It is TV Theme Songs Week at Consequence, where we have been ranking and deep-diving into your favorite TV themes. One iconic theme is “Tossed Salad and Scramble Eggs” from Frasier, and with the show freshly rebooted for a sequel series on Paramount+, it was also time for a fresh take on the song. To learn more about this and the current state of TV theme songs, Liz Shannon Miller spoke to composers Bruce and Jason T. Miller.Bruce composed the original Frasier theme (along with Wings, Becker, and others), and brought on his son, Jason (‘Til Death, The Odd Couple -- as well as tracks for Kanye West, Keyshia Cole, and Reba McEntire) for the reboot to match the story seeing Frasier himself (Kelsey Grammer) reconnecting with his son, Freddy (Jack Cutmore-Scott).The Millers are not only father and son, but they are also best friends and creative partners. This is why getting their boots-on-the-ground perspective about their Frasier revamp and the current state of the theme song literally blew our socks off. “It was like, 'Don't mention anything about Seattle, nothing about crazy people, nothing about psychiatry, psychology, anything that has to do with the show, but make it germane to the show,'" Bruce recalls of writing the original theme.Check out the Frasier on Paramount + here.Listen to the full interview with Bruce and Jason T. Miller now and you can read the full article on Consequence.net. You can also check out our new "I Never Skip Intro" merch collection, a celebration of those who always stick around for a classic theme, including a T-shirt, hat, and holographic sticker. It's A Wonderful Podcast is the home of MACHINE MONDAYS hosted by the Movie Trivia Schmoedown's Jeannine "The Machine"; the best place for Schmoedown fans to start their week!! It was a little bit of a "Stars Week" in the Schmoedown this week as Jeannine's fellow faction-mates took centre stage!! Two singles match-ups, a teams match featuring Jeannine's former teammate Jacoby Bancroft and an exciting PPV match between Mark Reilly & Liz Shannon Miller are all in discussion today as Jeannine is excited about the improvements in her faction and doesn't understand the lack of respect shown to the Schmoedown's first champion, Mark Reilly!! #SmashCancer GoFundMe: https://www.gofundme.com/f/smash-cancer-help-kevin-smets?utm_source=customer&utm_medium=copy_link&utm_campaign=p_cf+share-flow-1 The Machine Theme by David B. Mark Reilly and Liz Shannon Miller have banked up enough wins in 2020 to be among the top Singles players in the league. However, a rough setback to start Season 8 has made every match count for them if they want to make a push for the Championship. The two face off in hopes of a title at the SchmoedownVersus.
