Wrestlemania 30, live from New Orleans.. The Notorious One, Strap Facts, & BDC were all in attendance. This is considered one of the greatest Wrestlemanias of all time. We discuss #HulkHogan #stonecoldsteveaustin and #therock kicking off the show. How iconic is that? #CMPunk took his ball and went home, so it was time for the Yes Movement. The ultimate underdog #DanielBryan had two grueling matches but overcame the odds and became world heavyweight champion by the end of the night defeating the animal #batista and the viper #randyorton. We break down The #undertaker streak. #brocklesnar conquered the streak. Was he the right GUY to do so? What an epic show! RIP #braywyatt & #brodielee

On this episode of the Noobs and Knockouts Podcast, we finally reach the end of the Yes Movement, on the grandest stage of them all, WrestleMania XXX! Can Daniel Bryan overcome all of Evolution and reach his dreams? Can Brock Lesnar do the unthinkable and break the Streak? Can Bray Wyatt destroy John Cena's legacy? Won't you join us?
On this episode of the Noobs and Knockouts Podcast, we return to 2014 as the road to WrestleMania XXX soon will reach its conclusion. Daniel Bryan's YES Movement worked and he has his path to the main event, but all actions have consequences, and HHH is FED UP. This episode of Raw ended in a ten minute snuff film. Also on this episode, John Cena believes, Bray Wyatt seeks to destroy John Cena's legacy, Austin researches women's wrestling statistics, The Shield finally (sort of) turn babyface, and both co-hosts feel the slog of three hour Raws. Won't you join us?
Gavin Napier and Mark Radulich share their memories of the late, great WWE Superstar, The Ultimate Warrior! Warrior died on April 8, 2014, at the age of 54 in Scottsdale, Arizona. On the preceding three nights in New Orleans, he had been inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame, appeared at WrestleMania XXX and made his final public appearance on Monday Night Raw, returning to the promotion after an acrimonious separation in 1996.This episode originally aired on 4/9/14 one day after he passed away. On this episode of the Noobs and Knockouts podcast, we return to 2014 where Daniel Bryan is seeking his path to WrestleMania XXX, and he will not be silenced! The show will not proceed as planned until he gets what he wants, until the PEOPLE get what they want! It's time for the largest occupied protest in wrestling history, it's time to OCCUPY RAW. Also on this episode, Bray Wyatt gets TWO promos, John Cena sucks up to Hulk Hogan and verbally buries Bray Wyatt, Hulk Hogan makes a new match for WrestleMania, Paul Heyman and the Undertaker come face-to-face, we do a deep dive into Jerry Lawler's mayoral campaigns, AJ Lee keeps taking L's, the Real Americans are imploding, and more! Won't you join us?
Ryan and Jeff start off the pod by paying tribute to the late, great Iron Sheik. After that, they talk about the first PPV/Network event after WrestleMania XXX, Extreme Rules 2014! This is a good one you won't want to miss.
Worldwide comedy superstar Gabriel Iglesias -- aka Fluffy -- returns to 317 Gimmick Street for a memorable episode of the podcast. Along with fellow comic Jerry Rocha, Steve and the guys talk about Teslas, WrestleMania XXX, kayfabe, life on the Tex-Mex border and so much more. This is a wild one -- you were warned!
On this episode of the Noobs and Knockouts Podcast, Daniel Bryan's Road to WrestleMania XXX begins in earnest as he basically steals the entirety of CM Punk's planned storyline against HHH. The YES! Movement has begun! However, it's also the first WWE show in Chicago since CM Punk quit, and let's just say the crowd only has one thing on their minds. Won't you join us?

Today we continue our series of Underdog Tales, highlighting some of the greatest upsets in sports history. This episode, we're doing something a little different, and discussing one of the craziest upsets in the history of pro wrestling: Brock Lesnar's defeat of The Undertaker at Wrestlemania XXX! Joining us to share his expertise is podcaster and former WWE writer, Dave Schilling. Succinctly describing who The Undertaker is... well, that's a difficult task. Whether he's an undead zombie, a gothic superhero, or a biker dude, he was a legend in the world of wrestling for years and years. Standing at 6'10 and wearing plenty of eyeliner, the Phenom was famous for his finishing move, the Tombstone Piledriver. Starting in 1991, The Undertaker was undefeated in his Wrestlemania matches. 21 times in a row. An achievement known as "The Streak." Then Brock Lesnar showed up. A monster of a man, this former college champion wrestler rose quickly in the WWE, becoming the youngest champion ever, before giving it all up to try playing football. When he returned to the ring, he star once again rose quickly. A clash between the rising star and the legend of yore was inevitable. And so, at Wrestlemania XXX in 2014, things came to a head. And not everyone was happy with how things went down. Listen in to hear what happened.

The Marks (Troy & Greg) were physically in New York City and Brooklyn all week for this show, doing typical touristy stuff and, of course, hardcore figure hunting! SummerSlam 2015 was the biggest SummerSlam ever up to that point and was the first one in YEARS to be outside Los Angeles. The Undertaker came back for revenge on Brock Lesnar...18 months after losing to him at WrestleMania XXX! Also, Seth Rollins duels with John Cena for the US Title and WWE Title! The New Day were heels, running wild on the WWE Tag-Team Division! And does anyone remember that former Daily Show host, Jon Stewart, was the special SummerSlam celebrity host? Besides that, the Marks talk about the news from around that time that involved a major death in the wrestling world, lots of mixing of wrestling and porn during this time, and even a few big stories that involved racism in wrestling.FOLLOW US ON TWITTER & INSTAGRAM: @MainEvent_MarksFOLLOW US ON FACEBOOK: facebook.com/maineventmarkspodEMAIL US AT: maineventmarkspod@gmail.comSEARCH FOR US ON YOUTUBE AT: Main Event Marks--- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/appSupport this podcast: https://anchor.fm/mainevent-marks/support Learn more about your ad choices. Tomorrow (May 19th), I'll be releasing my interview with David Yas, of Pod617 and The Boston Podcast network. We discussed the art of interviewing, and I referenced the one interview I did where I just shut up and let the other person do all the talking - when I interviewed Mick Foley before Wrestlemania XXX in New Orleans. If you followed WWE in the 90's and 2000's, Mick will have you hanging on his every word. I know I was.
Freebird and WWE Hall of Famer, Michael "P. S." Hayes aka Dok Hendrix sits down with Steve over WrestleMania XXX weekend to talk about his career, from Mid-South to Georgia, AWA, NWA and eventually WWE. April 29th, 1999: Our timelines match up perfectly because we're reviewing the 1999 "Smackdown" pilot right before "Smackdown" moves to Fox here in 2019! And for such a historic show, we had to bring in Martin Dixon from The New Blood Rising Podcast and Wrestling In The Clinton Years! Shane McMahon forces bitter rivals "Stone Cold" Steve Austin and The Rock to team up against The Undertaker and Triple-H for a massive main event. However, Shane's surprises don't stop there because he also introduces us to a brand new faction which combines two existing heel stables. X-Pac & Kane put their WWF Tag Team Titles on the line against X-Pac's DX pals The New Age Outlaws. Val Venis is scheduled to face Owen Hart, but instead he has to settle on a replacement....... the returning Blue Blazer. In a legendarily terrible segment, The Brood break their silence for the first time in an interview with Dok Hendrix. Ken Shamrock looks to get some revenge on Bradshaw when he faces him in a Street Fight. Mankind goes head-to-head with The Big Boss Man, and it appears that Mick Foley has some unlikely allies backing him up. D'Lo Brown steps into the ring with Darren Drozdov (and no, thankfully, it's not THAT match). The Big Show goes one-on-one with now-former Corporation member Test, with the highlight of the match being Big Show somehow hitting a dropkick. Enjoying the Podcast? And then we dive into the following night's episode of "Monday Night Raw," which features one of Henry's all-time favorite "Raw" moments! "Backlash 1999" Card: WWF Champion "Stone Cold" Steve Austin vs. The Rock w/special guest referee Shane McMahon Triple-H vs. X-Pac The Undertaker vs. Ken Shamrock Mankind vs. The Big Show in a Boiler Room Brawl WWF Intercontinental Champion The Godfather vs. Goldust WWF Hardcore Champion Hardcore Holly vs. Al Snow The New Age Outlaws vs. Jeff Jarrett & Owen Hart The Acolytes & Mideon vs. The Brood April 26th, 1999 "Monday Night Raw": After kidnapping Stephanie McMahon last night, The Undertaker is forcing Vince McMahon to sign over control of the WWF in order to get her back. But before that can happen, it appears that 'Taker has some plans of his own for Stephanie: marrying her against her will in front of the world! Because The Rock was unsuccessful at regaining the WWF Championship last night, Shane McMahon proceeds to fire him from The Corporation... so Rock challenges him to a match tonight! The dysfunctional team of X-Pac & Kane defend their WWF Tag Team Titles against Gangrel & Edge, but a post-match bloodbath throws things into further disarray. Mankind & The Big Show team up to face Corporation members The Big Boss Man & Test. A frustrated Billy Gunn claims that he will defeat Triple-H tonight because fellow DX member X-Pac couldn't get the job done last night. WWF Intercontinental Champion The Godfather puts his belt on the line against Jeff Jarrett, with an interesting stipulation: if Jarrett loses, Debra must become one of Godfather's hoes. Ken Shamrock is scheduled to face Bradshaw, but Faarooq sees to it that the match never even gets under way. D'Lo Brown steps into the ring with Val Venis, and it appears that Nicole Bass is still after "The Big Valbowski." Plus, we get introduced to two brand new terrible gimmicks: Beaver Cleavage and Meat! Meanwhile over on "Nitro," an increasingly desperate WCW gives us not one, but TWO World Title changes on free TV! Enjoying the Podcast? Solomonster is back with a drunken post-WrestleMania edition of the Sound Off and he brought a few friends along for the ride, including Noah Mark, Bryan Blade and Webmaster Mike of SEScoops.com. The streak is over and Daniel Bryan is the new WWE champion -- yes, this is a newsworthy episode with thoughts on the entire card from top to bottom, plus the Hall of Fame and more. Did I mention we've been doing some drinking? We're live on Bourbon Street for this very special show.
Solomonster and Noah Mark are back for the annual Sound Off WRESTLEMANIA PREDICTION SHOW, live on Bourbon Street in New Orleans! The boys attended a listener's Norwegian wedding and interviewed the bride and groom post-nuptials, then get down to business and run down the WrestleMania XXX card from top to bottom including Daniel Bryan's chances of leaving with the WWE Title, the tag title match being relegated to the pre-show (which international fans may not get to see), CM Punk rumors, a fan photographs Randy Orton in a bathroom, Miz as a WWE Hall of Famer, The Walking Dead and more!
Solomonster talks the death of Mae Young, why Lesnar vs. Bryan makes sense for WrestleMania XXX, The Ultimate Warrior going into the Hall of Fame, a personal story from Warrior's days as a college speaker that ended poorly, evidence that Vince McMahon blatantly lied about Warrior holding him up for more money at Summerslam, why TNA Genesis SUCKED and was the exact opposite of what it should have been, Sting possibly leaving for WWE and the WrestleMania match that makes the most sense, The American Wolves debut, what MATCH is rumored for a WWE Hall of Fame induction this year, comparing Daniel Bryan to Steve Austin in popularity, Sid breaks his leg in WCW and explaining the lawsuits that followed, and who is the greatest female talker of all time?
The first Sound Off of the new year has thoughts on Daniel Bryan joining The Wyatt Family and where it's likely going, the return of Brock Lesnar, reviewing last year's WWE/TNA predictions and how accurate they were, and then offering some bold predictions for 2014, including what the future of Impact Wrestling looks like. Solomonster also names three NXT performers likely to get called up this year and three others to keep an eye on, why The American Wolves were not signed by Triple H, news on TNA being homeless and being forced to go back on the road and YOUR IDEAS for where they might be able to go (and my own idea involving Medieval Times), possible ideas for Hulk Hogan at WrestleMania XXX, Undertaker requesting Daniel Bryan as an opponent, Sheamus and Wade Barrett as a tag team, remembering the MONDAY NIGHT SKIRMISH and more.
Solomonster takes WWE to task for the awful job it's done building this year's Survivor Series, discusses DDP putting over his Royal Rumble pitch for Jake Roberts and why it's not too late to make it work, the fantastic finish to Raw on Monday, changes to the Wellness Policy and how it benefits Randy Orton, why Dixie Carter's heel turn just isn't working, TNA does a good job of promoting Turning Point, pitching a role for Hulk Hogan at WrestleMania XXX, answering a listener question about Bam Bam Bigelow in the Hall of Fame and inadvertently making a case for THE MIZ to one day be inducted as well, why Shawn Michaels may not have been a strong draw in 1996, an in-depth look at the Arn Anderson/Sid Vicious scissors incident in Europe, the Battle Royal that Randy Savage held a grudge over until his death and more.
