Jesse Starcher, Robert Cooper, Mik Wanamaker and Mark Radulich present their Body Count Merciless 2024 Album Review as part of the MHOD Jukebox!Body Count is an American heavy metal band formed in Los Angeles in 1990. The group is fronted by Ice-T, who first established himself as a rapper but co-founded the group with lead guitarist Ernie C out of their interest in heavy metal music. Ice-T took on the role of vocalist and writing the lyrics for most of Body Count's songs, while Ernie C has been responsible for writing the group's music.Body Count's self-titled debut album was released on Sire Records in 1992, and garnered much attention due to a controversy around the song "Cop Killer". Their label, Sire Records, and their parent company, Warner Bros. Records, defended the song; however Ice-T chose to remove it from the album because he felt that the controversy had eclipsed the music itself. The group left Sire the following year, and they have since released seven more albums.Three out of the band's original seven members are deceased: D-Roc died from lymphoma, Beatmaster V from leukemia, and Mooseman in a drive-by shooting. Body Count's current lineup includes vocalist Ice-T, guitarists Ernie C and Juan Garcia, bassist Vincent Price, drummer Will "Ill Will" Dorsey Jr., and backing vocalists Sean E Sean and Little Ice (Ice-T's son). The band received its second Grammy nomination and later won the award at the 63rd Annual Grammy Awards in 2021 for Best Metal Performance with their song "Bum Rush" from the album Carnivore.Merciless is the eighth studio album by American heavy metal band Body Count. It was released on November 22, 2024, via Century Media Records. Production was handled by Ice-T, Vincent Price and Will Putney. It features guest appearances from Corpsegrinder, Howard Jones, Joe Bad, and Max Cavalera.Disclaimer: The following may contain offensive language, adult humor, and/or content that some viewers may find offensive – The views and opinions expressed by any one speaker does not explicitly or necessarily reflect or represent those of Mark Radulich or W2M Network.Mark Radulich and his wacky podcast on all the things:https://linktr.ee/markkind76alsohttps://www.teepublic.com/user/radulich-in-broadcasting-networkFB Messenger: Mark Radulich LCSWTiktok: @markradulichtwitter: @MarkRadulichInstagram: markkind76RIBN Album Playlist: https://suno.com/playlist/91d704c9-d1ea-45a0-9ffe-5069497bad59
Mooseman Drew is a controversial newcomer to the Maine moose shed hunting scene. He has gained a good following on social media with many supporters, but he has also made a lot of enemies along the way. Many lifelong Mainers reached out to me asking me to not give Drew a platform on the podcast, with allegations of how he has screwed them over in one way or another, crossed ethical boundaries, and used his social media platforms to engage in unnecessary drama. I am someone who likes to hear people out, and who believes in educating new hunters in the ways of our ancient hunting traditions and I believed having him on would be a great teaching moment for him and others who are just now finding the great joys and rewards that come with being in wild places. Some people allege that he is engaging in spot stealing, he is untrustworthy, and he is letting his obsession with finding antlers overcome his ethics, burning bridges with people who once trusted him and mentored him. Plenty of others don't see it that way, and feel that he has every right to shed hunt the public or publicly accessible (private lands open to anyone) even if someone else brought him there first. It is my hope that this discussion has helped Mooseman Drew understand the ethical boundaries and unwritten rules between hunters and that he will think about ways to feed his obsession without burning bridges and crossing ethical lines. What do you think? Leave a comment below! SEE YOU AT HUNTSTOCK THIS YEAR - AUGUST 9TH, 10TH, 11TH - WESTMINSTER, MA. Ben Apatoff's latest book Body Count's Body Count - part of Bloomsbury Academic's 33 1/3 series - is an exploration and look back at the 1992 self-titled debut album from Ice T's heavy metal band Body Count. On Ice-T's 1991 classic O.G. Original Gangster, he introduced his all-Black hardcore band Body Count with lead guitarist Ernie C, bringing them on the first-ever Lollapalooza tour that summer. The next year, Body Count's self-titled debut album, rounded out by rhythm guitarist D-Roc the Executioner, bassist Mooseman, and drummer Beatmaster V, made them the most incendiary band in the world, confronting white supremacy and police brutality with pulverizing songs that shattered musical boundaries. The album sparked nationwide protests and boycotts, including death threats, censure from the federal government, a spot on the FBI National Threat list, and a denunciation by the President of the United States. It was removed from stores and remains banned to this day, but decades later Body Count are performing to their biggest audiences and greatest acclaim. It's one of the most remarkable comebacks in punk or metal history and we have author Ben Apatoff here to tell us all about it.Purchase a copy of Body Count's Body Count (33 1/3) through Bloomsbury Academic HEREListen to Body Count's self-titled debut HERE Visit the Booked On Rock Website HERE Watch exclusive video segments from the Booked On Rock podcast HERE Follow The Booked On Rock with Eric Senich:FACEBOOKTWITTERINSTAGRAMTIKTOK Support Your Local Bookstore! We are back after a two week break with a FANTASTIC episode. One of our funniest yet. We are in the new studio! The vibes in the new stu are so good and it really comes to light in this episode. Also, we have a screenman now: Mooseman the Screenman is now part of the pod! This week we talk about Manti Te'o's "girlfriend", Hillary Duff, menstruated wings, doing it with an ex-sex, earth's average size, and so much more! VIBES! We had some technical difficulties with the angles in the new studio but next week it should be remedied. This week there is only one angle and it's the least flattering one..
When Rick Libbey saw his first moose in 1981, he was hooked for life. An entirely self-taught photographer, Rick and his wife Libby travel between New England and Alaska to capture stunningly beautiful and rare photos and videos of loons, bear, lynx, raccoons, wolves - and of course, moose – all of which they showcase on their YouTube channel and website, MooseMan Nature Photos. Often rising at 3am, they launch their kayaks before sunrise and wait silently for that perfect moment when a mighty bull moose emerges into a marsh, or a pair of loons appears in the morning fog. Taking great care never to intrude, they have spent years gaining the trust of some of these animals, frequently naming and photographing the same individuals year after year. The end result is not only spectacular, but conveys a profound sense of respect for wildlife, and the majesty and wonder of the great outdoors.
