With all the attention Jenn loses her job at GLK&H, and can't find work forcing her to move out of her apartment and back in with her parents where she plans to get justice against those responsible for invading her private life. However, with the torture of living at home, she decides to go to Blonsky's retreat to seek advice, after failing to gather any meaningful information on Intelligencia and the HulkKing. Nikki is more successful, after using an embarrassing college video, given to her by Jenn's mother, on the intelligentsia forums she receives an invite from the HulkKing to join a private gathering. She asks Pug along to infiltrate the event, which also takes place at Blonsky's retreat, and learns that Todd Phelps is the HulkKing. Jenn arrives at the retreat and stumbles upon the gathering. Blonsky is also present in his Abomination form, acting as a motivational speaker, though oblivious to Intelligencia's true goals. Walters confronts Todd, who injects himself with a substance containing her blood, turning himself into a Hulk. A fight ensues, as Titania and Banner also smash in unexpectedly. Confused by what is happening in the scene, Walters smashes the fourth wall and confronts the writers of the show. After not getting anything from the writer she heads for answers from Kevin Feige. Forcing her way in she meets K.E.V.I.N. (Knowledge, Enhanced, Visual, Interconnectivity, Nexus), an artificial intelligence claiming to be in charge of all Marvel Cinematic Universe storyline decisions. Jenn persuades K.E.V.I.N. to rewrite the climax of the episode so that she can get her ending, she isn't saved by Hulk, Emil is held accountable and Todd gets his day in court to answer for his crimes. K.E.V.I.N reluctantly agrees. Upon returning to the show, Jenn finds that Todd and Emil are arrested. She returns home to celebrate with her family and Matt Murdock, when cousin Bruce returns from Sakaar with his son Skaar. Some time later, having regained her job, She-Hulk attends her court case against Todd, and vows to continue her work as both a lawyer and a superhero. In a mid-credit scene, Sorcerer Supreme Wong breaks Emil Blonsky out of prison and takes him to Kamar-Taj. As he makes his escape his suit catches fire and he almost burns to death. So LeapFrog aka Eugene Patilio calls in She-Hulk attorney at law to sue Luke Jacobson who made the suit. Luke is highly offended and calls in his own heavy hitter an exceptional New York lawyer named Matt Murdock. The perceptive lawyer detects the smell of jet fuel from LeapFrog's boots that he used as the propellant, going against the manufacturers instructions. Jen loses the case AND her suit maker as Luke cuts her off forever. The two lawyers connect over a drink after court. There's definitely a spark and Matt shares his “one for us, one for them philosophy with Jen”. But the other side of Matt's double life comes crashing in as his client Luke has been kidnapped and he runs off to help. Meanwhile, Jen too is called away to deal with a client and former date Todd, but instead of a case she has to reject the advances of Todd again. Luckily she is called away as LeapFrog calls on help from She-Hulk. When she arrives fully suited she goes toe to toe with Daredevil and learns that this is Matt Murdoch's night gig and LeapFrog is the one who has kidnapped Luke. They team up and take out the would-be villain and in the process gets the services of her tailor back and spends the night together with Matt back in Jenn's before Daredevil, doing the walk of shame, returns to protect the streets of Hell's Kitchen in New York. But it's not over yet! Jennifer goes to the fancy legal gala where she is up for an award. As she is on stage receiving her gong, Inteligencia unleash their plan to show the world the true aggressive nature of She-Hulk. As they share everything they hacked from Jennifer's phone she's finally had enough and loses control. After sending him a morning text, no reply comes and Jen becomes increasingly worried and glued to her phone. Still anticipating a text from him - has he died, is he in a ditch, does he have a dental appointment, wedding, funeral - she receives a call from Emil Blonsky's parole officer. He informs her that the inhibitor that stops Blonsky from turning into Abomination is broken and that she has to go to his meditation retreat to check on him. Arriving at the retreat, Emil Blonsky welcomes her and they fix his malfunctioning inhibitor, but as she is leaving two clients, Man-Bull and El Águila, who are working out resentments accidentally destroy her car, forcing her to stay at the retreat until it can be towed away. The retreat lacks wifi and mobile coverage, which makes Jen fret even further as she continues to nervously await a response from Josh. But when she finds the one bar of mobile coverage, it is in the group therapy lodge and she becomes embroiled in a group therapy session with Blonsky, Man-Bull, El Águila, Porcupine, Saracen and surprisingly her former mugger Wrecker, of the Wrecking Crew. After Jen is placed in the calming chair to stop her from hulking out at Wrecker, she opens up to the group where she is given the possibility that Josh has ghosted her and is convinced to delete his contact information and let go of her feelings towards him. As Walters leaves the retreat, a flashback shows that after she and Josh slept together, he secretly cloned her phone and stole a sample of her blood for the "HulkKing". At the wedding Jenn has been banned from transforming into She-Hulk but after being treated like a servant by the bride and challenged to a fight by Titania she can't resist. He sends his volunteer, named Madisynn, to a hell dimension to huge applause from his audience. Madisynn makes a deal with a demon, to escape the hell dimension, and is dumped out of another portal in front of Wong, Master of the Mystic Arts. Furious Wong asks Jenn to serve a cease and desist to Donny Blaze to make an example of him. However, the court doesn't agree with the danger posed by Blaze and allows him to continue practising his “magic”. But entertainment is a fickle business and the audience are no longer impressed with Donny's ability to send audience members to hell dimensions so he accidentally brings the hell dimension to them. Wong and She-Hulk team up to save the audience in exchange for Donny's agreement that he will no longer use his sketchy control of the mystic arts. Despite all the inter-dimensional goings on, Jen manages to set up her dating profile under She-Hulk, as advised by Nikki, and sets out on a number of disastrous dates before finding a promising partner. But hot doctors are overrated and as soon as he sees her alter ego he can't wait to get out of Jennifer's house. But things go from bad to worse, as she sees the not-so-good doctor out, she is issued with court documents at her door as Titania international own the rights to the name She-Hulk and serve Jennifer with an order to cease and desist from using the name she never picked! With the assurance that Emil Blonsky will never change into The Abomination again and Wong's testimony, he is granted parole to live out his life with his seven soulmates. Meanwhile Jenn's colleague Pug has to represent her narcissistic former co-worker Dennis in a case against a shape shifting light elf. Runa the elf had impersonated Grammy award winning artist Megan Thee Stallion leading on Dennis and scamming $175 grand out of him. With the expert testimony of Jenn on how self absorbed Dennis is he wins the case and Runa the light elf is sentenced to 6 months in prison for attempting to impersonate a judge. Following the hearing Jennifer is attacked by a crew outside her home with some Asgardian construction tools. In her She-Hulk form they are easily defeated but remark that their boss won't be happy they failed to get a sample of Jenn's blood.With the case won and her attackers dispatched, Jenn has a new client, and a friend she'd kill for, as she twerks with Megan Thee Stallion in her office. When Jennifer drags Bruce from the crashed vehicle his blood drips into hers and she transforms into a large powerful green hued version of herself. Using his 15 years of experience Smart Hulk tries to help navigate his cousin through her new life and help her avoid a savage existence. But when he learns Jennifer is already fully in control of her powers he realises she's a completely different Hulk. Jennifer leaves Smart Hulk's compound and returns to LA to continue her career as an attorney and avoid Bruce's mistakes. But her closing argument is interrupted by the super powered Titania. Meanwhile, Nakia, worried about them both, turns to Kamala, who heads out to save the day wearing her new superhero suit given to her as a gift from her mother and using Kareem's red cloth. Kamala meets up with Bruno and Kamran, who feels like he is being crushed from the power inside him, but with the Department of Damage Control still hot on their heels Kamala asks Kareem and the Red Daggers for help as they plan to get him to Pakistan.Waiting for Kareem's man in New Jersey and holed up in their school, Kamala, Bruno, and Kamran must avoid capture, but are soon joined and supported by Nakia, Aamir, and Zoe. The group devises a plan to stall the Damage Control agents, who have tracked them to the school. Despite Agent Cleary ordering Deevers and her team to withdraw, she ignores the order and has the school stormed. While their fire extinguisher and softball plan slows down the agents, Damage Control manages to arrest everyone except Kamala and Kamran. As they try to escape the school Kamran asks about his mother Najma, unable to lie Kamala tells him the truth about his mother's death in Karachi. Riven with anger and cornered outside the school Kamran turns his new powers on Damage Control as they start to shoot at him and Kamala, but in doing so he also puts in danger a large crowd of bystanders from the local community who have gathered.Kamala uses her powers to protect her community and to stop Kamran from doing something he regrets when Agent Deevers looks to take him out of the picture. In a protective crystal dome Kamala persuades Kamran to accept the Red Daggers assistance and helps him to escape. After the incident, Deevers is suspended by Agent Cleary for disobeying a direct order and shooting at children, Kamala takes the name of "Ms. Marvel" after her father explains the meaning of her name in Urdu, and in Karachi Kamran meets Kareem for the first time. A week later, as Bruno is about to head off to CalTech, explains to Kamala that she is different from her family as she has a mutation in her genes. Finally, in a mid-credits scene, Kamala and Carol Danvers swap places after the bangle emits a strange glow. Partition is coming and Muslims are moving to the new state of Pakistan. Hasan offers Aisha a place to stay and eat and the couple fall in love and have a baby, Kamala's grandmother Sana. As India gets more unsafe, Aisha is confronted by her former companion Najma who has spent years searching for Aisha and wants her to finally come good on her promise and open a portal from this world back to their realm. Aisha placates her saying she needs more time to retrieve the second Bangle. In the intervening twenty four hours she convinces Hasan to go with her and their daughter to the last trains out of India to Pakistan. But Najma tracks her there and, realising that Aisha no longer wants to leave the Earth realm, Najma stabs her and leaves her for dead. With the original owner of the Bangle that enhances her powers now dead, Kamala steps in and completes their families ancient tale by guiding her grandmother back to her father with a burst of stars. With the circle complete Kamala returns to the present and must still face the remaining Clandestine. A gateway to their realm has been opened by Kamala's adventure. But it's not what they expected and it kills one of the final Clandestine when she tries to pass through. With a word about familial responsibilities from Kamala, Najma is encouraged to sacrifice herself and closes the realm gate by sending its power into her disowned son Kamran as he has the power of the Noor as well. As Najma dies, Muneeba sees her daughter's power and realises all of her mothers fantastical tales were true. Back in New Jersey, Kamran is shocked to discover he has a similar command of his powers as Kamala. He seeks out the help of the only other person who knows Kamala's secret, Brian…I mean Bruno. After an awkward start Bruno agrees to help him but they discover they are being watched as a Damage Control drone launches an explosive attack on Bruno's home. They were able to find Kamala because her use of her nani's bangle tapped into a mystical energy known as Noor or “light”. This energy comes from the Noor dimension. A dimension that Najma and her companions have been trying to get back to for a long time after they were exiled. The group is sometimes known as the Clandestine in their dimension but also go by the name djinn, and Kamala has the same power inside her. Even though the Djinn have been part of Kamala's childhood nightmares, she asks Bruno to help her activate her bangle to open the gateway for the Djinn, but after some research using Dr Selvig's papers on inter-dimensional travel he tells Kamala that the energy required makes it too dangerous. “If you help them go home, some things might go boom”. However, unwilling to wait for her to find a safe way to help them, the Djinn attack Kamala and her brother Aamir's wedding. With the help of Kamran and Bruno, Kamala distracts and defends against the Djinn long enough for them to be arrested by the Department of Damage Control. But during the battle Najma connected with the bangle and Kamala sees a train coming towards her. But she's not the only one who sees this vision. Her Nani in Pakistan also saw it and calls for Kamala and her mum to travel to her home in Karachi. After meeting Kamran, a new British-Pakistani senior at school, Kamala, Nakia, and Bruno attend a party organised by Zoe so that Kamala can get to know him. When the party is cut short by the police, Kamren gives them all a lift home and makes friends with Kamala to the annoyance of Bruno. Meanwhile Agent Deever of the department of Damage Control interrogates Zoe about the superhero who saved her at AvengerCon. At a family dinner, Kamala's father shares a familiar family story about how her grandmother got out of India during the partition from Pakistan. But Kamala blacks out and has a vision of a mysterious woman calling to her. Kamala investigates her family history and after talking to her grandmother and the illumin-aunties at the Eid celebrations she learns a bit more about the owner of her new bangle, her great-grandmother Aisha. But the party is interrupted when a young boy falls from a tower and Kamala has to use her new powers to save him. Before he's safe Kamala has another vision of the woman and almost lets him fall. The commotion attracts the attention of Agent Deever, and her team surround Kamala. As she uses her powers to evade them, Kamran arrives just in time in his car to help her escape. In the back seat his mother Najma has been waiting to meet Kamala and she's the same woman from her vision. He is followed from the Tomb by Layla. At a checkpoint on the road to Cairo, Layla looks to kill Harrow. But she is warned by Taweret, who has inhabited the body of a dead soldier, that his power is too great and she must release Khonshu so he can revive Marc Spector. At the great pyramid, Harrow uses Ammit's power to slaughter the other Egyptian gods' avatars before releasing Ammit, who chooses him to be her new avatar. At the same time Layla finds Khonshu's ushabti and releases him. In the vault Layla refuses to become Khonshu's new avatar, so he confronts Ammit alone but is overpowered. Spiritually elsewhere, Marc chooses to return from the Field of Reeds to the Duat to rescue Steven. With Taweret's help, they escape through the Gates of Osiris and awaken back in their body. Khonshu senses their return and bonds with them, healing their body and restoring their powers as Moon Knight. Layla discovers from Osiris' dying Avatar that Ammit can be defeated if Ammit can be bound into a mortal body, so she temporarily bonds with Taweret. Meanwhile, Harrow, his followers and Ammit begin to judge the souls of everyone in Cairo. But Marc, Steven, Layla and Khonshu arrive to engage them in battle. Fighting to save the people of Cairo, Moon Knight, Mr Knight, and Layla now as the Avatar of Taweret are eventually overpowered by Harrow who almost kills Marc and Steven until they both black out and reawaken to find that they didn't brutally defeat Harrow!Marc and Layla are able to seal Ammit into Harrow's body, imprisoning her again. Khonshu urges Marc to kill Harrow and Ammit, but he refuses and orders Khonshu to release him and Steven from his service. Now released, Marc and Steven find themselves in the asylum again, but reject it and choose to continue their new life together In Steven's messy apartment in London.In a post-credit scene, Harrow is also in London as a patient in a psychiatric hospital. He receives a visitor and is wheeled out to a limousine where he is met by Khonshu sitting on the back seat, who orders his new Avatar, Jake Lockley, Marc and Steven's third alter, to do what they could not…execute Arthur Harrow and Ammit, Devourer of the Dead! It is the penultimate episode as as we chat about Moon Knight Episode 5 Asylum. A highly emotional look back through Marc and Steven's history. This afterlife is a death barge on route through the Duat that resembles a psychiatric hospital. It is filled with their lifetime of memories. In order to pass over to the Field of Reeds, Marc and Steven's hearts need to balance a feather on the scales of justice. Otherwise they will be condemned to the sands of the Duat. But Taweret thinks the oscillating scales are because of the missing pieces in each of their lives that is holding them back from balance. Marc has to reveal the most painful of memories to Steven. When they were children, Marc's brother Randell drowned in an accident but his mother blamed Marc for his death. As their mother sank deeper into alcoholism she took out her pain and anger on Marc which led to him creating Steven Grant, based on the fearless adventurer from Marc and his brother's favourite movie. Without any protection from his father Marc used Steven to shield himself from the abuse until he left home and entered the army. But he was kicked out and took a mercenary job with his commanding officer Bushman. On a job in Egypt with Layla's father Bushman ordered everyone in the expedition killed. Marc was unable to save them and, injured at the foot of a statue of Khonshu, decided to take his own life. But Khonshu saw his potential and convinced Marc to give himself over and become his fist of vengeance, his Moon Knight. As Steven learns of their past and the truth of his mother he tries to absolve Marc of his anger, as he was just a child. It is the penultimate episode as as we chat about Moon Knight Episode 5 Asylum. A highly emotional look back through Marc and Steven's history. This afterlife is a death barge on route through the Duat that resembles a psychiatric hospital. It is filled with their lifetime of memories. In order to pass over to the Field of Reeds, Marc and Steven's hearts need to balance a feather on the scales of justice. Otherwise they will be condemned to the sands of the Duat. But Taweret thinks the oscillating scales are because of the missing pieces in each of their lives that is holding them back from balance. Marc has to reveal the most painful of memories to Steven. When they were children, Marc's brother Randell drowned in an accident but his mother blamed Marc for his death. As their mother sank deeper into alcoholism she took out her pain and anger on Marc which led to him creating Steven Grant, based on the fearless adventurer from Marc and his brother's favourite movie. Without any protection from his father Marc used Steven to shield himself from the abuse until he left home and entered the army. But he was kicked out and took a mercenary job with his commanding officer Bushman. On a job in Egypt with Layla's father Bushman ordered everyone in the expedition killed. Marc was unable to save them and, injured at the foot of a statue of Khonshu, decided to take his own life. But Khonshu saw his potential and convinced Marc to give himself over and become his fist of vengeance, his Moon Knight. As Steven learns of their past and the truth of his mother he tries to absolve Marc of his anger, as he was just a child. On entering the tomb they begin to realise that it is a maze in the shape of the Eye of Horus. Navigating the maze, they discover an antechamber with plenty of fresh blood. As they explore the chamber, they must hide as one of Harrow's men is killed and his organs removed to canopic jars by an undead Egyptian priest. Steven and Layla are attacked by the priest, and are separated as they run to escape it. Layla encounters Harrow, who claims that Marc Spector was one of the mercenaries who murdered her archaeologist father. Meanwhile, Steven finds the tomb and discovers that Ammit's last avatar was Alexander the Great. Dispatching three acolytes to slow down Marc's progress, they kill one of his contacts and attack Marc. The ensuing knife fight on the roofs above Cairo makes Steven Grant distinctly uncomfortable. But as both Marc and Steven fight for control of their body a series of black outs leaves two of Harrow's men dead. But neither Marc or Steven can recall how it happened. The attempt to extract intel from the remaining acolyte doesn't go well, and desperate to stop Harrow from releasing Ammit from her stone prison, Khonshu calls a meeting of the Egyptian Gods. Harrow is called to answer the accusations leveled at him, but he persuades the Gods that Khonshu, a shamed God, is using the Ennead and abusing his Avatar for his feud with Ammit. Khonshu is warned by the other Gods that any further violation of the ancient laws will see him punished. With few options left, Marc is given a new lead to find Ammit's location by Hathor's avatar Yatzil, who tells him to find Senfu's sarcophagus, and is unexpectedly joined in Egypt by Layla, exploiting an uneasy relationship with a wealthy man called Anton Mogart who grants them access, under heavy guard, to the mummified body of Senfu. Layla implores Marc to allow Steven out so that he can help find the clues in the markings on Senfu's body. But the delicate truce is broken by the arrival of Harrow who destroys the sarcophagus using the power of Ammit. As the dust of Senfu settles, Anton sets his guards on Marc and Layla, who are confronted by both Moon Knight, Mr Knight and Layla as they escape. In the desert, Steven deciphers the constellation that will help them navigate to the true resting place of Ammit but Khonshu must again turn to desperate measures. He turns back the night sky to align the constellation as it was back in ancient Egypt so that Steven and Layla can find Ammit and Arthur Harrow. But his actions once again provokes the anger of the Ancient Egyptian Gods , who imprison Khonshu in stone. Fellow Defenders, we're back chatting about Moon Knight Episode 2 "Summon The Suit" in this weeks podcast. We're going spoiler filled so make sure you've watched the episode. The footage of the events of the previous night does not have the jackal that attacked him in the frame and Steven is heavily implicated as the culprit of the vandalism at the British Museum. Sacked from his job Steven checks out the storage container using the key he found in his apartment, to try and learn more about what the hell happened to him. ; and discovers a heap of military equipment, numerous fake passports and the stolen Scarab Beetle. In the container, as he tries to process this new discovery, he is once again visited by Marc Spector in a reflection, who explains that he serves Khonshu the God of the Moon and that he and, ultimately, Steven Grant are his avatar. Freaked out he runs out of the locker to be once again pursued by Khonshu. Escaping the storage facility he collides into Marc Spector's wife, Layla, who recognises Marc but doesn't know Steven. He brings her back to his apartment where he discovers that she is divorcing Marc Spector and she doesn't buy the identity of Steven. But with a knock at the flat door she is forced to escape the flat as police arrive and arrest Steven Grant on the grounds of stealing and being the fugitive, the mercenary Marc Spector, wanted in connection for the execution of an archaeological excavation team in Egypt. After questioning, the police take Steven to Arthur Harrow at an inner city community he has rescued from decline. Arthur explains that he was once Khonshu's avatar, the fist of vengeance, but grew weary of the ancient god's justice to evil doers after the fact. He prefers a different sort of justice and that is why Harrow needs the Scarab Beetle to find his new god, Ammit, who he now serves, because she rooted out evil before it happened. Steven cares not for the type of justice meted out by Ammit and tries to escape with the Scarab, but another jackal set upon him. With Marc pleading to Steven to give him control and summon the soup…I mean suit, Steven calls forth Mr Knight, a psycho looking Colonel Sanders, and not Moon Knight, to fight the jackal. As Mr Knight has trouble dealing with the Jackal, he loses the Scarab compass, which Arthur recovers; but as the fight gets more dangerous Steven gives Marc control and Moon Knight kebabs the hound. Following the fight, the Marc Spector identity becomes dominant, refusing to let Steven's identity come back, as both Marc and Khonshu have made a deal and that deal is leading Marc Spector back to Egypt. After questioning, the police take Steven to Arthur Harrow at an inner city community he has rescued from decline. Arthur explains that he was once Khonshu's avatar, the fist of vengeance, but grew weary of the ancient god's justice to evil doers after the fact. He prefers a different sort of justice and that is why Harrow needs the Scarab Beetle to find his new god, Ammit, who he now serves, because she rooted out evil before it happened. Steven cares not for the type of justice meted out by Ammit and tries to escape with the Scarab, but another jackal set upon him. With Marc pleading to Steven to give him control and summon the soup…I mean suit, Steven calls forth Mr Knight, a psycho looking Colonel Sanders, and not Moon Knight, to fight the jackal. As Mr Knight has trouble dealing with the Jackal, he loses the Scarab compass, which Arthur recovers; but as the fight gets more dangerous Steven gives Marc control and Moon Knight kebabs the hound. Following the fight, the Marc Spector identity becomes dominant, refusing to let Steven's identity come back, as both Marc and Khonshu have made a deal and that deal is leading Marc Spector back to Egypt. But things are not what they seem! Why does he wear ankle restraints to bed? A potential red flag if he were dating, but wait he has a date arranged with the attractive tour guide at work…he just doesn't know how that came about! And why, oh why does JB the security guard at the museum keep getting his name wrong? His parallel worlds are about to get out of hand for Steven when he awakes to what should be a Friday to find himself on an Alpine field in Germany, a Scarab Beetle trinket in his hand, a voice ringing out in his head stating “the idiot is in control” and armed guards firing from the Alpine Schloss. Running to the local village for safety he encounters Arthur Harrow who is weighing the lives of volunteers from the village and passing judgment in the name of Egyptian God Ammit. Artur singles out Steven, but despite the blood on his hands, a revolver in his hand, the many dead bodies, the numerous crashed cars and being at the wheel of the Buddy Cupcake van, Steven doesn't really know how he escaped the pursuing guards from that village! But with a jolt he wakes up in his bed, in his apartment and starts to get ready for work believing it was all just a dream. But things are about to get stranger as it's actually Sunday, his fish Gus now has two fins, he's missed his date and back at his flat he finds a cell phone and locker key hidden in his apartment. As he tries to comprehend what's going on, he investigates a noise in his flat, but finds nothing until his reflection in the mirror, called Marc, seems to be talking to him. He flees his apartment but he encounters a large beaked creature, the God of the moon, Khonshu, in the corridor and flees back to his flat for safety. Back at work the following week, things don't stay calm for long as he again encounters Arthur Harrow who is looking to get his Scarab Beetle back, but recognizes the chaos inside Steven Grant. That evening before finishing work an ancient Egyptian Annubis-like dog tracks Steven at the museum. As he runs for his life from the dog, he makes it to safety in the toilets. With the dog breaking down the door, Steven's reflection tells him “to give him control”. As Steven embraces Marc Spector, Moon Knight emerges and fights off their attacker! Meyerbeer prepared carefully for this opera after the sensational success of Robert le diable, recognizing the need to continue to present lavish staging, a highly dramatic storyline, impressive orchestration, and virtuoso parts for the soloists – the essential elements of the new genre of Grand Opera. Meyerbeer and his librettist for Robert le Diable, Eugène Scribe, had agreed to collaborate on an epic work concerning the French Wars of Religion, with a drama partly based on Prosper Mérimée's 1829 novel Chronique du règne de Charles IX. Coming from a wealthy family, Meyerbeer could afford to take his time, dictate his own terms, and be a perfectionist.
