Yesterday, Dom got a call from a listener arguing about addiction issues, in which the caller revealed he was an active user seeking help. After the call, Dom had Producer Dan take his info, putting him in touch with both Pastor Bill Devlin and listeners Dave and Heather of AddictionsAnswer.org. Within hours, Pastor Bill, Dave and Heather were able to get our listeners into a detox facility, the first step in his fully-paid-for rehab stint in effort to kick an addiction to Tranq. Pastor Devlin explains that he had just returned from a trip from the Gaza strip, communicating with Dave and Heather and friends while waiting in the JFK airport, with Heather and Dave arranging transportation to the facility. Bouncing off of this, Dom leads into a criticism of the current state of the economy, reading back tweets from a prompt he posted yesterday telling of everyday effects of the rise in prices around the Country. Then, Dom welcomes Jennifer Brozost, co-founder of Private Education Advisory Service, onto the Dom Giordano Program to hear what's factoring into prospective college students decisions for which school they'd like to attend for college. First, Dom asks Brozost for what usually factors into students' decisions, with Brozost explaining that for years students have been choosing their university based on whether their values closely align with that of the University. Then, Dom welcomes in FOP Lodge 5 President John McNesby to discuss the capture of one of the two suspects who shot and killed Police Officer Richard Mendez and wounded Officer Raul Ortiz in a Philadelphia International Airport after the officers tried preventing a car theft.
