Parrothead & Skull Grunt go their own way this week, with Parrothead keeping himself and his flock roosted on Akala while Skull Grunt takes to the sky with Charizard Glide and goes off on some misadventures back on Melemele. Then they explore the newly unlocked northern half of Akala, encountering a string of strange characters, past and present—from the robots to Colress's confounding hair, to Kukui's wife and some mysterious golfers who practice their swings in a parking lot outside of a jungle. Eventually they make their way into that jungle and go on a hunt for some soup ingredients, which somehow means you're a talented enough trainer to pass Mallow's Trial. “We sing in the Choir together” Six months have passed and as Em City begins to return to normal following the death of Adebisi, a News crew are granted permission to film a documentary series for the local station detailing life at Oz. Originally proposed as A Day In The Life of a New Inmate, starring the incoming Omar White on his first day in prison, the team's producer Lisa Logan soon discovers an alleged cover-up of Adebisi's death. As Lisa digs deeper, Leo and McManus must act fast to avoid the truth being discovered. Furthermore Jack Eldridge, a hard-hitting Investigative Journalist, is set to spend the night inside one of Em City's trademark Pods. Having had a run-in with the O'Reily brothers several years earlier, Ryan seeks revenge and befriends Omar in an attempt to get to Jack, but Omar proves to be too hot-headed, attempting to murder Jack following a misunderstanding. With Ryan's plan having backfired, Jack chooses his Pod-mate for the night, selecting Cyril due to his mental capacity. Jack underestimates Cyril's mental state though, leading to a rough night of filming.
