I loved it back when it came out, and replaying it twenty years later, I'm happy to say it holds up in the best way. This is a must-play for superhero junkies. If you've never played it, this was the game that paved the way for the Ultimate Alliance series. You form a team of 4, choosing from over a dozen members of X-Men, and then it becomes a bad-ass dungeon crawler. Every character controls the same but plays different, and when you add in the multiplayer facets, you got yourself a hummmmm dinger. My buddy Tyler is the Nightcrawler to my Gambit, and we had a chat about why this truly is one of the best super hero games ever made. If you've never played it, I hope we convince you to take the leap. Just don't use Emma Frost. She sucks. And before we play with legends, I put together another edition of the Infamous Intro! This week, someone asks if I played any classic PC games as a kid, and I put out a call to action for the hot dogs. Has a video game ever humbled me? (Yes). And do I have any plans to change up the show anytime soon? Plus we play another round of 'Play One, Remake One, Erase One', too! This one features 3 retro X-Men games: The Uncanny X-Men (NES), X-Men: Mutant Apocalypse (SNES), and X-Men (Genesis). Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices
Scott and Josh wind up for the week talking EVERYTHING they're playing, along with more hilarity surrounding the Borderlands movie. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.

Long gone are the days where our mutants stayed secluded on a fantasy island. We're knee deep in tie ins but skimming high level, because really, we're only here for our Krakoan mutants. So let's celebrate 40 years of great New Mutants stories as we send off Vita and Rod (sadness). Let's get mentally confusing in David's brain space as Legion of X closes out its first arc. Let's literally enjoy every single aspect of X-Terminators and read it multiple times. And of course, let's see what that crazy space god is doing up at the North Pole. We talk Judgment Day #5, X-Terminators #1, Legion of X #5 and New Mutants #30, along with some high level looks at JD tie ins from Avengers and Fantastic Four, an X-Men Legends throwback and those Unlimited stories Thanks for listening to our thirty first episode of Season 4! On this week's episode of IGN's PlayStation show, Podcast Beyond 746, host Jonathon Dornbush is joined by Jada Griffin and Mark Medina for another trip down PlayStation nostalgia lane, as we discuss the PS2 games we want on the new PS Plus lineup later this year. The trio throws the show order all out of whack when they open the show discussing the games they've been playing this week (and shockingly not Severance)! We discuss a bit of A Plague Tale, Jada's love for Slay the Spire, and how Jonathon accidentally made Mark fall in love with Fortnite. Then, the cast breaks down the PS2 games we'd like to see added to PS Plus, alongside the problems that come with so many having received remasters or remakes, what original versions we would still want to see, and if having a PS2 original to download is a better option than a PS3 remaster to stream. (Jonathon has a semi-breakdown in real-time about it, even!) We dig into some of the biggest games we loved from the PS2 era, from PlayStation first-party games on the PlayStation 2 like Sly Cooper and Ratchet and Clank, to third-party hits like SSX Tricky, X-Men Legends, the GTA Trilogy and more, along with big franchises like Dynasty Warriors, Persona, and so much more, including even PS2 licensed games and favorites of the era, like the PlayStation 2's 007: Nightfire and the Lord of the Rings games like Two Towers and Return of the King on PS2. We also discuss some of your picks for your favorite PS2 games, and discuss the ups and downs of the PS2 generation overall. Then, the crew takes a breather from our PS2 nostalgia to look at some of the latest news of the week, including Amy Hennig's new Star Wars game, the latest Portal 3 hopes, Kojima Productions not joining PlayStation and more, before wrapping things up with an appropriately themed PS2 Memory Card!

What's this? Anna, Mav, and Andrew talking about a current comic book? Released this very past Wednesday?? It took Chris Claremont writing a tie-in to our darling, officially known as X-Men Legends #12: “Start Again: A Prelude to Excalibur” to drag us into the present. Except it's not really the present; it's still the past, specifically, the space between “Fall of the Mutants” and the arrival of the Technet at Muir Island in “The Sword is Drawn.” We do some griping but also wax nostalgic about expectations and Claremont and what it means to love fictional characters who always keep changing with an obligation to remain the same.
Two times the Wolverine, now with even more brain exploding twists! Lives and Deaths deliver the unexpected - and somewhat haunting. Our Logan adventure is nearing its end bubs, but not before we get in a few last snikts!! Sabretooth plays the hand he's dealt and it seems the Helmet Bros are overstepping their boundaries. We talk our first issue of X-Men Legends on the podcast as Nightcrawler and Shadowcat try and stop Mystique! And our Infinity Comics wrap up our OTHER Wolverine story and bring us further down the trail of our Wolverine Timeline. Wow that's a lot of Logan... we talk X-Men Legends, Sabretooth, X Lives of Wolverine, X Deaths of Wolverine and Infinity Comics Thanks for listening to our sixtieth episode of Season 3! We're in that special in-between time, not quite Reign of X, not yet Destiny of X, but with a whole lot of Wolverine. Time to get this one out of the way. This podcast exists because of X-Men. The most requested game for people to be a guest for are X-Men games. Specifically it's this one. What some people would say is “the perfect X-Men game” and I've heard this from many many people. Listen in as Zack Jenkins from ComicxXF comes to finally talk about the game that everyone has been waiting for. X-Men Legends 2. Learn such things as: Is an N-Gage ever worth it? How much customization is enough? Is this possibly the perfect primer source game to get into the comics? And so much more! Also be sure to check out Legends of Shield Episode 415 for a (not biased at all) brilliant Previously On clip segment. You can find the guest on Twitter @ComicsXF and all over ComicxXF.
