Pels overcome Ja and Kangz smoke Brooklyn.

The Kangz are no more, long live the Kangz. Sacramento showed up and showed out on TNT against the Nets, and I watched every minute and took some time to break it down. Also, the Knicks outlast the Jazz, Luka Magic, some Pelicans fly, and more!

The Kings go into Charlotte and steal a game on the road against the Hornets. Things looked dire in the 1st half for the Kings as they looked out of synch and half asleep on most possessions which let the Hornets shoot a whopping 61% from the field and 53% from 3 point range. But in a bizarre turn of events, the Kings came out of halftime and made adjustments, cut down on mistakes and proceeded to then capitalize on the mistakes that the Hornets were making to mount a comeback and ultimately win the game. Basically, the Kings turned the Hornets into the Kangz! The Kings showed a lot of resolve and toughness to mount such a comeback after such a poor showing in the 1st half and there's a lot be happy about what the players were able to do, Matthew Dellavedova made an appearance and was great! But it's unlikely the Kings ever face a team that was so hilariously inept, that this game should go down in Kings lore as the Reverse Kangz Game. In addition, Podcast hosts Owen and Fong also discuss the latest Kyrie Irving social media controversy, and Fong gets to celebrate the 49ers beating the Rams again. The vibes are not as strong as the last episode because Kings got a bit of a reality check against the Suns. Coming into Wednesday's game, the Suns rested basically their entire 1st and 2nd unit, leaving only their 3rd and 4th units to face the Kings. In what is a very familiar sight, these scrappy Suns smacked the Kings in the mouth to start and outplayed them for much of the 1st half. While the Kings ultimately fought back and got things in order for them to pull out the win, it's very concerning that the ghost of Kangz past still haunts this team. The hope will be that these kinds of game happen less often this season because the Kings will need to win every game they can if they're serious about making the playoffs. In other Kings news, the Kings waived Quinn Cook and Kent Bazemore this morning, and then signed Wes Iwundu and Jordan Ford. Kings have now lost 2 straight, both in spectacular fashion, losing the game despite being up 19 in both games. This new Kings team is still a work in progress, so bumps in the road are to be expected. But these 2 losses have unfortunately reminded Kings fans that these are still the Sacramento Kings, and they are still capable of being the Kangz.
