A Superbloom is a rare botanical phenomenon that is associated with an unusually wet, and rainy season. After the rainstorms, seeds of wildflowers that have lain dormant in desert soil begin to germinate and blossom all at once into a beautiful and magnificent superbloom.  This is what our host, Candice King, wants. Life has felt like one rainstorm after another and now, after laying dormant for a bit, I’m ready for a superbloom. On A Superbloom Podcast host, Candice King is asking others who’ve experienced their own roadblocks, grief, or tough times to share in how their experiences went on to feed their souls. To talk about the events and passions in their life that allowed them to grow and superbloom into their next chapter. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
The A Superbloom Podcast is an incredible podcast that I stumbled upon recently and it has quickly become one of my favorites. Hosted by Candice King, this podcast offers a safe space for listeners to engage in candid conversations about life, personal experiences, and self-growth. Whether it's through insightful interviews with inspiring women or intimate solo episodes, Candice brings warmth, authenticity, and a relatable charm to each episode.
One of the best aspects of this podcast is the raw vulnerability that can be felt throughout each conversation. Candice and her guests dive deep into topics that many of us may struggle with but are often afraid to discuss openly. From mental health challenges to career transitions, relationships, and personal growth, the discussions on this podcast feel real and honest. It's refreshing to hear relatable stories and gain valuable insights from people who have gone through similar experiences.
Another standout aspect of The A Superbloom Podcast is Candice's ability to create a sense of community among her listeners. Through her warm and engaging demeanor, she makes you feel like you're having a conversation with a close friend. She shares personal anecdotes, laughs, cries, and imparts wisdom in a way that makes you feel seen and understood. It's comforting to have a podcast host who feels relatable and approachable, someone you can turn to for advice or simply a listening ear.
While it's difficult to find any major faults in this podcast, if there was one downside it would be the limited diversity among the guests. While the conversations are still incredibly valuable and relatable regardless of background or identity, it would be great to see more diverse voices represented on the show. This could help broaden perspectives even further and make even more listeners feel seen and included.
In conclusion, The A Superbloom Podcast is a must-listen for anyone seeking genuine conversations about life's ups and downs. With its relatable content, heartfelt discussions, and a host who feels like a friend, this podcast has quickly become an essential part of many listeners' routines. Candice's ability to create a safe space and impart valuable insights makes this podcast a true gem. Whether you're going through a tough time or simply looking for inspiration and connection, The A Superbloom Podcast delivers it all.

Candice is joined by advocate and Democratic Candidate for Tennessee's District 75, Allie Phillips, to give vital context to her current campaign and share her lived experience that brought her to politics. Allie always dreamt of being a mother and she was blessed with her first daughter, Adalie. She was equally ecstatic when she became pregnant with her second daughter, Miley. But things took a sudden turn for the worst when at 19-weeks pregnant, Allie was told she had an nonviable fetus; Miley's organs unfortunately didn't develop correctly and the longer Allie stayed pregnant, the more at risk they both were. However, due to Tennessee's anti-abortion laws, Allie was not allowed medical care or guidance by her home state doctors to terminate her pregnancy. With no time to even properly grieve, Allie had to seek help and support through her online community which brought her to a clinic in New York where she learned Miley had already passed in her womb. After being put into the lowest of lows, Allie vows to be the same pillar of support and understanding that she had from those both near and far around her. Candice is joined by a licensed psychoanalyst and author, Dr. Robin Stern, to break down the concept of gaslighting. At this point, we've all heard the word thrown out one way or the other - it was Webster Dictionary's Word of the Year in 2022 after all. But do we actually understand what it means and where the word even comes from? Dr. Robin Stern not only has been researching this manipulation tactic for decades but has unfortunately even lived it herself, making her a real expert in the matter. In this discussion, Candice and Dr. Stern explore the ways in which we can refind our loss of self-trust and detect the warning signs that we may be being gaslit before we're in far too deep.
