Domenico Imperato a.k.a. Franz was born in 1987 in Naples. He started collecting tapes and videotapes about underground music when he was a very young boy and already fancied bands such as Prodigy, Daft Punk, Chemical Brothers, etc… At an early age he started collecting bootleg tapes made at legendary concerts in Naples and surrounding areas in the 1990s. He was a keen supporter of the team Angels of Love which he joined at the age of 15. This experience marked an important milestone in his artistic career. Ever since he was 16 he has shown strong feelings of enthusiasm for spinning vinyls and great skills in manipulating music. From the age of 20 to 28 he has been in charge of dj console at the best underground parties in Naples where he has worked with many djs such as Derrick May, Tiga, Dj Qu, Ben Ufo, Blawan, Roman Flugel, dj Tennis, Scuba, Raresh, Praslea, Dana Ruh, Alex Picone, Adriatique, Supernova, Analogue Cops, Prosumer, The Black Madonna ,Lehar, Musimeci, Solar. At the age of 21 he studied at the Nut Academy in Italy where he got his diploma in Electronic Music Producer and Live Performer. In 2009 he spent 6 months in London where he mastered his manipulating music skills. Since 2010 he has taken an avid interest in the project work that is about the great vinyl, analogue world. In August 2016 he released the track “Bad” on Big Area Records. The track was appreciated by famous artists like Laurent Garnier , Gel Abril, Slaker, Michel De Hey and others. In December 2016 he released the “Lost Phone” ep on Isolated Records Berlin .In June 2017 he released his first 8 tracks album “Un Viaggio nella Natura “ on Big Area Records. The album is inspired by a true story. Its titles, order of the tracks, melodies, groove and images describe the places and emotions felt during the artist’s amazing journey. In 2018 Domenico joined into a new freshly made organization called VJ Lab, based in Naples and making many parties in Campania area and all over Italy. D-FORMATION es Dimas Carbajo, propietario y principal exponente de BEATFREAK GROUP, alianza empresarial que se enorgullece de acoger en su seno, entre otros, al primer sello español de música electrónica underground, BEATFREAK RECORDINGS, que se ha encargado de llevar este estilo nacional a todo el planeta desde 1997. Con más de 25 años de trayectoria, tanto en cabinas de todo el mundo como en sus estudios en su faceta de productor, D-FORMATION es uno de los artistas más respetados en la música electrónica mundial. Muestra de ello es su álbum 'MADRID' para YOSHITOSHI, (sello de Deep Dish), que fue publicado en una de las series de recopilatorios más prestigiosos de la industria, siendo el único artista español en dicha serie hasta ahora. Con apenas 17 años, obtuvo el primer premio en el campeonato de DJs DMC de España, en dos ocasiones consecutivas y a partir de entonces su trabajo fue incansable, tanto como megamixer para numerosas discográficas multinacionales en España, así como recorriendo todo el país con el DMC con sus gigs. Poco después llegó otro gran proyecto, RESOLUTE DISTRIBUTION, que es una de las mayores distribuidoras de vinilos de España, con la que dio a conocer la música española por todos los rincones del mundo. For our nineteenth Chapter, Atapy leads the charge with the powerful Redub EP. He is joined by three talented horsemen from the label ranks: Javier Orduña, Malbetrieb and Luis Leon. They achieved their first notable success in 2007 when Sony BMG released their debut album ‘Downtown Underground, which included collaborations from the likes of GrandMaster and Melle Mel). Known for their distinctive DJ style their current set-up comprises live instruments, decks and Ableton to create an ever-evolving musical experience. Supernova have played at some of the most established venues and festivals on the planet, including ElRow (Barcelona), Monegros Desert Festival, Ministry Of Sound (London), Cavo Paradiso (Mykonos), Privilege (Ibiza), Kazantip Festival (Ukraine), Tenax and Magazzini Generali (Italy), Space (Miami) and many many more. House giant Defected Records has released a number of the duo’s productions including remixes of seminal records ‘Can You Feel It’ and ‘Strings of Life’ as well as the more recent Cassandra and The Light Goes On EPs. Other notable releases outside of the Defected stable include acclaimed remixes for Kerri Chandler on Bar A Thym and Hallelujah for King Street Sounds as well as their top-charted remix on Jakatta’s American Dream and highly respected Electronic Love EP on their own Lapsus Music. Their first major project of 2013 also comes from the Defected stable as they mix one third of the long-running and acclaimed Miami compilation series, along with fellow Italians Flashmob and Pirupa. This will be preceded by another EP on the label entitled The World is Crazy, a two-track EP which flirts with darker, deeper sounds while retaining their trademark dancefloor grooves and hooks. At basic school he already created his first „band“. In the early 90s he sympathized with the electronic music in form of Rave, Gabber and Dancemusic So quickly emerged the instrumental music. At the age of 12, he acquired his first music producer software. He learned fast, so only two years later followed the turntables and his DJ career took its course… Bookings in big named clubs like U60311 / Frankfurt aM, Butan Club / Wuppertal, Tresor / Berlin, or at techno festivals as Nature One or Ruhr in Love , are only a few of the stations on his DJ-career. From the years 2000-2006 he operated a notorious party series “the castle-freaks“ as original member, presenter and resident – DJ. He brought the first world elite DJ..s to the little scene in Westerwald, Germany and celebrated relevant achievements. In September 2008 his first international Records was released and landed straightaway in the top 5 of many relevant clubmusic-store charts. Through this release „House Legend" George Morel gets attention to him, who loved his stuff and signs him to his well known label "Groove on" and gave Sebastian a chance to Remix Morels club classicer "lets groove" 2009, Sebastian started his own Label: ReWashed LDT. Since that time it goes on and on with his productions and the label. Followed releases going out on big named labels like: Italo Business, Naked Lunch, Elektrax, Construct Rhythm, TK-Rec, Reloading, and many many more. Mabaan Soul are one of Metroline Limited favourite artists. Fresh from releasing two stuning ep's on the label in 2010 the Italian based duo have just delivered this great mix for us. The Mabaan Soul project started during a Christmas Party in 2007 when friends Fabio Cicchetti and Lorenzo Avallone decided to run an infamous back to back after hour party in Viareggio, Tuscany. Fabio,24 years, is a sound engineering student in Milan and provides the technical know how to the team. Lorenzo, 23 years, is a dj and provides the tripping creative composition of the productions . Combine these two talents together and they flow with an unique electronic heart. Mabaan Soul are inspired by the legendary DJ Sneak and the fresh approach of Nick Curly. The sound of the Mabaan Soul studio productions is a blend of nu and deep house with a sprinkling of Detroit techno and latin vibes brought together by using Logic, Ableton and Reason. A typical Mabaan Soul DJ set centers around smiley happy people with a touch of broody techno. The team are regular guests at Kama Kama, Camaiore, Tuscany. Their first release in 2009 on Metroline Limited Digital was the New Orleans EP which featured cuts that were supported by Sneak, Italoboyz, Dorian Paic, Christiano,Julietta,Michel De Hey,Brother's Vibe,Laurent Garnier,Butch,Uner,Gel Abril,Coyu, Masomenos and many more. The beginning of 2010 will see a further EPS being released on Satoshi Tomiie's SAW Recordings and Metroline Limited.
