"All things have been delivered to Me by My Father, and no one knows the Son except the Father. Nor does anyone know the Father except the Son, and the one to whom the Son wills to reveal Him." Matthew 11:27 (NKJV) This is a legal declaration of the Father to the Son. Jesus is not acting on His own; He is operating under the full, delegated authority of the Godhead. You cannot operate in Kingdom Authority (Luke 10:19) if you do not understand Who gave you the authority. Jesus won the right to give us power because He walked in total submission to the Father. When you operate in His name, you are backed by the full weight of the Father's sovereign power. Every chain you break, you break with the Father's permission and the Son's power. "No one knows the Son except the Father. Nor does anyone know the Father except the Son..." This speaks to the absolute, exclusive intimacy between the Father and the Son. Ministry is not a job; it is a relationship with the Father. You cannot "know" God through theology books or academic study alone. You only know the Father through the Son. If you want to move in the miraculous, you must move from knowing about God to knowing Him in the secret place of intimacy. The measure of your authority in the world is directly tied to the measure of your intimacy with Him in the closet. "...and the one to whom the Son wills to reveal Him." This implies that the Father is not "hidden" from the world, but He is revealed by the Son to those who are hungry for Him. God is looking for those who are willing to be "revealed to." The reason so many remain in stagnation is that they are too full of their own self-knowledge to receive the Father's revelation. The Anointing That Destroys the Enemy's Yoke Matthew 11:28-30 When Jesus tells us to take His yoke, it implies we must first get rid of the enemy's heavy yoke. Most people enter Christianity looking for a life free from conflict, pressure, or difficult choices. They want a "peace" that is defined by the absence of trouble. Jesus exposes the truth: Following Him is not a path to human comfort; it is a path to radical realignment. If your version of the Gospel is "peaceful" with the world's systems, your own fleshly desires, and religious traditions, you are likely not following the Jesus of the Bible. Christianity is not about your personal comfort; but total allegiance to Him. The "sword" is the Truth of God's Word. When that Truth enters a life, it creates an unavoidable division between the old man and the new man, and between the Kingdom of Light and the kingdom of darkness. You cannot have both. You cannot be yoked to the world and yoked to Christ at the same time. The sword is designed to cut away the idols, the compromises, and the soulish attachments that are hindering your walk with Him. Jesus explains that this "division" will even affect the closest human relationships. This is not because Jesus hates families, but because He requires Supremacy. If your primary loyalty is to a person, a tradition, or a political agenda rather than the King, you are not fit for the Kingdom. The "sword" will eventually force you to choose: Will you prioritize the approval of man, or the mandate of the Holy Spirit? What man abdicated in the fall in Genesis, Jesus redeemed on the cross at Calvary. Satan has always wanted to be worshiped, and he tried to get it from the Son of God. The first thing Matthew chapter 4 is the Spirit led Him into the wilderness and the tempter came after Jesus fasted for 40 days and nights. The enemy will always attack you at your greatest vulnerability. Know this, attacks are not random but calculated. We are to know where our vulnerabilities are. We are called to finish well. All temptations fall under one of these three areas: 1 John 2:16 the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life Jesus came not only to be the Son of God but the Son of Man – to show us how to live dependent on God. In Matthew 4:1-11 Jesus told Satan to leave, and it wasn't until He did so that he left. This truth is the same for us. Until we command the devil to leave or to stop harassing us, he will continue.
