March 6, 2011 - Ron and Conor are off in Seattleville, or Pacficinorthwestburg, or some such, so Josh handles the shop, and invites iFanboy writers Paul Montgomery and Tom Katers on the show to fill in, and much merriment is had by all and more agreement than usual. Plus, apparently if you need a shanty-ish room, Red Lobster may or may not be the place for you. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices
October 3, 2010 - An unexpected cold strikes Josh down and makes him unable to record, so the erstwhile Tom Katers steps in to fill in and we'll be honest...things get weird. But we all know that when that happens, it's a good thing. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices
Tom Katers sits in for a vacationing Wooooode, wringing his trademark blend of wry humor out of topics like Brightest Day, The Smurfs from Peyo and Papercutz, One Piece and Silver Age sensibilities, Paul Grist's The Weird World of Jack Staff, Queen and Country, Dexter, Tom Defalco and Archie: The Man from Riverdale, Simpsons Comics #168 from Bongo, Locke and Key: Welcome to Lovecraft and Keys to the Kingdom from Joe Hill and Gabriel Rodriguez, Showcase: Enemy Ace and Essential Man-Thing volume one, Howard Chaykin, Angelus #1-4 from Top Cow, The Luna Bros' and The Sword, Bakuman volume one from Shonen Jump/Viz Media, The Return of Bruce Wayne, JMS, Kanigher's Wonder Woman, and a whole mess more!
August 15, 2010 - With Josh in the wilderness of New England, Ron and Conor tap the mighty Tom Katers to enter the fray once again and wax poetic on the magic of comic books. Won't you join us? Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices
June 10, 2010 - Josh Flanagan, Tom Katers, and Jim Mroczkowski tuck in for a nice long discussion on Marvel's Invincible Iron Man. The first Omnibus covers the first 19 issues of the impressive run by writer Matt Fraction and artist Salvador Larroca. The discussion covers the characterization of Tony, as well as the inclusion of major storylines involving Pepper Potts, and her 'Rescue' armor, and the once maligned Maria Hill. Even Norman Osborn came out OK in this one. This story is certain to be essential Iron Man reading as the movies continue to total ever higher box office receipts, and the book does it without Robert Downey Jr. Learn more about your ad choices. 00:00:00 – Ryan is the only one drinking alcohol this week. That's probably the sign of a dependency issue, but he'd argue the Paleoposse depend on great content and that he's just stepping up. 00:05:44 – There are holes in the Milky Way. Listener Angella Beshara is relying on the Paleopals to get to the bottom of it! Only Ryan stands in the way with his usual nonsensical sidebars. 00:15:41 – Beavers have been industrious up in the great wet north, but we have our eye on them… from space! Then Ben goes off on many tangents about Canadian history, because who would know if he didn't tell us? They certainly don't teach us about it in school. 00:30:11 – T-cubed this week is talking about the “documentary” Cropsey. What if the boogie man was real? Scary! What if he was from Staten Island? Well, none of us grew up there, so significantly less scary. And maybe fake. You decide! 00:44:29 – PaleoPOW is a doozy this week as the Paleopals celebrate a milestone, answer tough question from Charles Kressbach about The Flash without the aid of Tom Katers, and finally get inspired for new topics by Jaqueline F. Get more great content from us at http://www.sciencesortof.com/ Music for this week's show: Reasons to Quit - Phosphorescent Holes to Heaven – Jack Johnson O Canada – Celine Dion Drinking at the Dam - Smog The Kids Don't Stand a Chance – Vampire Weekend
May 16 2010 - It's one for the ages here folks, as Conor is still on vacation and Tom Katers joins Ron and Josh to tackle the tremendously large stack of comics for the past week, including the end to The Sentry saga which also may be the worst comic book printed, ever. We're not kidding here folks, this is one to remember. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices
Tom Katers, of Tom vs. the Flash, Tom vs. the JLA, Around Comics and iFanboy, joins us for the whole episode as we talk about D&D, Miley Cyrus, Silver Age comics, and well…anything else that comes up. This guy knows what I’m talkin’ about, right?
April 18, 2010 - With Conor supposedly en route to some or other comic convention, we learn once more than Tom Katers wasn't doing anything, and was free to join Josh and Ron to talk about this week's books, which is apropos, since he's kinda got a thing for Flash comics. Get out your checklists, or don't if that's your thing, but there are a lot of comics to cover here! Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices
April 11, 2010 - Hey, they're back! After handing off the show to the writers, Josh Flanagan, Ron Richards, and Conor Kilpatrick have returned in the first heat-influenced show of the year! Plus, the language gets super salty when discussing one particular book, Conor reveals the uncomfortable origins of his Power Pack problem and Josh still has a Tom Katers complex. Coming up with real themes every week is hard. 00:00:00 - The Paleopals bring the excitement this week and we also have a recipe to share. Charlie's Tequila... sort of: In one tumbler glass put 3 ice cubes, 2 squeezed limes, 2 shots of tequila & a pour of soda water. Enjoy! 00:08:06 - If alcohol isn't your thing try a magnet to the brain for impaired judgment. Ryan explains why psychiatrists shouldn't write horror stories. 00:21:22 - If the Paleopals want to wear tights while recording that's a personal choice and frankly none of your business, but Trailer Trash Talk is everyone business and this week we're talking Robin Hood! 00:37:35 - Alligators don't breathe often but when they do they're kind of single-minded about it. Patrick will make that make sense. 00:51:55 - PalePOW brings in a ringer for some added expertise. Welcome to Tom Katers of the awesome podcast Tom vs. The Flash to talk science and comics! Go listen to Tom: http://tomvsflash.blogspot.com/ Go listen to us again (once is never enough): http://www.sciencesortof.com/ Music this week provided by: Another Day - MEST Another State of Mind - Green Day The Bare Necessities - Phil Harris and Bruce Reitherman Breathing - Yellowcard

March 7, 2010 - Josh Flanagan is back! And boy his arms are tired. His arms, and everything else. He joins Ron Richards and Conor Kilpatrick to talk about this week's comics, get really touchy about the whole Tom Katers lovefest, and possibly fall asleep during the show. February 28, 2010 - With Josh Flanagan still out on paternity leave, Tom Katers returns to join Conor Kilpatrick and Ron Richards to discuss the new comics of the week, drug dependency, alcohol abuse, and the ways that Atlantians show affection. August 16, 2009 - Conor's still off gallivanting around God knows where, so we've got to fill in somehow, and luckily, there was a stray podcaster by the name of Tom Katers who happened to be hanging around, so we pulled him him. Ron and Josh agree on almost nothing this episode, and Tom just wants more gorillas with rifles. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices
