Texas Real Estate Commission - Information About Brokerage Services Blast from the Past, is a special follow up the hosts conversation, in Episode 67 Season 4 about being a Young Boomer or an Old Gen X. The siblings talked about their dad Bob Seemann and Eric specifically talked about how his dad was just an old soul. While Bob was a teen and young adult coming of age in the 1950's he cherished old songs, music and that he just didn't like 'Modern Music' and that "Rock & Roll". Here is the proof in Bob's own voice and speach. From 1955, Robert A. Seemann while a Junior at Ohio State University (the "THE" didn't come until later years), made this recording on a 78 rpm vinyl record. To capture this recording, Eric used a circa 1920's RCA Victor Victrola "His Master's Voice" which he restored in the 1980's. The Victrola was a family heirloom from Dad's Grandfather, which just seemed appropriate. The image in this episodes artwork is our Dad in 1982 on a trip through Canada. Donna Reed and Eric Seemann are both professional real estate agents. Donna lives and works in Tucson Arizona with Keller Williams Southern Arizona while Eric lives and works in San Antonio Texas with Keller Williams Heritage. They are also siblings, and they grew up in a small Northwest Ohio village of Lindsey. Their idyllic small-town childhood laid the foundation for what would become the structure of their lives and careers in real estate. We hope you will join us as we reminisce, reflect, and correlate how our childhood and life in rural Ohio still impacts our dealings with our clients today. In this episode of the Farm4Profit Podcast, we're joined by Dr. Vinayak Shedekar, a research scientist at the forefront of multifunctional drainage systems in agriculture. Drain tile has long been used to remove excess water from fields, but according to Dr. Shedekar, that's just scratching the surface. We explore how tile systems can now support irrigation, manage seasonal water needs, improve water quality, and even contribute to conservation efforts. Dr. Shedekar explains the concept of transitioning from "drain to de-rain"—a strategy that leverages tile infrastructure to retain or redistribute water based on the time of year and crop demand. He also unpacks the potential of drainage water management and subirrigation in increasing yields, improving efficiency, and enhancing farm profitability—especially in places like Northwest Ohio, where traditional irrigation adoption has been limited.Listeners will gain a deeper understanding of:How to evaluate their current tile systemWhether water management upgrades make senseHow conservation practices like bioreactors and control structures play into the big pictureWhat technologies are emerging to help maximize return from these buried systemsIf you've ever wondered whether your tile could be doing more for your crops, wallet, and the environment, this episode is for you. Many business, when sold or there has been some other change in control, will advertise: UNDER NEW MANAGEMENT. These signs are posted to attact attention and in many cases this is to imply that the NEW MANAGMENT will be great and anything related to the old management is done and gone. What is certain is that changes are coming and as a rule, most of us humans, don't like change. If this is related to your residence in a Townhome Community, Condominium, Apartments or even the Owners Association Management Company for a Planned Urban Developement (PUD) things are getting a shake up. Time to discuss and present some of the ways this could impact you, your family and your lifestyle. Donna Reed and Eric Seemann are both professional real estate agents. A simple definition of Eminent Domain is when the Government uses its power to acquire or seize private property. This may be like land or a house with the intent to use that property for something that helps the public. Compensation (that means money) is offered but what could be long some of the lasting impacts to the seller? Current market value does not necessarily equate to long term appreciate or loss of value on remaing value to private property. That is what the Real Siblings discuss on their latest episode. Every spring in Northwest Ohio, the shores of Lake Erie transform into a birder's paradise. Birder and author Kenn Kaufman, who lives in this area, says that of the many species that migrate through here, one group of vibrant, vivacious songbirds stands out from the rest: warblers. Trees leaf out later in the season along the lakeshore, making the tiny warblers easier to see as they forage for food. Northwest Ohio has earned a reputation as the Warbler Capital of the World among birders in the know. But Kenn wishes everyone could glimpse the beauty of warbler migration, even if they don't make it to the Warbler Capital.More info and transcript at BirdNote.org.Want more BirdNote?
