A small town in west Tennessee received some overwhelming news this year. Stanton, a town of 414 souls, was awarded the title of a Blue Oval City by the Ford Motor Company. Markus and Mary Feirer are taking the gospel to the streets of a major East Asian city. Even though some told the gospel workers that approaching strangers and striking up conversations about the gospel wouldn't work, they tried anyway. And, maybe you've wondered what your pastor is thinking as he preaches. In a Baptist Press article, a few pastors share some observations you might find interesting.

"How do I fill the hole in my heart?" This is a question that people ask themselves but search for it in all the wrong places. In a world full of empty promises, depression, anxiety, fear and suicide only Jesus can fill that emptiness and bring true healing and transformation. On this episode of The Revelations Podcast, we are joined by Gen Z Bryce Crawford, who had a transformative encounter with Jesus at a Waffle House. After hearing a man's story about a loveless relationship, Bryce experienced God's revelation[1] about his own relationship with Him. This revelation led Bryce to dive deeper into his faith and start sharing meaty biblical teachings on social media and now has thousands following him to learn more about Jesus. We also talked about the house churches in LA and how pivotal moments of God's revelation can happen at the dinner table. Bryce shares his personal experiences with Jesus and emphasizes the importance of prioritizing intimacy with Him to reduce insecurity and offense towards others. We also discuss the need for different types of people to spread the message of Jesus and how love is the greatest form of evangelism. If you are in your own personal search for your faith and how you can start a true relationship with God, this episode is for you. Here are three reasons why you should listen to this episode:Understand the importance of inviting Jesus into every aspect of your life, however mundane or insignificant it may seem.Discover the power of experiencing Jesus for oneself, rather than just knowing about Him theoretically or through other people's stories.Learn about the danger of relying on external sources for validation or satisfaction, rather than seeking fulfillment through a personal relationship with God.ResourcesMore from the Revelations Podcast: Website | Instagram | Apple PodcastConnect with Bryce Crawford: Instagram | Tiktok | SnapchatPulse MovementSystematic Theology by Wayne GrudemBible VersesPsalm 91-107James 5:17Psalm 139Luke 241 Corinthians 13:5This Episode is brought to you by Advanced Medicine AlternativesGet back to the active life you love through natural & regenerative musculoskeletal healing: https://www.georgekramermd.com/Episode Highlights[4:41] Why did Bryce choose to become a Christian?Bryce's decision to become a Christian was the result of a personal journey and realization that the things he was trying to fill the hole in his heart with could not provide him with the peace, joy, and fulfillment that he was seeking. He rejected other religions that require working for salvation because he saw that he couldn't even fill the hole in his heart without help. Bryce's family saw him as the Christian member of the family, but he didn't fully embrace Christianity until a later age when he had his own personal revelation and encounter with Jesus. This made him realize that only through a relationship with Jesus can he receive salvation, renewal, and a sense of purpose.[11:25] God's Revelation at Waffle HouseA man at Waffle House who Bryce shared a meal, confided in him about his divorce. The man loves his wife but feels like she doesn't love him backAs the man poured out his heart, Bryce felt a revelation from God that he had been treating Him similarly to the man's relationship with his wife. Bryce had been neglecting his relationship with God and failing to notice the little things He did in his life.Bryce was deeply moved by the man's words and realized that he too needed to invite God into every aspect of his life and totally surrender to him.Listened to the full episode to be inspired by Bryce's revelation.[12:34] "There's no growth in a relationship if the love isn't mutual." — Bryce Crawford [15:14] How God reveals himself to Gen Z PeopleYounger people are getting involved in negative things earlier, which may cause them to seek God sooner out of desperation. Bryce believes that sharing meaty biblical teachings with simplified explanations can help reach younger people on social media. Listen to the full episode to learn more about the stories of young people encountering Jesus and how their lives are changing.God can reveal Himself to the Gen Z population through personal experiences and encounters with God.[21:32] "I believe that every morning when I wake up, as my eyes are opening, Jesus is at the end of my bed. Uh oh, he's waking up. He's waking up. And then I get up, and he's like, yes, he's woken up. Bryce, you're awake? I can't wait to spend this day with you." — Bryce Crawford[25:15] How to break down scripture in a simplified wayStart with the context: Before diving into a specific passage or verse, it's important to provide some context about the book or chapter it's from. This can help the listener understand the overall message or theme.Use real-life examples: Try to illustrate the lesson or teaching with an example from everyday life. This can help make the message relatable and applicable.Keep it concise: Avoid getting too deep into theological discussions or complex language. Stick to the key points and keep it short and simple.Bring it back to Jesus: Always remember to tie the message back to Jesus and the Gospel. Help the listener understand how the specific passage or teaching relates to their relationship with God.[26:59] "I don't have to prove myself to anyone. I can just be myself. People are going to understand me for me." — Bryce Crawford[44:50] Love Keeps No Record of WrongWhen we love someone, we don't hold their past mistakes against them. Instead, we forgive them and give them a fresh start. This applies not only to our relationships with other people, but also to our relationship with God.Bryce explained that sometimes we hold onto past mistakes and allow them to define us, leading to feelings of shame and guilt. However, when we understand that love keeps no record of wrong, we can let go of those negative feelings and learn to see ourselves and others through the eyes of love. It's also important to extend this same grace and forgiveness to others, even when we feel wronged or hurt by them. Through love, we can find healing and restoration in our relationships, both with others and with God.Overall, the idea of love keeping no record of wrong is a powerful reminder of the transformative power of love and forgiveness. By embracing this concept in our lives, we can free ourselves and others from the burden of past mistakes and move towards a future full of hope and joy.[57:02] "If I can hit my knees and pray for my friend or my loved one before I approach them, what can I do? If you're going to see them on a daily basis, love them. Love the snot out of them." — Bryce Crawford[58:53] How should you approach the Lord?Approaching the Lord should be done with intentionality and an open heart. It's important to prioritize intimacy with Jesus by spending time daily in prayer and reading the Bible. When approaching the Lord, it's important to be honest, vulnerable, and willing to listen to His voice. Inviting Jesus into every aspect of your life and seeking His guidance in decision-making can also deepen your relationship with Him. Remember that Jesus is always waiting for you with open arms, excited to spend time with you. So approach Him with confidence, knowing that He wants to be a part of your life.About Bryce CrawfordBryce Crawford is a young evangelist who was selected to participate in Pulse 100, a ministry program that trains up-and-coming evangelists. Despite being only 19 years old, Bryce is passionate about faith and has a strong desire to bring about revival. Throughout the program, Bryce has had the opportunity to learn from experienced evangelists such as Nick Hall and Preston Perry, as well as older individuals who share the same passion as him. Street Evangelism. A phrase conjuring up images of crazy preachers with placards reading "The End is Nigh", one that strikes fear in many Christians. Is it a thing of the past, with no place in our multicultural 21st century cities? Or is it still a means that God can use, even one He still calls us to? Dominic Muir is an evangelist, teacher, author ('God Hunger: Meditations from a Life of Longing' and ‘Firebrand: Devotions from a Life of Burning') and revivalist with a passion for street ministry and the priesthood of all believers. Dominic co—leads a ministry vehicle of gospel proclamation and demonstration called ROAR (www.roarthegospel.org) with Evangelist Daniel Chand. Before founding Jesus Fields, Dominic ran an itinerant ministry called Now Believe (www.nowbelieve.com) and is also founder of 'David's Tent', a three day annual Christian worship event in the UK (www.davidstent.net). Suggested Preparation Go out in twos (Luke 10:1). One will be praying as the other is sharing. Head to a place where people loiter (park, mall, etc.). This is the target audience, as people don't like getting interrupted if they are trying to accomplish a task. Check your own hearts (Psalm 51:10-13). We want to be pure and holy before asking the Holy Spirit to use us to lead people to Him. Be prayed up before you head out. We are plundering souls from Satan's kingdom, and he does not like it. And, God is the only one who can save them (2 Cor 4:6). Know and practice sharing the Gospel with trusted friends. It also may be helpful to know some basic apologetics, particularly answering the question, “Why you believe what you believe?” Getting People to Stop: Ask a simple question, something like “Excuse me, may I ask you a question?” Getting Their Permission: Ask the individual(s) if they'd be interested in taking a short questionnaire concerning spiritual things. Ex. “Hi my name is _______ and this is _______. We are from a local church, and we are out in the community trying to determine people's religious preferences around the area of the Church and perhaps dialogue about faith. We have a brief four-point questionnaire. Would you be willing to take a minute or two and assist us?"Get to Know Something About Them Personally (shows that you care): --where are you from? --what do you do for a living? --(for students) what are you studying? Asking these questions will help you determine what they believe (for groups address each person individually):1. Would you classify yourself as spiritual, religious, atheist, or agnostic?2. To you, who is Jesus Christ?3. Do you believe in an afterlife? (If yes) Can you describe it?4. (If heaven/hell) How does a person get to heaven?(If unsure or hoping there's a heaven or an afterlife) If you could know for sure without having to wonder would you want to know?(If anything else [ex. Atheist]) How do you know that's true?Possible Diagnostic Question instead of Q4: If you died today and stood before God, and he asked, “Why should I let you into heaven?”, what would you say?Concluding the questionnaire: If they are opened and engaged, feel free to continue the conversation. (Many of these conversations will go for 20-30 minutes.) Do you mind if I ask a follow-up question to what you just said? This isn't part of the survey, so we are officially done, but If you don't mind, I wanted to ask . . .You will meet many different people when evangelizing, some open and some not. One category would be those who are receptive to the message and you may sense that they could be ready to surrender to Christ. In these cases, after sharing the Gospel, it may be appropriate to ask, "Is there anything keeping you from giving your life to Christ right now?" You may get the privilege of introducing them to Jesus.More frequently, people are not quite ready to trust Christ. For those still wrestling, a 21-day challenge in the Gospel of John can be helpful. "Can I leave you a 21-day challenge? It is to read one chapter in the Gospel of John for 21 days. There are 21 chapters, one for each day, and ask, 'Jesus, if you really are who you say you are, would you reveal yourself to me?' If nothing happens, no harm done; you just learn a little more about the Bible, but if Jesus does show you who He is, it will change your life forever and your eternity." Note: that it is good to have a Gospel of John on you to give them, or you can show them on your phone. Finally, you will encounter those who are closed off. They will often answer the questionnaire, but not want to continue talking. That is fine. We don't kick down doors the Holy Spirit has left closed. Regardless of when the conversation comes to a close, be sure to thank them for their time, and let them know you really appreciate them sharing. Above All Remember We are simply called to be faithful. That means sharing the Gospel with dependence on the Holy Spirit. God is the one who saves them not us. Don't get discouraged if the seed falls on hard ground. Prayer is the fountainhead from which all ministry flows. Be prayed up before evangelizing, pray for God to lead you to the right people, and pray for people after you share. We suggest always going out in pairs so that one person can be praying while the other is talking.

let me begin by stating that we need to pray for Nathan. I don't know exactly how he was brought up but by his lack of understanding of the Bible, I personally do not believe he is saved. I worry for Nathan since he seemed to have created a god of his own image, and have not gotten the true understanding of Gods true Justice towards sin. Nathan in so many ways personifies your average "Christian" believer. They attend church for many years but lack knowledge of what the bible says. They are quick to state the years they have attended church but are very superficial in their belief of God. Pray For Nathan! Hope you got something out of this conversation. One on one evangelism: With Scott McNamaraIn this Theology Podcast Josh Lewis with "The Remnant Radio" and Scott McNamara from "Jesus at the door" discuss why the church has had such a hard time harvesting in the ministry of evangelism, and how we can remedy that problem. The Church is full of sowing, but the church often struggles with reaping. Scott McNamara is empowering the body of Christ with an easy evangelism tool that is getting results all around the world, without establishing false finish lines. Faith, Repentance, and the Atonement of Christ Jesus are not being shied from, yet people are coming to Jesus by the thousands. The process is simple whether it is street evangelism, door to door outreach, or sharing your faith with friends or family, anyone and everyone can use this 9 step process. Hope you enjoy
