Founded in 1968, Parti Gerakan Rakyat Malaysia advocates for a non-racial, secular, and socially just Malaysia. Once a dominant force, particularly in Penang, the party lost all its parliamentary seats in the 2018 elections and subsequently left Barisan Nasional after more than five decades with the coalition. Datuk Dr. Dominic Lau, the National President tells us about Gerakan's current influence and why they are part of Perikatan Nasional.

Elections after elections after elections, it seems Pakatan Harapan has managed to blunt Perikatan Nasional's momentum in the recent Kuala Kubu Baru by-election. But what does this say about the coalition's strength in countering the Green Wave? Indications suggest that Bersatu's role in Perikatan Nasional mirrors UMNO's in the Unity Government. Meanwhile, PAS appears to have reached its peak voter base and must now explore new avenues to attract fence-sitters and traditionally untargeted demographics. Much of the analysis post-GE15 has been focused on the changing support base of Malay-based parties. However the elections have also seen detrimental outcomes for two major Chinese-based parties, namely MCA and Gerakan. Gerakan, which had aligned itself with Perikatan Nasional, lost in all 20 seats it contested, while MCA fared slightly better, winning two out of 44 seats contested. What does this election outcome mean for the future of MCA and Gerakan moving forward? Political analyst Dr. Oh Ei Sun weighs in.Image credit: Shutterstock

Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim is Malaysia's 10th prime minister, 24 years after he was sacked as deputy by Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad. Malaysia's parties battle on social media to woo young voters One trend that has emerged in the leadup to Malaysia's 15th General Election on November 19 is that parties took their battle on social media in a bid to woo young voters. How much will their social media presence swing the outcome? This election will also be the first where voters have three main coalitions to choose from – Barisan Nasional, Pakatan Harapan and Perikatan Nasional, but Straits Times' Malaysia Bureau Chief Shannon Teoh says a clear and decisive win seems unlikely. On the Straits Times The Big Story, Multimedia journalist, Cheow Sue-Ann speaks with Shannon for more.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
PRU DATANG LAGI!!! With that in mind, kami ajak wakil dari SETIAP coalition dan bentangkan dekat kita "KENAPA PERLU UNDI PARTI YANG KAU SOKONG?" berdasarkan guideline di bawah: -GUEST IS ANONYMOUS -GIVE PROS (AS IN PROS & CONS) -STRICTLY NO FEAR-MONGERING -STRICTLY NO HATE SPEECH -STRICTLY NO ATTACKS ON ANY INDIVIDUALS OR POLITICAL PARTIES Jom dengar dengan minda dan hati yang terbuka. Semoga kita semua dapat buat informed decision.
