ATTENTION people of MOS: our new episode is LIVE and the weekend is officially open. This week we were feeling nostalgic about that one guy who never gave us closure so we decided to do a deep dive into unsolved mysteries.Sakshi is officially back from Australia and gave us the full trip update, adding yet another feather to her shaadi-attending hat. From there we dove into the mysteries that may never be solved aka where do lost scrunchies go, how does the salon lady lather a full head with a coin-sized amount, and what do boyfriends do when they're not with you?We also got into the mystery of Roopkund Lake: skeletons, child-free ancient Indians, and a certain dancing plague (feat. Chunari Chunari). Then we unpacked the lost treasure of the Son Bhandar Caves and debated whether MOS needs to launch an official mission to find Bimbisara's gold. But honestly, the only mystery that really needs solving is why we haven't hit 100k yet. Go like, comment, share, hype, subscribe… or one of your ears might just fall off. You never know.Chaptering:00:00 – Cops aren't ready for this01:33 – India's unsolved mysteries01:47 – Cousin's wedding and sim card blocked chaos05:54 – Past life memories07:36 – Dreams pitch IG ideas08:59 – Delhi's Monkey Man12:13 – Ancient Indian History exam, just got me 14:00 – India's Skeleton Lake15:38 – Dancing plague, but add Chunari Chunari to it17:29 – Aliens, cult leaders & conspiracy19:28 – Shame vs fear22:51 – Why we pierce ears25:17 – Son Bhandar treasure mystery28:08 – Swimming into a stranger's villa 30:13 – Movie recommendation31:20 – Cursed sarees 34:18 – Are movies soft-launching aliens? 37:28 – Girl-coded mysteries38:35 – Older people and AI41:05 – Body hair 42:55 – Adaptive resilience47:27 – ZNMD is not a mystery, but the last frame48:21 – Movie & show recs49:52– How to report someone missing52:23 – We are really close to 100K subs, so subscribeFollow MoS on Instagram:https://www.instagram.com/momentofsilencepod/reels/?hl=enCredits:Naina Bhan - Co-host and certified overthinkerhttps://www.instagram.com/nainabee?ig...Sakshi Shivdasani - Co-host, balancing out Naina's overthinking with a healthy dose of not thinkinghttps://www.instagram.com/sakshishivdasani/?hl=enResearched by our very own curiosity engineer and directed by Aashna Sharma https://www.linkedin.com/in/aashna-sharma-913146179Senior Producer- Amruta P. https://www.linkedin.com/in/amruta-bandivdekar-01879925Produced by "Vertical by Handmade" - Our personal cheering squad https://www.instagram.com/verticalbyhandmade?igsh=NG1vdXd5bWdsdWI3Creative direction by Tinkre, Keeper of MoS' signature “Pookie” energy Natascha Mehrahttps://www.instagram.com/tinkre.in/?hl=enhttps://www.instagram.com/natascha.zip/?hl=en Teaser & Reel Editor - Yug Vermahttps://www.instagram.com/bass_abhiyug?igsh=MnlibHdsbG56MjNl&utm_source=qrDisclaimer: The views and opinions expressed on this podcast are for entertaining purposes only and do not necessarily reflect those of the hosts, the production team, or affiliated brand. Namaste Mossies, it's Friday again and this time it's HOT TAKES SZN 2 - go grab yourself a beverage with extra ice because the takes this time are HOT as they come. We kicked things off with Naina mounting a quick & passionate defence of her opinion from Hot Takes Pt 1 that drew some flak, with a special shoutout to the OG feminist - father Bhan. From there we got into our unreasonably unpopular opinions about the struggles of being drop dead gorgeous, the terrors of being invoice rich but cash poor, and the gaping wealth inequality between influencers and their internet overlords. The girls also wondered about the choice to be childfree, and debated if pets are better than kids (pets - 1, human child - 0, for now). Our studio audience stepped up with some certifiable controversial opinions - that men are the true masters of spreading gossip, and that apparently pigeons deserve justice.Meanwhile, our listeners were quite UNHINGED with the takes they sent in (NGL we were concerned). We're talking girl code on snitching about cheating friends, and a take on whether gay incest might be... okay?? Hope there's a mop nearby because your jaw will be on the floor. Finally: did you know that every time you like comment share follow hype & most importantly SUBSCRIBE to our channel, the gates of heaven open a lil further for you? TRIGGER WARNING: This episode has mentions of self-harm, violence, and assault. Viewer discretion is advised.-----Hellloooo MOSSIES, another MOS day has come around and after much coaxing, pleading, and only a little bit of bribing, we have a very special much-requested guest gracing us with her presence in the studio! The most gorgeous MISS KAREEMA BARRY has returned and this time we actually gave her a chance to speak, we promise.Kareema got us reminiscing about the days of yore (early 20s, college, and singlehood) but the nostalgia soon turned into horror as we heard some of her tales of young online courtship. Our listeners too SHOWED UP when it came to relationship horror stories and we did a deep dive into our audience's experiences with Italian serial killers, middle-of-the-road abandoners and men that give a whole new meaning to being a cokehead. There was a short review of Netflix's new “Should I marry a murderer?” (spoiler: don't) and we then debated some of the most pressing questions of our times like - are the dating prospects better in delhi or mumbai or kolkata or bangalore? Are car fights actually the best kind of fights? Would you call your mom if your hookup tried to kill you? Who let the dogs out? Watch the episode to find out!PS - There is a mention of a certain ‘silk man' towards the end of the pod, which was related to a story we had to edit out of the final cut (sorry for the confusion but this is one secret we can never tell). And finally, we are once again asking you to get us to 100k by liking sharing commenting subscribing hyping. Hiii mossies - Friday has returned and so have we!This week's episode opens with Naina seriously contemplating hypnotherapy to reclaim her lost memories - which Sakshi counters with some scientifically proven advice from an Instagram statics. We then got into a conversation about how the suits have been drooling over our beloved audience (yes, YOU!!) which then got us to the topic of the week - propaganda we all fell for. The lies we were sold. The lies we were told. The lies we rolled with even when it was written in comic sans bold. From the great Kurkure conspiracy of our childhoods to carrots concealing spy tech, to the unhinged propaganda new mothers have to navigate on a daily basis - this week had us questioning everything. Is the whole world a lie? Was Naina almost the Rasna girl? Will people finally stop littering outside Sakshi's house? All this and more in this week's episode of Moment of Silence!Go watch like, share, comment, hype, and spread the propaganda that anyone who doesn't help us hit 100k will have their nose hair grow five feet long. The Naina Redhu Experience | Digital Marketing, Social Media, Online Brand Building in India
Aishwarya Mishra spent 12 years as a software test engineer before she enrolled at TAFE Adelaide and switched to interior design. She now runs Aishmi Design in Adelaide. She was born in Odisha, grew up in Hyderabad, and comes from a creative family - trained Odissi dancer, fashion designer uncle, mother in media. The software career happened because in Hyderabad, you're handed a short list of options. She picked software, worked it for 12 years, reached management, and decided she wanted something creative. She enrolled at TAFE Adelaide, got her diploma, and credits the practical training there with making her want to fight harder for her place in the industry. She now works alongside her mentor Tanya Nikolic on residential projects end to end - floor plans, 3D renders, site visits, client and trades communication. Her design philosophy is built around color. She's Indian, not scared of pattern or bold palettes, and says most of her client work involves showing people - through renders and patience - that color in a home is a feature, not a risk. She calls the current state of Australian interiors a "beige pandemic." Her counter: you spend 60 to 70 percent of your time at home. It should make you feel something. Her TAFE final project was designing a home for a client with a degenerative disease - eyesight deteriorating over time, wheelchair use ahead. She added color and high-contrast surfaces and made it feel like his home. National award finalist.Skills she carried from software: fast tool adoption, time management, client and trades navigation. She says software engineering has a role in everything she does in interior design now.Seven years in Adelaide - two in Sydney before that. She says the small market is an advantage for someone building a name. What does it take to keep going when everything around you — the sport, the culture, the system — says this isn't your place? At the age of 13, Naina Adhikari made her way to the Ganga River, 300 km from her home village to start learning how to whitewater kayak. She couldn't swim, and was the only girl on the river with no female mentors to turn to. Although she faced many obstacles, she persisted. Naina has since represented India at the World Championships and Olympic qualifiers, won the Ganga Kayak Festival twice, and founded Ganga Girls and the Pravahini Foundation, projects that train Indian female kayakers, and that bring survivors of human trafficking to the river, and to paddling, to experience freedom, strength, and community. This is a conversation for anyone who has ever had to find their footing in a world that wasn't built for them. In this episode: The real off-river challenges of being the only woman in a male-dominated sport inside a traditional culture What Naina had to navigate alone, and why she stayed anyway The story behind Ganga Girls and Project Shakti What big volume water on the Ganga teaches about presence and showing up every day Naina's legacy word is "revolutionary." After listening, you'll understand why.
Hellooo Mossies - we now pronounce you Friday & weekend because another Moment of Silence is officially LIVE. As if this BOILING HOT WEATHER straight from the pits of hell wasn't enough, we're here to scald you with some BURNING HOT TAKES straight from the minds and mouths of Sakshi & Naina. That's right, this week we're diving deep into some good-ol'-hopefully-won't-set-an-internet-mob-after-us-but-probably-will above average temperature hot takes! We begin with a debate on what makes a take HOT? Is it the waistline or style of delivery? A short discussion on the ultra lameness of lame instagram takes, and then - are wedding videos actually war crimes on wedding guests? Is politeness the ultimate get-out-of-jail-free card? Do voice notes deserve a lifetime ban? Is Arjun Kapoor a good actor actually? Hi Mossies, if your gut is telling you it's Friday, YOU'RE CORRECT. We're back with a brand new episode on gut feelings & the power of your instinct. This week Naina and Sakshi talk about battling the trenches of Bandra to get to their favourite cafes, the horrors of being abandoned by your gym trainer, and the beautiful joys of getting a second Longchamp. We then asked - how do you differentiate between a gut feeling and plain old anxiety? Should you listen to your gut EVERY SINGLE TIME? Or are there times when your gut is being a loser and just playing games to mess with you? Watch the episode to find out.(Somewhere along the way, we also arrived at the unnecessary hate against the word ‘aunty' and sought justice for kitty parties. Plus, Sakshi gave tips on how to sus out a kidnapper on a first date and the girls reflected on their gut feelings about starting MOS.)Finally we have a gut feeling that we're sooooo close to 100k subs but you gotta help us get there by going and hitting like, share, comment, hype, subscribe, follow, and casually dropping MOS into every single conversation you have this week. Helloooo Mossies & Mosquitoes! Welcome to another episode of Moment of Silence where we sat down with the one, the only, the absolutely wonderful Ella D'Verma. We started with having to pick up our jaws from the floor as we took in an ungodly level of beauty and intelligence - Ella walked us through the chaos of living her entire life on the internet, transitioning during the lockdown, and - most importantly - how to absolutely rake in that sweet Valentine's Day brand deal money. She got real about the psychological warfare of accepting a good guy after a string of failed situationships (since her boyfriend is apparently single-handedly increasing the green cover in the dating world) and alllllmost made us accept that maaaaaybe it's not all men. We can only pray the boys are taking notes. We also spoke of supportive families, mothers giving much-needed reality checks, and losing friends when life takes you places you didn't know you could go. Ella pulled back the curtain on the pageant world, and Sakshi & Naina became students as she delivered a masterclass in giving those pitch perfect Miss World answers. If you haven't subscribed yet, what are you doing with your life? Hi Mossies & Mosquitoes, we're BACK and better than ever - it's been a while, hasn't it? Welcome to another episode of Moment of Silence. Sorry for the short interruption in services, we missed you! But but Fridays have meaning again because we've officially said bye to our burnouts and have humbly returned to bringing you episodes every week. This week begins with Sakshi and Naina catching you up on all that went down during their very short sabbatical. From watching trash float up the coastline off Carter Road to praying for the light to return to our eyes, the girls had quite the month. Our resident professional shaadi attender Sakshi has beef with destination weddings, while Naina's therapy acquired nazar and her therapist may have left her. We talked about stress and the state of the world and made bunker plans for if/when the next catastrophe hits. Finally, we tried to come up with a name for MOS nation's IPL team. Comment what you think it should be. Safe to say - the gang's back at it! If you still haven't subscribed, really, come on, have some shame. This week's episode begins with a moment of celebration because Sakshi had a birthday! Wooo! The girls went to a cricket match with the noble intention of rage-baiting men but things took an unexpected turn and Naina ended up becoming the national crush (which to be fair enraged a lot of men, so mission accomplished). From there we spiralled into a very real conversation about men stealing women's work, taking credit for their ideas, and the mysterious ability some guys have to dim a girl's shine the moment she starts doing a little toooo well for their liking. We asked the important question: how do you go to bed at night after stealing someone else's work?? Our heartfelt condolences to the girl who had her cancer research stolen and an even bigger sorry to the girl who had her instagram bio stolen. This led us to the ultimate dilemma: your man vs your career. We debated ambition, insecurity, supportive partners, unsupportive partners, and why women are so often expected to shrink themselves to make other people comfortable. Somewhere in the middle of all this, we reminded you (and us) that you just gotta do what you want, no matter what people say - because once you make it, they WILL come around. P.S: Sakshi has a new iPad but we still don't have 100k subscribers. It's very un-feminist of you to not hit subscribe so go do it now, along with liking commenting hyping following and adding our names to your final will and testament.Chaptering:00:00 – Intro, do you really need this01:33 – Naina went viral on X, became the national crush, and announced her pregnancy02:29 – What really went down in Chennai05:25 – All the planning & plotting behind Sakshi's birthday12:00 – The many times we overextended ourselves12:34 – Women's careers and men… with credit-stealing stories15:37 – The essay that had Sakshi fuming21:22 – Cancelling a meeting for a partner26:00 – Men vs women's résumés31:36 – A hack for all the men33:12 – Why we said we still needed a man in our life37:00 – OTPs becoming the next power play49:40 – Sharing the household load53:00 – The letters wrote in teens01:02:44 – Supportive parents01:04:29 – Therapy sessions, but the results 01:06:09 – Sakshi's jokes and her BF 01:08:37 – Defining what “normal” meant01:09:43 – Like, Share, Comment & SubscribeBrutally Honest Creators - https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLHkcqImp8gcbZHzn1secwSYYKG8dds437&si=wYCafRcBIKDy0BDCComedians Unfiltered- https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLHkcqImp8gcabWOmtiYQUUXGU4ptrq9HB&si=sWm2ep8LZr8GU_7cFollow MoS on Instagram:https://www.instagram.com/momentofsilencepod/reels/?hl=enCredits:Naina Bhan - Co-host and certified overthinkerhttps://www.instagram.com/nainabee?ig...Sakshi Shivdasani - Co-host, balancing out Naina's overthinking with a healthy dose of not thinkinghttps://www.instagram.com/sakshishivdasani/?hl=enSenior Producer- Amruta P. https://www.linkedin.com/in/amruta-bandivdekar-01879925Produced by "Vertical by Handmade" - Our personal cheering squad https://www.instagram.com/verticalbyhandmade?igsh=NG1vdXd5bWdsdWI3Creative direction by Tinkre, Keeper of MoS' signature “Pookie” energy Natascha Mehra https://www.instagram.com/tinkre.in/?hl=en https://www.instagram.com/natascha.zip/?hl=en Researched by our very own curiosity engineer - Aashna Sharma https://www.linkedin.com/in/aashna-sharma-913146179Reel Editor - Yug Vermahttps://www.instagram.com/bass_abhiyug?igsh=MnlibHdsbG56MjNl&utm_source=qrDisclaimer: The views and opinions expressed on this podcast are for entertaining purposes only and do not necessarily reflect those of the hosts, the production team, or affiliated brand. Happy Friday Mosquitoes & Mossies! In honour of our real life besties NEVER listening to our advice, we started this ep off with a lil bit of healing by way of giving advice to our bollywood besties who we believe had gone down the wrong path. Criminal guys and gals seem to be the flavour of the season when it comes to falling in love, and MOS does not approve. By popular demand we are back with an episode on the futility of advising your girl besties, broken female friendships, bury-the-body friends, and the myth that is a mature friendship breakup. Naina and Sakshi debate the difference between supporting your friends and enabling them, with a humble request from Sakshi to do some enabling when it comes to Meerut pronunciations. We also discussed whether our parent's generation did friendship better, Naina tried to start a pen pal community, and Sakshi requested that you remember that this is a comedy podcast - so have some pity on a bin-byaahi beti. Finally, we unpacked a few stories from MOS listeners who experienced some insane girl besties, and took a moment of silence for the mom friend of the group (hug your nearest mom friend, give them a day off, pls). Bonus: Exam szn got Sakshi feeling nostalgic and she gave us a mini-recap of a gadhyasankalan short story that has traumatized many an ICSE student. If you are a tru MOS bestie, go enable us by hitting like, share, hype, subscribe, follow, and scream it from the rooftops so that we can hit 100k. Shripal Morakhia is an Indian serial entrepreneur best known for founding the pioneering online retail brokerage Sharekhan and the sports-entertainment venture Smaaash. His career began in the United States, where, after earning his MBA, he served as the Executive Assistant to the President of the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE).Following the death of his father in 1981, Morakhia returned to India to helm his family's stockbroking business, eventually establishing SSKI, an early institutional brokerage firm serving foreign investors. Beyond finance, Morakhia explored the entertainment industry by launching iDream Productions, through which he produced and distributed notable films like Bend It Like Beckham and Monsoon Wedding, and made his directorial debut with Naina in 2005.In 2012, he partnered with cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar to create Smaaash, an innovative indoor gaming and virtual reality center. While his career has been marked by high-profile successes, it has also involved complex business challenges, including the corporate insolvency proceedings of Smaaash in recent years. Morakhia recently documented his professional journey and entrepreneurial philosophy in his candid memoir, Never Say Die: My Life in Business and Entrepreneurship, where he reflects on his business setbacks and his subsequent philosophical rebuilding, now describing himself as "Shripal 2.0."
Hiii Mossies & Mosquitoes, welcome back to another episode of Moment of Silence. This week we took a moment to marvel at how lucky we are to be living in a place that is the very epitome of urban planning with smooth roads, bountiful parks, perfect air and the MOST comfortable public transport system. Is there even a place that could compete? We think not. That's right, this is an episode on all that Mumbai offers us. We talk about Indians and our civic sense, the ever-concerning AQI, construction noise, and Naina's determined quest to see a butterfly in the city. We also dive into Tu Ya Main's crocodile-infested scuba pool and discuss Shanaya Kapoor's flawed understanding of the influencer life. Sakshi takes us on a detour with a breakdown of her trip to Sri Lanka and then we make a small game of choosing between bad public facilities and particularly bad boyfriends. There's also a bit about plurals, or as Sakshi would like me to say plurii - in there, that you should not miss. Anyway, like, comment & don't stand under any bridges. Welcome back to another episode of Moment of Silence — where Valentine's Day is less roses and more reality checks. We start gently with “Do you even believe in love?” and then we get into couple influencers monetising their fights, decode soft launches, hard launches, and breakup triangles. You've heard of Veer Pahariya, Tara Sutaria, and AP Dhillon — but what really goes wrong? We talk power couples minting money, why dating a cricketer suddenly feels strategic, and whether modern relationships are just brand collaborations with feelings attached. Of course, we couldn't resist a chaotic “Would You Rather Date” lineup featuring Ranbir Kapoor, Shahid Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor and more — so tell us in the comments which Bollywood character you're choosing and why.We also touch upon Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, confess our crush on Hrithik Roshan, share a Valentine's survival hack, and drop a slightly dangerous (but effective) strategy to get your man to finally do household chores. This episode is about love, PR, money, ego, delusion, and feminism. Welcome back to another episode of Moment of Silence. You already know why you clicked, so let's not pretend. We're diving headfirst into this week's main character energy topic: taboo relationships. From porn and taboos being way too closely related, to the icks all thanks to the internet trends. Splitsvilla obsession, and how that chaos spilled straight into Lollapalooza. We're further unpacking age gaps, financial gaps, and the very real fitness gap (we just invented), Inter-caste, queer, lavender relationships — if it makes society uncomfortable, it made it to this episode. And let's be honest — is content creation secretly one of the most classist industries out there? We also switch gears into solving your problems — where the real villains are usually your uncle, your cousin, and sometimes, your own mother. We also introduce the 7-7-7 rule to keep romance alive and our very real takes on celebs still living in the closet. Oh, and we have a hard list of people you should never date — even if they're the last option on Earth. Not done yet. We also talked about Budget 2026 (yes, against our will), gave a round of applause to the smartest women in Meerut & more. If you're still here, help us hit 100k and become part of the chaos.Chaptering- 00:00 – We're back 00:44 – You clicked because you're nosy. HELLO AND WELCOME BACK TO ANOTHER EPISODE OF MOMENT OF SILENCE!You asked, and we delivered — pink is back, baby! From one person's trash being another person's treasure, to a trip to Baroda for a fashion show (that somehow turned into a protein intake conversation), this episode is packed with peak flopcorn moments of the week. We also get into how a gynaecologist visit can feel more like someone entering your guarded space, but when pregnancy might be knocking, you answer all the questions anyway. Sakshi's first day at work was exciting… until she had no device to work on, which led to an uncontrollable urge to order an iPad via quick commerce. And don't trust celebs who claim their favourite food spot is a random hawker — we know better. Now coming to the main topic of the episode — are romantic comedies here to stay? We dive into whether rom-coms still entice us, while revisiting a few that truly nailed the genre. Plus, we unpack all the dating advice rom-coms have fed us over the years: meet-cutes, love at first sight, beards as different phases of a man's life, and so much more. Also, Sima Taparia has written a book — thoughts? And we get real about sharing space with men, whether it's cuddling, spooning, or a hotel bathroom situation. Of course, we don't stop there — we also spill some teeny weeny (but very real) details about our own relationships. We have the winners for the Weirdest Hair Stories in association with Moxie! If you see your name on the screen, write to us at hi@mos-pod.com And help us reach 100K — make it your 2026 goal with us!Chaptering:0:00 - Intro + romcom yapping2:02 - Pop & flopcorn of the week4:24 - Protein in diet5:23 - Gynaecologist visit8:23 - Do people even work at work10:45 - Tech + office meetings chaos12:38 - Financial slams13:33 - Celebs are not relatable15:49 - Romcoms — do they still hit17:48 - Favourite romcoms - A lot like love, How to lose a guy in 10 days, 27 Dresses18:36 - Param Sundari, De De Pyaar De, Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari18:59- Rating dating advice19:58 - Krish Kapoor's Saiyaara + Ranbir era20:43 - Enemies to lovers + best friend trope29:52 - Why love stories end at marriage33:01 - Meeting your love on a solo trip36:56 - Moxie segment40:46 - Meet-cutes vs love at first sight43:44 - Sima Taparia wrote a book46:06 - Hotel room pet peeves50:05 - European bathroom tales53:54 - Cute revelation59:17 - Moxie hamper winnersAlso don't forget to visit our website- https://mos-pod.com/Brutally Honest Creators - https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLHkcqImp8gcbZHzn1secwSYYKG8dds437&si=wYCafRcBIKDy0BDCComedians Unfiltered- https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLHkcqImp8gcabWOmtiYQUUXGU4ptrq9HB&si=sWm2ep8LZr8GU_7cFollow MoS on Instagram:https://www.instagram.com/momentofsilencepod/reels/?hl=enCredits:Naina Bhan - Co-host and certified overthinkerhttps://www.instagram.com/nainabee?ig...Sakshi Shivdasani - Co-host, balancing out Naina's overthinking with a healthy dose of not thinkinghttps://www.instagram.com/sakshishivdasani/?hl=enSenior Producer- Amruta P. https://www.linkedin.com/in/amruta-bandivdekar-01879925Produced by Handmade - Our personal cheering squad https://www.instagram.com/thehandmadeproductions/Creative direction by Tinkre, Keeper of MoS' signature “Pookie” energy Natascha Mehrahttps://www.instagram.com/tinkre.in/?hl=enhttps://www.instagram.com/natascha.zip/?hl=en Researched by our very own curiosity engineer - Aashna Sharma https://www.linkedin.com/in/aashna-sharma-913146179Disclaimer: The views and opinions expressed on this podcast are for entertaining purposes only and do not necessarily reflect those of the hosts, the production team, or affiliated brand. This week on the Moment of Silence podcast we're discussing what's in and out of 2026 — shimmies are in (two, not three, please), optimism is high, and ditching the calculator was… a terrible decision. Especially when Galeries Lafayette rent math enters the chat.2026 is shaping up to be a certified popcorn year and we're choosing hope. Maybe. Is math homework still traumatic? Definitely. Even with parental help. There's a rapid-fire - What's In / What's Out powered by Moxie, a real talk on skinny culture making a comeback, the pressure on new moms to “bounce back,” and whether Ozempic is here to stay or on its way out.Plus: finding love in your 50s (yes, even in senior living), our personal predictions for people close to us, and an EPIC story where Naina is the main character.Stick around till the end — share your weirdest hair story and win a Moxie hamper. Welcome to 2026 — where resolutions are loud, motivation lasts 24 hours, and reality hits before the cheese Maggi finishes boiling. In this episode of Moment of Silence Podcast, we give you a first look at the NEW MOS Studio and ask the uncomfortable question: are we actually better versions of ourselves this year, or just rebranded? We talk about New Year resolutions that didn't even survive Jan 1, healthy eating plans sabotaged by chips, food delivery apps we swore we'd boycott (but didn't), and the chaos of trying to “do better” without changing habits. Things escalate quickly — from an unexpected encounter with Radhika Merchant, to entering the kitchen with good intentions and exiting with near-death trauma. We tick off bucket-list moments, unpack the fear and freedom of solo travel, and relive losing money in euros on our Amsterdam trip (which hurt more than expected). From Indian music feeling oddly comforting abroad, to nightfall meaning two very different things (wink wink), to questionable massage parlours that felt less relaxing and more life-threatening. We also dive into red-alert areas, suggesting a paywall option, and moments that made us question why Shankar Mahadevan sings every song like it's cardio. Add movie reviews- Dhurandar, personal losses, cultural shocks and vision boards for 2026.Basically: new year, new studio, same us — just louder, wiser (for sure), and still figuring it out.A big thank you to Orange Tree for sponsoring the lovely, comfortable furniture that elevates the space. https://www.instagram.com/orangetreehomes?utm_source=ig_web_button_share_sheet&igsh=ZDNlZDc0MzIxNw==Chaptering:00:00 – MOS enters 2026 with opinions00:37 – Welcome to the MOS Studio era01:49 – New Year resolutions02:34 – Casual day, casually met Radhika Merchant 06:09 – Almost died… in our own kitchen08:07 – We're NOT boycotting food delivery, relax09:29 – Amsterdam chaos + solo trip thoughts10:49 – Nightfall means VERY different things14:19 – Foot massage vs body massage: Amsterdam edition17:01 – The dark side of a Haribo cookie20:45 – Wallet pinched, trip traumatised23:11 – Our Amsterdam itinerary (learn from our mistakes)25:26 – Found the saddest place on earth28:06 – Bhajans & aarti… but make it modern30:47 – Dhurandhar review (honest & unhinged)37:37 – Book club is officially happening 38:15 – Vision boards for 2026 (scam or slay?)43:49 – Unsolicited advice for the mommies47:27 – AI in 2026: helpful or terrifying? Also don't forget to visit our website- https://mos-pod.com/Brutally Honest Creators - https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLHkcqImp8gcbZHzn1secwSYYKG8dds437Comedians Unfiltered- https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLHkcqImp8gcabWOmtiYQUUXGU4ptrq9HBFollow MoS on Instagram:https://www.instagram.com/momentofsil...Credits:Naina Bhan - Co-host and certified overthinkerhttps://www.instagram.com/nainabee?ig...Sakshi Shivdasani - Co-host, balancing out Naina's overthinking with a healthy dose of not thinkinghttps://www.instagram.com/sakshishivd...Senior Producer- Amruta P. www.linkedin.com/in/amruta-bandivdekar-01879925Produced by Handmade - Our personal cheering squad https://www.instagram.com/thehandmade...Creative direction by Tinkre, Keeper of MoS' signature “Pookie” energy Natascha Mehrahttps://www.instagram.com/tinkre.in/?hl=enhttps://www.instagram.com/natascha.zip/?hl=en Researched by our very own curiosity engineer - Aashna Sharma https://www.linkedin.com/in/aashna-sharma-913146179Disclaimer: The views and opinions expressed on this podcast are for entertaining purposes only and do not necessarily reflect those of the hosts, the production team, or affiliated brand. We're starting this episode on a high — celebrating our Spotify Wrapped 2025 win, looking back at the things we actually showed up for this year, and recapping how 2025 really went. From there, things spiral in true MOS fashion. We play Guilty or Not?, debate whether Goa is still the default New Year's Eve personality. The conversation then takes a sharp turn into rich-people behaviour. Somewhere in between, Kim Kardashian's pubic hair wig enters the chat — followed by a much-needed, grown-girl conversation on intimate hygiene in collaboration with Lactacyd, the world's No.1 intimate care brand. Lactacyd's scientifically formulated intimate wash is designed specifically for intimate skin, helping maintain hygiene and comfort as part of your everyday self-care routine — because taking care of yourself should be normal. We also launched the MOS website's Gossip Wall, sharing ways people catch cheaters, and finally hosting the MOS Awards 2025. #ADCheck out @India.Lactacyd – the world's no. 1 intimate care brand. HELLO & welcome back to another episode of MOMENT OF SILENCEThis week's episode is about one thing: Rage-corn.We talk about all the everyday situations that instantly make our blood boil — men having fun after sunset, people working painfully slow when you're already running late, babies crying on airplanes, and people cutting lines at post offices and metro stations. We also get into peak airport entertainment: family chaos at the luggage drop counter and why punctuality (or the lack of it) is Sakshi's biggest trigger.Quickly getting into salons with no mirrors, unreasonable extra charges, awkward tipping culture (NRIs, we need to talk), to vibrating massagers nobody asked for. We also break down why ordering food or eating out with parents versus partners is a completely different experience, each with its own emotional cost. The episode moves into smaller, quieter irritations too — joke debates around “can” vs “cancelled,” the joy of raw-dogging sleep (no phone, no noise), and whether the Cinderella gland is real or just another internet lie. We read out audience responses on the pettiest revenge they've ever taken, Naina reveals her high-school bully was a guy, and we discuss how women still end up centring men even after ages. We end with chaos, obviously — the biggest prank the MOS team has ever pulled on Sakshi, quick call-ins, and the idea of a workout theme on the 2nd MOS Anniversary. Tell us in the comments: what's the tiniest thing that instantly ruins your mood? HELLO & welcome back to another episode of MOMENT OF SILENCEWe're back with peak vulnerability, peak chaos, and peak girl-gang energy — still manifesting that 100K era together. This week's episode is basically emotional damage with a side of healing. From flopcorns that genuinely hurt our feelings, to “I thought my life was over” moments (yes, we want yours), to college romances that were either true love or pure character development — we're unpacking it all.We get into sibling chemistry that deserves its own show, why female friendships will always be non-negotiable, and how run clubs and breathwork accidentally became our healing arcs. Things spiral (naturally) into Kim Kardashian's brain scan, karma debates, Birkenstock lore you cannot skip, and why marrying the wrong man is truly a horror genre. There's also plenty of internet chaos: Sakshi's cancellation era, Smriti Mandhana wedding rumours, Akaash & Jasleen controversy talk, and the exhausting #proudrandi discourse — followed by rapid-fire madness because peace was never the goal. And of course…#AD Go Colors enters the chat - https://gocolors.com/pages/mostlysanecollectionHit play, drop your “my life is over” moment in the comments, tag your girls — and help us hit 100K so we can spiral (and heal) together on camera. HELLO & welcome back to another episode of MOMENT OF SILENCE.We're back with peak chaos, peak honesty, and peak girl-gang energy — and yes, we're manifesting that 100K milestone together. This week's episode feels like a full-time personality test: From December refusing to end, to discovering yet another patriotic dish, to Naina's dramatic airport arc (Indigo, please), it's giving India's most unserious podcast — but make it comforting. We dive into the “middle-class tags” we can't let go of, the price of living your girlhood dream, and the funniest pregnant-friend story that includes a man who absolutely did not sign up for this plot twist. There's also a lot of financial self-drag: hydrafacials, Black Friday sales, black coffee addictions, and beauty treatments we would (or would not) do again. Plus — balding wars, packaging traps, rumours we're debunking, Mumbai vs Delhi blowdries (!!), and a very wholesome Sindhi appreciation moment. And of course… #AD Moxie's Anti-Dandruff range to the rescue — clean scalp, happy hair, and no flakiness (in life or love)- https://moxiebeauty.in/collections/scalp-revivingWebsite: https://moxiebeauty.in/Hit play, tell your bestie, and help us hit 100K so we can cry together on cameraChaptering:(00:00) – Welcome back! Have you ever thought of the kitchen as a place of calm, clarity, and connection? I'm thrilled to sit down with my friend and chef, Naina Bhedwar, next week on the Eating at a Meeting Podcast to talk about her new program, "Feed Your Peace." Naina has always been my go-to when it comes to Indian cuisine (I met her years ago at The Cook's Warehouse in Atlanta where I worked her classes). But now, she's blending her background in psychology, counseling, and cooking to create something truly powerful: a way to bring mindfulness into one of the most ordinary—and essential—parts of our lives, the kitchen. "Feed Your Peace" isn't just about recipes. It's about using cooking as a tool to:
HELLO & WELCOME BACK TO ANOTHER EPISODE OF MOMENT OF SILENCE — also known as the bravest space for crying, venting, healing and pretending we're fine. This week, we're deep-diving into every kind of tear: the math-exam tears, the restaurant-khichdi tears, the “my relatives didn't order noodles” tears, and the elite-level bathroom-floor crying that honestly should count as cardio. We're unpacking why women cry more, how anger shapeshifts as we grow up, and the unhinged triggers that send us into emotional spirals. There's dad affection (twice a year, respectfully), celebrity crush posters, Ariana Grande memes, scary dreams, anxious-girlie hyper vigilance, and arguments where crying becomes the main character. We're also rating the saddest places to cry, decoding crying during fights with boyfriends, and figuring out whether we're team yell-it-out or team cry-into-a-pillow.Grab your tissues, your inner child, and whatever is left of your dignity — because this episode is peak emotional Olympics. Tell us in the comments: What's the stupidest thing you've ever cried over?Chaptering-(00:00) – We're back, emotional, lightly hydrated(00:36) – Stop bottling it up, bestie(01:32) – Yet another dad story (we can't help it)(02:26) – No noodles = instant tears(04:32) – 14-course tasting… aka khichdi(07:30) – Why we cry: triggers exposed(09:13) – Saddest places to cry, ranked(10:51) – Crying with body parts… science?(12:51) – Women vs emotions: impossible game(14:10) – Maths exam = certified trauma(16:53) – School-era “not feminine enough” arc(19:14) – Songs & movies that destroyed us(21:13) – When THEY cry vs when he cries(22:35) – Crying in love vs crying at work(24:35) – Reels & ads that ruin your day(27:50) – Ariana's red carpet meme meltdown(29:13) – Celebrity crush posters & teen delulu(31:42) – Anger via venting & gossip (MOS style)(33:22) – Kid anger vs adult anger(38:35) – Women vs men: crying stats(40:44) – Dependent vs independent girl POV(42:18) – Cute dreams vs emotionally violent ones(45:43) – Anxious girlies: hyper-vigilant edition(47:47) – Are you a crier or a yeller?)Also don't forget to visit our website- https://mos-pod.com/Password : mospod4evaAlso… consider this your gentle-but-not-really-gentle reminder to watch our first ever MOS Vlog- https://youtu.be/IBKqUmMtwy0Follow MoS on Instagram:https://www.instagram.com/momentofsil...Credits:Naina Bhan - Co-host and certified overthinkerhttps://www.instagram.com/nainabee?ig...Sakshi Shivdasani - Co-host, balancing out Naina's overthinking with a healthy dose of not thinkinghttps://www.instagram.com/sakshishivd...Produced by Handmade - Our personal cheering squad https://www.instagram.com/thehandmade...Creative direction by Tinkre, Keeper of MoS' signature “Pookie” energy Natascha Mehrahttps://www.instagram.com/tinkre.in/?hl=enhttps://www.instagram.com/natascha.zip/?hl=enResearched by our very own curiosity engineer - Aashna Sharma https://www.linkedin.com/in/aashna-sharma-913146179Disclaimer: The views and opinions expressed on this podcast are for entertaining purposes only and do not necessarily reflect those of the hosts, the production team, or affiliated brand. “Psychedelics trigger a unitive state, and meditation trains it.”So says Naina Eira Gupta, who researches the therapeutic potential of psychedelics and meditation.Psychedelics work because they disrupt the monkey mind, she asserts. They stop the constant chattering in your head, which is the mind's MO to perpetuate the story of ‘you'.Everything we think we have is just that, a story.“Psychedelics are assisted mind training, I would call it. They provide mental immunity”, says Naina. Then, meditation trains you to keep that base perception, to see the story for what it is.“You realize you don't have to be reactive to a particular thought or feeling, because it's just a story.“When the ego dissolves, you become so much more of an effective human being.“You can fall in love with the world. Everything becomes lighter. You don't feel so much distance between what you perceive as ‘you' and the rest of it.”What Naina hopes for is that more people have access to mind training, “because it's deeply, deeply transformative”.Different psychedelic drugs work in different ways. Some can trigger negative experiences if taken irresponsibly. According to Naina, MDMA is one of the best for pro-sociality and connectedness, because it produces very little bad experiences.Psychedelic experiences can be so transformative that it can be difficult to know what to do with them. Some kind of scaffolding around their use is needed, says Naina.“Even so, many studies now show that psychedelics are beneficial therapeutically, even just in themselves, even if you don't have a particular practice around them.”As a practicing Buddhist, Naina Gupta doesn't hold a certain metaphysics. The middle way means that you accept that reality cannot be framed or pinned down. Something is, isn't, is both and is neither, at the same time.“It's just unbelievable potential.”The cause of our suffering is the subject-object duality.Naina has several meditation practices, and she has trained herself to dream lucidly. Is this – learning how to liberate oneself from duality with the help of psychedelics, meditation and other spiritual practices – conducive to achieving a more peaceful world?“If there is any hope, it lies in this.”“I wouldn't be talking to you today if this wasn't needed.”Naina's personal page at the University of ExeterNaina on Linkedin
