This week on The Trawl, Marina and Jemma wade through a week so grim it makes the John Lewis Christmas ad look like a cry for help. From Rachel Reeves' gloomy pre-budget spin to Nigel Farage's bright idea that young people should earn less (apparently poverty builds character), the Trawl ladies cover it all. There's a reality check on the cost of living, a brutal look at the online reaction to the LNER train stabbings, and a dose of festive existentialism courtesy of Waitrose and a raver dad. It's politics, propaganda and pudding bowls of hypocrisy — all served with the usual mix of outrage, wit, and a few well-aimed “go f*** yourselfs”.Thank you for sharing and do tweet us @MarinaPurkiss @jemmaforte @TheTrawlPodcast Patreonhttps://patreon.com/TheTrawlPodcast Youtubehttps://www.youtube.com/@TheTrawl Twitterhttps://twitter.com/TheTrawlPodcastIf you've even mildly enjoyed The Trawl, you'll love the unfiltered, no-holds-barred extras from Jemma & Marina over on Patreon, including:• Exclusive episodes of The Trawl Goss – where Jemma and Marina spill backstage gossip, dive into their personal lives, and often forget the mic is on• Early access to The Trawl Meets…• Glorious ad-free episodesPlus, there's a bell-free community of over 3,300 legends sparking brilliant chat. And it's your way to support the pod which the ladies pour their hearts, souls (and occasional anxiety) into. We all know that hardcore will never die – but do we really know what hardcore is? As a music journalist for 15 years and raver for much longer, Holly Dicker is no stranger to documenting dance music's heaviest, gnarliest and speediest niches – but in Dance or Die: A History of Hardcore, she attempts to finally answer that big question. From the pioneering hardware assault developed in Frankfurt and Berlin, to London's grubbiest squat raves, Dutch intercity gabber rivalries and Scotland's ‘tartan techno' explosion, Dance or Die is a historical map of hardcore in its many forms.Holly dials in from – where else? – Rotterdam to talk us through the crucial rave tales collected in her book, as well as revealing her personal history with hardcore and offering her thoughts on where the scene went wrong post-Covid.Feeling like a hardcore Taganista?

Bin beim Festplatte entrümpeln auf was tolles gestoßen. Sollte in etwa 15 Jahre her sein.. Die Titel-Auswahl jedenfalls....hat vortrefflich funktioniert..:) 00:00:00 Taucher - Waters(Phase 3) 00:06:24 NBG - Groovebird 00:09:57 DJ Quicksilver - Belissima 00:13:47 Niels Van Gogh - Pulverturm (Tomcraft Remix) 00:17:07 Faithless - Music matters (Axwell Remix) 00:20:39 Van Bellen - Let me take you 00:24:12 Lustral - Everytime (Nalin & Kane Remix) 00:27:55 Kay Cee - Love Stimulation 00:32:05 Deep Forest - Sweet Lullaby 00:37:31 Dario G. - Sunchyme 00:44:10 Pale X - Shiver 00:50:20 Madagascasr. - You're Beautiful 00:54:22 The Gate - Iron Eden (Terra Ferma Remix) 01:00:28 Central Seven - Missing 01:05:56 Aquaplex - Brightness (Junk Project Remix) 01:11:08 Dumonde - Tomorrow (Jam X & De Leon Remix) 01:19:11 Ratty - Sunrise 01:25:36 Pulp Victim - The World (Olav Vasofski Remix) 01:30:52 Jupiter Prime - Gate To Heaven 01:37:25 Pascal Device - Azure (Jane T. How can we create holiday outreach programs that truly lift up our students, without compromising their dignity? Join me, Steph Johnson, and let's discuss the heart of compassionate holiday outreach. We'll explore practical, ethical strategies that make a real impact, especially for students facing economic challenges or homelessness. Together, we'll look at what works (and what doesn't) with programs like coat drives and gift trees, and how we can avoid the common pitfalls that sometimes reinforce the very barriers we're trying to break. It takes more than just good intentions to plan a successful holiday outreach program: it takes foresight, collaboration, and a solid game plan. We'll walk through the essential steps for organizing an initiative that hits home, from early planning and community buy-in to volunteer coordination and mindful promotion. With a little strategic thinking and support from resources like the School for School Counselors Mastermind Initiatives, even the smallest contributions can make a huge difference. Let's make this holiday season not just a warm memory for our students, but a meaningful experience for the whole school community.GET THE FREE OUTREACH PLANNING GUIDE HEREStart planning now to ensure a rewarding holiday outreach effort.00:00 Introduction: Are Your Holiday Outreach Efforts Effective?03:18 Empowering vs. Reinforcing Challenges04:24 Special Populations and Holiday Stress07:51 Coordinating Outreach Efforts09:41 Aligning Outreach with Ethical Guidelines10:49 Inclusive Giving: Everyone Can Contribute13:12 Creating a Successful Holiday Outreach Program21:14 Sharing Success and Impact*******References/Resources:American School Counselor Association (2016).
