Anton Makerenko , pedagogo soviético, construiu junto com crianças, jovens e adultos a escola como coletividade. Ele foi um lutador social  em prol de uma educação voltada para o coletivo. Trabalhou principalmente com jovens e crianças, muitos dos quais retirados das ruas e associados ao crime. Viveu sob o regime czarista e com a vitória da revolução de 1917, pode junto com sua geração de pedagogos, implantar o projeto de uma educação emancipadora.

What can we understand about corruption, competition, power and wealth that drives the energy industry, from its depiction in a film? A seasoned intelligence operator, Tamara knows where to look for information across jurisdictions, and how to use knowledge gained to design strategies employed in asset tracing, reputation management, commercial disputes, controversies and crises. She is also called on by clients to support strategic decision making related to emerging and frontier markets. In this episode we interview Alex Turrall, an independent researcher and primary school teacher. We talk to Alex about two reviews they've written for Liberated Texts. Liberated Texts is an independent book review website which features works of ongoing relevance that have been forgotten, underappreciated, suppressed or misinterpreted in the cultural mainstream since their release. Liberated Texts focuses on texts with anti-colonial, anti-imperialist themes and those related to the history of Marxism, communism and revolution globally. We ask Alex to talk about the work of Soviet pedagogues Anton Makarenko and Vasily Sukhomlinsky. In doing so Alex touches on the interventions of these Soviet educators at two key points in Soviet history, after the revolutionary rupture with the Tsarist Russian Empire and in the aftermath of World War II. Along the way, Alex touches on different techniques and strategies illuminated by the books they reviewed for Liberated Texts. Alex also talks about the influence of these pedagogical figures within the socialist world and among liberation movements. Dlatego też zaczął szukać czegoś innego. W 1998 roku rozpoczął pracę w Gazecie Wyborczej jako dziennikarz działu gospodarczego. Po ponad 20 latach Vadim nadal pracuje w tej firmie. W tym czasie założył dział danych, który stał się znaczącą strukturą w redakcji. Ten ruch był zainspirowany obserwacjami, które poczynił podczas bycia na stypendium w Anglii. Vadim wspomina swoje rozmowy ze znanymi osobami. Twierdzi, że kluczem do takiej rozmowy są nieszablonowe pytania. Maciej poprosił naszego gościa aby dał mu wskazówki dotyczące prowadzenia wywiadu. Vadim podkreśla znaczenie researchu. Wiedza na temat gościa, tego jaką jest osobą, jak reaguje na pytania, co jest dla niego ważne, są niezmiernie istotne. Nasz gość jest autorem dwóch książek: “Tajne Służby Kapitalizmu” i “ Zawód: zwycięzca”. Dla niego pisanie książek było nowym doświadczeniem - różnym od dotychczasowej pracy reporterskiej. Podkreśla, że było to duże przedsięwzięcie logistyczne. Vadim chciałby aby widzowie i słuchacze zapamiętali, że nie zawsze trzeba zmieniać pracę aby odnaleźć satysfakcję z pracy.
