Boże Narodzenie to najważniejsze po Wielkanocy chrześcijańskie święto w roku. Ma przypominać o tajemnicy narodzenia Jezusa Chrystusa. Obchodzono je od IV wieku, najpierw w Rzymie. Do dziś liczne, świąteczne symbole znajdziemy także w sztuce. Na podróż śladami bożonarodzeniowych polichromii zapraszają Cezary Jastrzębski i Robert Szumielewicz. 

Ján 1,1-5 1 Na počiatku bolo Slovo, to Slovo bolo u Boha a to Slovo bolo Boh. 2 Ono bolo na počiatku u Boha. 3 Ním vzniklo všetko a bez neho nevzniklo nič z toho, čo jestvuje. 4 V ňom bol život a život bol svetlom ľudí. 5 A to svetlo v tme svieti, ale tma ho nepohltila. Svetlo viery a tma nevery. Hovorí sa, že tma neexistuje, že je to len absencia svetla. Môžeme o tomto výroku polemizovať, realita je ale taká, že ak sme trochu citliví na Ducha Svätého, tak musíme vnímať skutočnú moc temna, ktorá naberá na obrátkach a stále viac a agresívnejšie pohlcuje tento svet. Človek je už ale od narodenia otvorený pre túto moc zla a celá jeho DNA je presiaknutá vírusom hriechu nevery. Za tým všetkým stojí knieža temnoty a otec lži – satan. „Moc temna“ je duchovná skutočnosť, ale vďaka Božej milosti nás náš nebeský Otec „vytrhol z moci tmy a preniesol do kráľovstva Svojho milovaného Syna“ (Kol 1,13). Aby ale tma bola porazená, musíme žiť pri zdroji svetla – neustále v prítomnosti Pána Ježiša Krista. Potrebujeme si naplno uvedomovať, že každý náš nádych a výdych, každý náš krok je možný len preto, že Slovo nás udržuje pri živote (Sk 17,28). Preto majme v našom každodennom živote v srdci a mysli slová dnešného textu: „V Ňom bol život a život bol svetlom ľudí. To svetlo svieti v tme, ale tma Ho nepohltila“ (J 1,4-5). Napojme sa vierou na toto zasľúbenie a staneme sa výpovedným „svetlom sveta“ pre hynúci svet – tak svieť naše svetlo pred ľuďmi, aby videli naše dobré skutky… Modlime sa, aby nám Boh zlomil srdce pre tento (do zatratenia sa rútiaci) svet, aby aj vďaka nášmu svedectvu mnohí mohli byť „vytrhnutí z moci tmy“. Modlitba: Pane Ježišu Kriste, použi si nás ako Svoje nástroje milosti – plné Ducha Svätého, aby sme mohli niesť evanjelium všade, kam nás pošleš. Češi na sebe rádi a s gustem zahlížejí a hodnotí sami sebe velmi kriticky. Kdy jindy než na Vánoce si proto připomenout, že jiní nás mohou vidět pozitivně, mít nás rádi a obdivovat se nám. Proč vlastně? Obzvlášť pozoruhodné je takové hodnocení, když nás má rád někdo, kdo ani není migrant a kdo sem pravidelně několikrát za rok přijíždí ze zahraničí jenom a právě proto, že nás má rád. K takovým lidem patří Lužičtí Srbové, náš nejbližší národ. O lásce k Čechům a Moravanům hovoří bratři Lukáš a Jakub Novosadovi v nové epizodě svého sourozeneckého podcastu Hej, Slované s ředitelem střední školy v obci Slepé, s hasičem, náčelníkem lužickosrbského Sokola i velkým sportovcem Janem Hrjehorjem (neboli, jak sám říká, česky Honzou Řehořem).Ten bratrům vysvětlí, že národní obrození u našich sousedů vlastně není u konce, čehož dokladem je to, že intenzivně usiluje převzít z češtiny do lužické srbštiny některá slova, aby ji obohatil, zjednodušil, zbavoval německého vlivu a dále poslovanšťoval. „Moc se mi líbí, že při přímém přenosu sportovního vysílání říkáte, že je to živě. Nebo když ztlumíte telefon, říkáte, že si dáváte letadlo. To musím prosadit. Nebo běžky, protože lužickosrbsky jsou názvy těchto lyží nemožně dlouhé.“ Zato najít, zda lužická srbština nějak obohatila češtinu, se ukazuje být složité. „Možná by to mohl být poliwanc,“ říká Jan. „Jenže to je typ koláče, který u nás nemáme, takže bychom se napřed museli naučit ten koláč,“ podotýká Lukáš.Proč nás Jan má rád? „Protože všichni mí čeští přátelé jsou jako slunečnice. Všichni jste dobrotiví, všichni jste pokorní.“ Lukáše toto hodnocení překvapí, naopak Jakub mu přitaká: „To jsem rád, že tohle slyším, a zároveň nerad, protože když chci Čechy přiblížit balkánským Slovanům, tak nevím, jak to přeložit. V našem smyslu jižní slovanské jazyky pokoru nemají a nepoužívají, to slovo tam zní jako ponížení, ne jako chvála, natož jako něco kladného.“V další části Jan Hrjehor přibližuje svoje české zážitky s českými biatlonovými reprezentanty či vyjasňuje rozdíl mezi českou a moravskou povahou, což Lukáš k nelibosti Jakuba a režiséra pořadu Ondřeje Markuse Zemana poněkud rozporuje. Na závěr epizody Lukáš s Janem přesvědčují Jakuba, kdysi schopného fotbalistu, že by stálo za to podpořit Lužické Srby v jejich národním vývoji a naučit je sport, v kterém by se nehlídce na Němce mohli stát světovou špičkou, přestože zatím tento sport vůbec neznají – a to je nohejbal. Aneb konečně podcast, který nezůstává u slov a neváhá vydat se do akce.

Mluví o tom, že se s vedením strany dlouhodobě díval na řadu věcí úplně jinak a že po parlamentních volbách ani jednou nikdo z vedení nezvedl telefon s otázkou, co s volebním výsledkem dělat. Nakonec si přiznal, že zevnitř změnu neprosadí. „Já jsem si to odseděl. Zkuste si tam sednout,“ říká k tomu, že ve svém věku už nechce trávit čas věcmi, o kterých si myslí, že nemají smysl. Připouští, že část straníků žila v přesvědčení, že tak velká strana vždycky jednou za čas vyhraje a že byla uzavřená natolik, že každý, kdo řekne něco jinak, je vlastně nepřítel.
