God became a real human being. He breathed our air. He walked our roads. He knew what it was like to be tired, hungry, joyful, and sad. God didn't stay far away. He came close. He made His dwelling among us. The phrase means to pitch a tent. It echoes the tabernacle in the wilderness, where God lived among His people and met with Moses face to face. What the tent pointed to has now arrived. God has chosen to live with His people again, not in a place, but in a person. If we want to know what God is like, we look at Jesus.

Despite the Astros' loss, Lance McCullers Jr.'s outing was a reason for optimism.

Taijuan Walker pitched well in last night's loss to the Washington Nationals, but it was a costly error from Philadelphia Phillies first baseman, Bryce Harper, that doomed Walker's start and handed him the loss. The Phillies take two of three from the Nationals and have won two straight series. Now, Corbin Carroll and the Arizona Diamondbacks come to town for a 3-game weekend series. Dukes and Bell get into the Daily Download and react to the Braves 8-4 win over the Blue jays and agree it was good to see their batters get after Toronto's Easton Lucas early as well as Grant Holmes being able to go deep in innings pitched to help the bullpen. They share a few more thoughts on the Hawks play-in matchup with Orlando and react to Quin Snyder's comments on how the Hawks will deal with the size advantage the Magic have. The guys show some love to the Atlanta Dream as well as they selected Te-Hina Paopao out of South Carolina and encourage Dream fans to get their tickets now as they believe the team is trending the right way.
