jenn Jett is a dream defender and risk taker. She spends her life ripping off roofs so that people can be lowered down into the healing hands of Jesus. The Enneagram. It's something you've probably heard about but maybe you have questions about what it is, how to use it, or why your friends are always talking about it. I sat down with Jenn Jett Barrett, the co-founder of The Well Summit and an enneagram coach for teams and couples. In a brutally honest, healing conversation, Jenn walks us through the origins of this tool, the many ways it can be used for good, and the warnings on how it has been overused and misused. Jenn is a dreamer, a doer, and a champion of risk takers. As an Enneagram teacher, she loves getting to take individuals, couples, and teams on a journey of understanding Enneagram through a biblical perspective. *** Stay connected with Greg on social @gregholder_ and check out today's show notes!

We believe marriage is a vow made with honor—cherished, worthy of fighting to keep, and should not be easily or quickly broken. As much as we wish it weren’t true, we realize that sometimes marriages fail. So, if you find yourself facing divorce or know someone who is, we believe it is vital, even in this difficult season, to walk through the next steps with knowledge, honor, and integrity. With that in mind, we invited our friend, attorney Leesha Newkirk Crouch, back to the show. You will learn that there is a path to amicable divorce where you, your ex, and your children can create the best possible scenario. Darlene and Julie ask questions about the entire process, how to find an attorney, what to ask, as well as the subjects of concern that you should be addressing. Leesha, having gone through the process herself, not only shares the knowledge for the legal side but offers compassion as well. We hope that this episode will prepare you because there may come a day when you or someone you love will experience a marriage dissolving. So, listen now and share it with someone facing this challenge. Single again and confused about what’s next? Are you ready for another relationship or is it too soon? Since our co-host Julie Graham is in this place we invited fellow widow and one of our most popular writers at The Grit and Grace Project online magazine, Ashby Duval, to share her story. Ashby, while pregnant with their first child, faced her husband’s unexpected passing and speaks to us with vulnerability and hope. She honestly shares her journey as she navigated grief and the world of dating once again. Darlene and Julie ask her the questions you might be asking if you’re single after death or divorce. Realizing that each story is different (that there is no perfect formula) they explore a few ways toward healing and possibly even finding a healthy relationship after this kind of significant loss. “Widowhood is a club you never wanted to be a part of but it’s a part of your story,” Ashby says to Julie in this real and raw episode.
