Spod Lithium Corp CEO Chris Cooper joined Steve Darling from Proactive to provide an update on the Phase I exploration program at the North Nipigon / Niemi Lithium project in Ontario. The program's primary focus was to target spodumene-bearing pegmatite bodies within the extensive land package situated in the prolific Georgia Lake Pegmatite Field. The program encompassed the Niemi Block, North Nipigon Block A, and North Nipigon Block C. Cooper revealed that the company achieved positive results during the exploration program. Notably, a sample from the Niemi Block returned a lithium oxide (Li2O) content of 1.507%, indicating the presence of mineralization. The company is actively expanding its understanding of the mineralized area within the Niemi Block. Additionally, a new lithium-bearing boulder was discovered on the north shore of Parole Lake, with a Li2O content of approximately 0.538%. Detailed mapping and sampling of the Parole Lake area will be prioritized to determine the source of these spodumene-bearing boulders. To date, a total of 107 surface grab samples have been collected and submitted to the laboratory for analysis. Cooper also emphasized the significance of monitoring the wildfire situation in the James Bay region of Quebec. Spod Lithium Corp prioritizes the safety and well-being of its personnel and will initiate surface exploration field activities at the Megali and Lithium Grande 4 projects once the situation improves and it is deemed safe to proceed. Spod Lithium Corp remains committed to advancing its exploration efforts, particularly in identifying lithium-rich pegmatite deposits within the North Nipigon / Niemi Lithium project. The company's focus on safety and thorough exploration techniques demonstrates its commitment to responsible and sustainable resource development. #proactiveinvestors #spodlithiumcorp #cse #spod #otcqb #spodf #mining #lithium #LithiumExploration #CleanEnergyRevolution #ElectricVehicles #LithiumMarket #SustainableMining #RenewableResources #FutureOfEnergy #Innovation #LithiumDeposits #BatteryTechnology #GreenTech #MiningIndustry #LithiumSupply #EnergyTransition #Investing #EnvironmentalImpact #ResourceExploration #ElectricRevolution #RenewableEnergy #EcoFriendly #LithiumDemand #ExplorationUpdates #IndustryInsights #EnergyStorage #ClimateAction #invest #investing #investment #investor #stockmarket #stocks #stock #stockmarketnews
Hi friends, Thanks for tuning in today! On this episode, I sit down with someone all of us ice climbers in Northern Ontario owe a big thank you to – Author of Superior Ice, Eric Landmann. Eric started making trips to the region in the late 80's, and went on to become a central piece of the ice climbing scene around here – meticulously cataloging first ascents and pictures in the 90s and early 2000s and putting together the books that we now prize as THE resource for ice climbers in this neck of the woods. I was quite excited that Eric agreed to be on the show – and especially just in time to put this episode out ahead of the Nipigon Ice Fest! I hope some off you have the chance to listen too this episode on the way to Nipigon. Also – I have an exciting piece of news to share for those who like to climb on tools, and especially those who like to do so even when there is no ice – there is a drytool comp coming up in Southern Ontario this spring! The comp is scheduled for June 3rd at Of Rock and Chalk in Newmarket – check out @drytoolnight on Instagram to stay up to date on details about the comp as they are released. And with that, here's my conversation with Guidebook Author and Ice Climber, Eric Landmann.

The So Fly Crew sits with Gord Ellis, Senior Editor from Ontario out of Doors. They discuss the many fishing opportunities in and around the Thunder Bay region, including the giant brook trout of the Nipigon system and Lake Superior. Gord talks about his guiding seasons, how catch and release helped bring back the fishery on the Nipigon, and more. http://nipigonriveradventures.com/fish-with-gord-ellis/
While reviewing the events around the catastrophic drainings of Glacial Lake Agassiz, the ongoing question arises: What was the impulse of energy that initiated the domino procession of megafloods? We continue to marvel at the oversized mid-continent spillways in the Dakotas, Minnesota, and Wisconsin – investigating multiple sites with the “advanced viewer” on the USGS National Map website, with particular focus on the underfit rivers, the massive potholes along the St. Croix (that we explored with Graham Hancock in 2014), and the discharges thru Lakes Nipigon and Superior. RC then broadens the connotations of “lake” to include more temporary impoundments of meltwater, which leads to a critical assessment of the current model of Lake Missoula and its Ice Dam. And in preparation for next episode’s special guest, Jerome Lesemann, we get an introduction to Canada’s extensive drumlin fields… CBD RECOMMENDED - Listen to Randall’s experience with “CBD from the gods” after the mid-break at 54:26. RC and crew look at Lac Saint-Jean as a potential impact site, with comparisons to Lake Nipigon. Several other Patreon contributors' questions and comments are addressed, but Randall dives deep on one in particular that sees the difficulty in sourcing the heat/energy required to shift out of an Ice Age. Quoting extensively from published mid-70's papers, he confirms that this "Energy Paradox" has not yet been definitively explained. A spellbinding and beautiful novel from the author of THE HOUSE BETWEEN TIDES, winner of the Waterstones Scottish Book of the Year. Scotland,1893. Nineteen-year-old Evelyn Ballantyre, the daughter of a wealthy landowner, has rarely strayed from her family's estate in the Scottish Borders. She was once close to her philanthropist father, but his silence over what really happened on the day a poacher was shot on estate land has come between them. An invitation to accompany her father to Canada is a chance for Evelyn to escape her limited existence. But once there, on the wild and turbulent Nipigon river, she is shocked to discover that their guide is James Douglas, Ballantyre's former stable hand, and once her friend. He disappeared the night of the murder, charged with the shooting. Evelyn never believed that James was guilty - and her father's role in the killing has always been mysterious. What does he have to hide? In the wild landscape of a new world, far from the constraints of polite society, the secrets and lies surrounding that night are finally stripped away, with dramatic consequences.
Nipigon's Ray Dupuis has been an angler for most of his 86 years, and is widely known for his conservation efforts that are in part responsible for the amazing brook trout fishery on Superior's north shore and the Nipigon River and Lake. His dedication to informing and inspiring other anglers to champion conservation efforts is legendary, and his political advocacy and citizen science are responsible for a number of epic conservation initiatives. Still fishing every chance he can, Ray and 17 of his family members traveled to Minneapolis on the weekend to witness Ray's being inducted into the Freshwater Fishing Hall of Fame. Link below to hear Ray in conversation with Blue fish Radio host Lawrence Gunther:
