He emphasizes the importance of prudently navigating social media, understanding the dynamics of tribalism and echo chambers, and the necessity of community and belonging in both online and offline spaces. Chase encourages Christians to curate their online experiences and engage meaningfully, while also recognizing the potential pitfalls of online interactions.Support the showSign up for the Patreon - https://www.patreon.com/chasedavisFollow Full Proof Theology on Instagram - https://www.instagram.com/fullprooftheology/Follow Full Proof Theology on Facebook - https://www.facebook.com/fullprooftheology/

Discussion Questions Read Acts 17:11–32 • • • How can we balance living out the gospel versus explicitly proclaiming it? What situations might call for a more explicit proclamation of the gospel message? Have you or others you know felt a pressure to create or adopt a "single, one-size-fits-all gospel presentation that should be used everywhere"? What is the appeal of this? What are the risks? Consider a recent conversation you had about your faith. What elements of Paul's approach could you have applied in that conversation?
Pathfinder Church | October 29, 2023 | Doug MaussIn what ways should Christians be different from the culture around them? Often, a Christian life looks the same as any other American life—we work the same jobs, share the same hobbies and interests, and spend our money on the same things. On the other hand, when Christians completely reject our culture, we look intolerant, mean, irrelevant, and unappealing. What is the balance Christians can—and should—strike, when it comes to living “set apart” in this world?Website | https://pathfinderstl.orgOnline Giving | https://pathfinderstl.org/givePodcasts | https://pathfinderstl.org/podcastsFacebook | https://facebook.com/pathfinderstlInstagram | https://instagram.com/pathfinderstlSt. John School | https://stjls.orgContact Us | churchinfo@pathfinderstl.org
Talking Faith Without Fighting: How to Be a Winsome Witness Sharing one's faith is becoming more and more difficult as our culture moves away from its traditionally religious roots. Passionate discussions can sometimes lead to angry words or hurt feelings. But this isn't the way we should spread the Gospel; it's unloving and ineffective, too. In this talk, Lenny offers some specific tactics in sharing the Christian faith so you may present the truth in a loving, attractive, and effective manner.

In this episode, I explore the cultural engagement model of Russell Moore by describing my appreciation and concern over his approach. Russell Moore is currently the editor in chief at Christianity Today. He was the director of Christianity Today's Public Theology Project. Before that, he was the President of Ethics and Religious Liberty Commission (ERLC) of the Southern Baptist Convention. He has also served as the provost and dean at the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. The winsomeness strategy of cultural engagement has received widespread criticism for being an insufficient strategy to meet the time. Unfortunately, the critique of the strategy has largely fell on deaf ears to the biggest advocates of the winsome paradigm. I close out this episode showing how much of the winsome witness crowd behaves like fundamentalists. Pastor Ernie concludes the Winsome Witness series by sharing with us the great news that all cultures are part of God's redemptive plan, that Jesus' Gospel is for everyone. Then he encourages us not to get caught up in our own cultural understanding of the gospel, but to hold onto the truth of who Jesus is and what he has done for us. We need to be welcoming of all cultures and seek to share the good news in culturally appropriate ways. For more information on the Evangelical Fellowship Church in Steinbach, MB, visit efchurch.ca.
A new MP3 sermon from All Saints Reformed Presbyterian Church is now available on SermonAudio with the following details: Title: The Church's Call of Duty (Persevering Prayer and Winsome Witness) Subtitle: Book of Colossians Speaker: Dennis Bullock Broadcaster: All Saints Reformed Presbyterian Church Event: Sunday Service Date: 7/10/2022 Bible: Colossians 4:2-6 Length: 43 min.
Pastor Ernie continues the Winsome Witness series by talking about the story of the Good Samaritan. Pastor Ernie shares an equation for our social responsibility. The urgency of the need plus your proximity to the need plus your ability or resources to meet the need equal responsibility. If you see a need near you that is urgent and you have what is needed to help, you have a responsibility to be a part of offering help and assistance. Pastor Ernie continues the Winsome Witness series by showing us that our role as followers of Jesus is to authentically care for and love our neighbours. It is not about having targets and projects, but rather building real friendships. In those friendships we can model our love for Jesus and trust that the the power of the Holy Spirit will reveal the truth about Jesus and the transformation that He brings. Pastor Ernie continues the Winsome Witness series by looking at the what it takes for us to surrender ourselves for the sake of living in a way that demonstrates the love of Jesus to others. Romans 12 & 13 are used to demonstrate the way that love for others is a key component of winsome living. Pastor Ernie continues the Winsome Witness series by sharing with us what it looks like to follow Paul's lead and become "all things, to all people, to win some" For more information on the Evangelical Fellowship Church in Steinbach, MB, visit efchurch.ca.
Pastor Ernie begins a new series by inviting us to examine our life and words to see if the way we speak and live represents the character and teachings of Jesus. Our life is what will prove the change that has happened in our hearts. For more information on the Evangelical Fellowship Church in Steinbach, MB, visit efchurch.ca.

Blasphemy Warning! On today's Free-for-All Friday Jay and George are discussing Timothy Keller's assessment of Stephen Colbert and his faith. What do the guys think about Colbert's "brilliant" witness? They also talk about modesty, Christians and social media, and the President's recent good news. Conformed to Christ aims to engage the mind, affect the heart, and call people to follow Christ. Additionally, our aim is to introduce and explain passages of Scripture and difficult theological doctrines in a down-to-earth and easy-to-grasp manner. Theology and the Bible should impact your life and our goal is that we might play a small part in seeing that happen. ***Be sure to subscribe on iTunes, Google Podcasts, Spotify, or Podbean*** iTunes: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/conformed-to-christ/id1503247486 Google Podcasts: https://podcasts.google.com/feed/aHR0cHM6Ly9mZWVkLnBvZGJlYW4uY29tL2NvbmZvcm1lZHRvY2hyaXN0L2ZlZWQueG1s Spotify: https://open.spotify.com/show/5YruCZu4hla6Ll3rBu7UPY Podbean: https://conformedtochrist.podbean.com/

Referring to Himself as the vine, and you and me as the branches, Jesus said, “This is to My Father’s glory, that you bear much fruit.” The fruit includes our outlook, our actions and our attitudes. These give evidence to the rest of the world of God’s work in our lives. But consider for a moment any number of factors that can challenge that.
We all notice the brokenness around us. We live in a world with divided relationships and people “warring” against one another. In this message, Ed Stetzer shares four biblical principles for how we, as followers of Jesus, can be a winsome witness in a warring world.

3rd Quarter 2020 "Making Friends For God"
Perry and Shawna welcome Tyler Ellis to the show. Tyler is an author, speaker and messenger of Jesus who is probably the only person to share the gospel in a Ted Talk (Search “Finding meaning in daily acts of good” on You Tube). Tyler had coffee conversations with 50 people and asked each person 20 questions to get at their core spiritual beliefs. In our first conversation with Tyler he shares the story of how he got the idea for his approach to sharing the gospel. (It was a conversation with an atheist at a wedding). Then most of the people he interviewed said that we have to earn our way to heaven. Find out why this belief can help us in sharing the good news with people from any worldview or religion. Next, Christians he interviewed also said we have to earn our way to heaven! And this is a reality check for you and me to keep the gospel of grace central! And finally we talk about how asking inviting questions in the context of friendship can empower us to see many people come into God’s family. By the way, of the 50 people he interviewed, 12 became followers of Jesus. Become more of a winsome witness! btylerellis.com Share this to help others become more winsome in witness.

Jesus instructs His followers to and tell the entire world about Him and His good news. In this message from Colossians 4:2-6 Pastor Bill talks about how we can be a winsome witness to our community and beyond as we obey Jesus in this area.
As we near the end of Colossians, Paul exhorts the church to relate to those outside the grace of Jesus Christ by living wisely, speaking graciously, and listening carefully.
