Capt. Todd Jones of Panama City, FL tells us all about the offshore bite. We dive into some of the science behind the Cobia migration and hear about catching King Mackerel as we transition closer to Fall. Then we hear from Capt. Lionel James out of Destin, FL. He tells us how he finds and targets schools of big, bull redfish off of the beach.
This week we hear from Capt. Brant Peacher out of Pensacola and find out where he has been finding fish. We also talk to Capt. Lionel James of Destin and find out about the bite nearshore and on the beaches. Lastly, we speak with Capt. Todd Jones and find out what he is targeting and catching offshore in Panama City. One thing we are trying on this podcast is asking the guides where they plan to fish their clients in the next few days. This allows us to gain insight into how they are planning, in real time, to fish the current conditions. This information can be invaluable to those of us that aren't able to pick the day that we are able to go out but rather have to fish the conditions as they present themselves.
In this episode of "Between Two Todds," Todd Jones discusses his songwriting process for Nails and why he thinks of himself more as a "music fan" than a "musician." Todd has a public perception that is often totally out of alignment with his actual personality. Some of this is likely a side effect of being the front man of one of the most aggressive bands currently playing in metal and hardcore. However, we get to see Todd as an introspective and curious fan of music on his new podcast called Unsilent Death. He interviews other musicians and producers, and digs into all of the aspects of the craft of making music - from songwriting, to production, to touring.
