Night Shyamalan's Glass (2019), the trilogy-concluding sequel to Unbreakable (2000) and Split (2016). The film unites Bruce Willis, Samuel L. Will Jackson's titular Elijah Price, aka Mister Glass, be able to outthink the shrink and cast his fellow patients as superheroes (or supervillains) in full view of the public? Anyway, on today's episode the Beta Boy's preview two of their most anticipated releases of 2019: The Punisher Season 2 and M. Night Shyamalan's GLASS! There are a lot of things on the line for these two releases, like is M. Night Shyamalan's resurgence for real or is he destined to fall back into mediocrity? And, is The Punisher the next Marvel Netflix show in the cancellation cross-hairs no matter how great it is? We answer all of these questions and give our thoughts regarding the poor reviews and terrible Rotten Tomatoes score GLASS has right now…35%!!! YIKES. So, the movie that made it to number one on my list of most highly-anticipated movies of 2019 - M. Night Shyamalan's Glass, in theaters January 18 - is taking a critical pounding. Whoops. Still, I'm withholding judgement until I see it myself, although I have noticed some problems and inconsistencies throughout Shyamalan's career which seem worth discussing here. Also, was Kevin Wendell Crumb's creepiest personality, other than the Beast, named for a character from It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia? I'd suggest you watch the season 5 episode "Mac and Charlie Write a Movie," then watch Split and take note of which of Crumb's personas goes about abducting teenage girls with a disturbingly thorough methodology.
