We're reading some detective comics this week! No, not the Bat. We're reading a lesser known PI published by Renegade Comics in the 80s: Ms. Tree, written by Max Alan Collins with art by Terry Beatty. We jump into the middle of the book and read issues #18-23 in which Ms. Tree deals with the death of her archnemesis... and kills a ton of people. We were expecting a little more noir and a little less Punisher. Then we continue Thunderbolts with issue #3 in which the former Masters of Evil meet the current Masters of Evil! We are joined by past Phantom Sunday artist, Terry Beatty who drew the Phantom in the KFS Sunday newspaper strip between the dates of January 29, 2012 and the last one on May 7, 2017.He drew 9 complete stories and 2 part stories including gems like "Mandrake's Bon Voyage", "Death Stalks the 5th Phantom" and "The Shadows of Rune Noble". Terry is part of the exclusive club that both drew The Phantom and Batman, only the third credited artist to draw both the Phantom and Mandrake in a newspaper story and the last artist to draw the Phantom after legendary artist Fred Fredericks retired.This is a phun episode as we go through Terry's career including his Australian trip as a guest of the Australian chapter of the LFMBEC. The CW has just revealed a first look at the Season 3 big bad in her costume, which serves as a dark mirror to the Girl of Steel's own. Befitting of any villain, Reign's costume is completely black, though it seems to be made of the same material as Supergirl's She also has a shield on her chest, but it contains a skull instead of the House of El's“S” symbol. Amell said, "The Green Arrow can be more than one person. The Green Arrow is a symbol and his team isa symbol. The fact that we are pushing Star City in the right direction is something that is important to me because I don't want the city to get destroyed every year...It's been a very strange time for me on the show, because we're talking about going on four episodes now where I'm really out of the mix, and that's been challenging for me." I would not be surprised if his name gets changed before too long, as well,” Beatty wrote. “Whatever was unique about his ‘street level' costume has been replaced with the current standard issue dark armored uniform — a generic ‘third Imperial Guard from the left/Death-Blood-Stroke-Stryke/Image big gun' look.
