Listen, it's Friday the 13th. We know. The podcast has reverted to it's idiosyncratic ways.  On a podcast recorded nearly a week ago, Sam and DC3 opine on basically anything but the travesty that was the Gamecocks' offensive performance Saturday night against the Texas A&M Aggies. Apart from the abysmal showing for the Garnet and Black (or white), the week was actually pretty interesting. From Virginia Tech and Kansas State to Rutgers and a bunch of laterals to Georgia imploding, and everything in between. College Football was kinda fun last week. May we hope that this weekend brings the same intrigue and excitement.  There are winners and losers, there is a discussion about a 'proper tailgate spread' that includes very questionable fried chicken takes a Zesto's shoutout, and a formal apology to the wonderful kicker that we do not deserve. Thank you for your service, Parker White.  We preview the Ole Miss game, too. Which will be weird.  Drive Safe Go Cocks Tip Your Waitress

Hey there, South Carolina Gamecocks sports fans! Sports are good and entertaining sometimes. Saturday was not one of those times. Despite a fairly simple victory against a lackadasical Vanderbilt Commodores team, the boys in Garnet were less than promising under the lights in Nashville. What a better way to celebrate a [meh] WIN against a conference opponent than to do what we do best: talk a bunch about other stuff. Like how ridiculously bad NFL quarterbacks are, but that actually might reveal a larger conspiracy to protect the ridiculous guaranteed contracts for starters so the GM's don't look like total morons. Or how super cool an undefeated Dartmouth is. Or how godawful Syracuse's defense is.  We've got winners, losers, a really interesting game recap, including but not limited to thoughts on how Bryan Edwards doesn't deserve the plays we call, #FREEDAKJOYNER is about to be a thing, and [again] the refs screwed us out of a touchdown. We also [deep breath] look forward to the game against a frightening App State team with a really great offensively-minded coach.  We hope y'all enjoy the show. Life is all about seasons...   ...it's becoming pretty clear that this is NOT the season of the Gamecock.   LIsten, Saturday's collapse against the Tennessee Volunteers may have been gut-wrenching. Demoralizing, even. Yes. The Gamecocks allowed the creamsicle mafia to move the ball virtually at will throughout the second half. Yes, the Gamecocks allowed a blocked punt for a scoop and score. Yes, the Gamecocks offense looked like it had the flu for the majority of the game. Yes, the Gamecocks got [feigns Steve Spurrier voice] whalloped on Saturday.  LET'S PODCAST. The Three Amigos are back together once again for the latest installment of the only South Carolina Gamecocks podcast on the internet. And don't worry. We're here to help you with what ails you. Mainly we're here to talk about other stuff that happened last week and to look ahead to the fact that bouncyhoops season is quickly approaching. Also, good football names are just the best. Also, PJ Fleck is a crazy person and we can appreciate that. Also, Texas Tech might've pooped the bed. Also, Notre Dame definitely did. Also, Wofford might be the best football team in South Carolina. Don't judge us. Yeah, we could talk about how Wisconsin is suddenly a smoldering pile of tires. Yeah, we could talk for hours about how BMac should probably start updating his LinkedIn profile. Yeah, we could talk about how Greg Sankey is a total wimp. Instead, we talk about our reasonable expectations for the Gamecocks' Basketball program. We're not going to beat a dead horse. Things were looking good last weekend against the Florida Gators, until things got sloppier than the weather in Williams-Brice. Unless you 've been recently abducted by aliens you are aware that the South Carolina Gamecocks upended the Georgia Bulldogs on Saturday. In Sanford Stadium. Bushes were pruned. We're awaiting word on whether the invasive species that wraps Dooley Field is expected to survive. That being said, winners and losers this week are pretty focused on the showdown in Athens. From the unidentified player found running around with the Gamecock flag post-game, to a post-mortem analysis of UGA Football's Twitter account (update: they're acting like nothing happened.). We also dive into the x's and o's of the game: including the defense's commendable performance despite being on the field for 95 PLAYS. Also, DID YOU KNOW, that the more Jake Fromm throws the ball, the less likely UGA is to win the game? Well, now you do. And to add fuel to the fire, DC3's chaos theory for a path for the Gamecocks to a NY6 bowl game is still alive. We also know that while last week was fun, this week finds yet another stern test in a (formerly) top ten team, the Florida Gators. The Gamecocks tip off at Noon (again), but this time at WillyB. It's State Fair week, so you know something truly weird and wacky will happen. The guys try to decide what on earth to expect against Dan Mullen's pretty dang productive offense (that sounds weird to say), and do their best to predict what will happen this weekend. There's all that plus uniform predictions, x-factor players of the week, and your favorite new segment, 'One Pressing Question'. Hey there, sports fans!   The South Carolina Gamecocks spent the last 168 hours trying to battle the daunting invisible opponent known as ‘bye week’, and have arrived at the other side (mostly) unscathed. This is a good thing, because the team travels to Athens this weekend to face off against a top-five Georgia Bulldogs squad that looks mighty terrifying. That’s not gonna stop us from making ‘Jake Fromm State Farm’ jokes. Or more ‘Major League’ references. You get what you pay for. Just because because there wasn’t a game played in WillyB last weekend, it doesn’t mean it wasn’t an action-packed weekend FULL of winners and losers: DC3 injured himself in a remarkably dad way. An announcer made the most deadpan hail mary call ever. A D-3 team is beating its opponents so bad they got an invitation to jump straight into FCS. The Gamecocks have exactly one quality soccer program and that’s fine. Apparently SMU is also back. We also (with a fair amount of dread) look ahead to the impending matchup with UGA. Including our keys to the game, the folks we need to have show up in order to have a chance, and our best attempt at final score predictions. There’s also your favorite new segment: ‘One Pressing Question’, in which we pose the age old query: “If you could change one game in Carolina history, which one would it be??” Which, in true GABACast fashion, turns into a conversation about Blake Mitchell and how everything always relates back to Baylor.   We hope you enjoy the show!   Please click here to find us on iTunes,

We try and really think about why we're mad at Steve Spurrier (like WE USED TO ACTUALLY PLAY THIS VIDEO BEFORE GAMES Y'ALL). There's a little recap of the end of the baseball and basketball seasons. No we don't talk about Tennis, but we do talk about cornhole. We also try and offer a little offseason perspective on where both programs are heading (SPOILER: we do not want to fire anyone). We also try and give some thoughts on football recruiting, our best and worst case scenario hypotheticals, and we even talk about (maybe a little prematurely) the Gamecocks chances at an SEC title. That's not a joke. We actually talk about the football team winning a title. In July. Whatever. Bear with us. It's been a while. We hope you enjoy the show. We go a little off the rails, but that's what you people pay for anyways.    Thanks for listening! See you in two weeks!   DSGCTYW   -DC3

Good morning! Full disclosure, this podcast was not uploaded in a timely manner. You're already used to that sort of thing. There have been some new South Carolina Gamecock sports moments since then, including another men's basketball victory over a ranked opponent, Ty'son Williams' decision to enter the #TRANSFERPORTAL, baseball stuff, and an impressive showing by Deebo Samuel in Senior Bowl prep. Whatever, we're the only Gamecock sports podcast in existence so time is relative to us anyways.  Moving along. We hope you enjoy the latest episode of the show, which includes, but is not limited to:  if you were a zoo animal, what would it be?what would you put in your dream football ops center?thoughts on Thomas Brown and John Scott, Jr. basketball and the sunday scaries. All that, and much, much, more!   We appreciate you all. Hope you enjoy the show.

Hope everyone had a stupendous Christmas/Hannukah/New Year/whatever, and you didn’t have to endure watching the Belk Bowl or the National Championship game or basically anything football related for the past month. Sports are dumb. We love them, but they’re dumb. We are so excited to be back from our long hiatus so you can continue to consume the content that you faithful fans have come to know, love, and expect from us on a regular basis. EXCEPT: this time we have to welcome a new member of the podcast crew. Shout-out to our new podcast editor and creative contributor [name redacted]. You know who you are and we hope y’all enjoy the fact that DC3 has been relieved of his editing duties. On to the football, we do, in fact cover a bunch of football (spoiler we recorded before the Clemson Tigers sunk the Alabama Crimson Tide’s battleship), including our winners and losers from bowl season, our takes on the demoralizing loss to the Virginia Cavvalies (still like you, @BelkBowl), and our review of the football season overall. DC3 is skeptical, Alex is hopeful, and Sam thinks we might beat Alabama but still go 7-5. We also run through a cavalcade of off-topic topics including, ‘was Dabo’s Swinney’s tumbleweed encounter a false flag operation?’, ‘is Will Muschamp too concerned with recruiting?’, ‘sitting out a bowl game is a really stupid thing’, Mario Kart is not a game, and so much more!!!]] We really appreciate y’all stopping in. We love each and every one of you and hope you enjoy the show!

Well, the South Carolina Gamecocks lost a very wild, weird game against the Clemson Tigers this past Saturday. The Gamecocks were out-manned, literally and figuratively, but played a much more competitive game than the scoreline indicated. Some exceptionally pedestrian play inside the redzone and a few gaffes in crucial third (and fourth) down situations ultimately sealed their fate, but not before Carolina’s offense hauled off for 600 yards of offense, led by a career performance from Jake Bentley. This podcast does not condone ever losing to Clemson in any capacity but there were some positive takeaways from Saturday night’s game. We go in depth on our takes from the Palmetto Bowl, but we also run through the rest of rivalry week to determine our winners and losers. Some highlights: why would anyone ever fight Kevin Faulk?Kendrick Rogers ridiculous catch against LSU.nobody played defense yesterday, not even Michigan. The FCS playoff is better.Les Miles to Kansas is actually good? We also do our best to preview this weekend’s final game against the Akron Zips, including our crystal game balls and our uniform predictions for the matchup, which will take place at Noon, and will be on SEC Network. You can checkout a little preview here if you’d like. As always, thank you for listening. If you have half as much fun listening as we did recording, then we had twice as much fun as you.

Despite being up 17 points in the third quarter, the University of South Carolina Gamecocks found a very creative/depressing way to lose to the Florida Gators this past Saturday. At the hand of Felipe Franks, Carolina watched a lead evaporate against yet another ranked conference opponent, ultimately falling 35-31. Now, the Gamecocks stand ready to face the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga Mocs this coming Saturday. A win will make the Gamecocks bowl eligible for the third straight year and could set the stage for Will Muschamp to become the winningest South Carolina head football coach at this point in his career, ever. But, what do we make of all of this? The defense lost its mojo, the play-calling got so conservative Pat Buchanan wouldn’t vote for it, and the coaching staff had seemingly no answer for anything.  So...how do the Gamecocks prepare for UTC this weekend, much less the Clemson Tigers in two weeks?  Why don’t we podcast?! In this week’s episode, there are winners, and there are losers (Baylor’s back, DC3 goes on a diatribe, and Sam has HAD IT with Tom Herman). There’s also room to dissect the loss to UF, consider the game against UTC, grade Will Muschamp as a head coach, and answer your Twitter questions to the best of our ability.  It’s not easy but someone has to do it for free. We hope you have half as much fun listening as we did recording.  GO COCKS!

So, the South Carolina Gamecocks and the Ole Miss Rebels temporarily traded places with Big-12 South teams, and somehow came out on top of a shootout in Oxford. That was a fun thing that wasn't stressful or frustrating or confusing in any way.  Also, did you know that you can purchase stamps from a gas station? DC3 did not. In this week's podcast, your favorite triumvirate on the internet's only Gamecock sports podcast available anywhere on the internet tries to pull-apart the win over a high-powered Rebel offense, while still trying to wrap our heads around how the heck that's going to mean anything as Carolina rolls into Gainesville this weekend to square off against the Florida Gators. One thing is for certain: Jordan Ta'amu is legit. So is Deebo Samuel on kickoff returns.Bryan Edwards also might not be human. Parker White is [still] clutch. Okay, so that's four things, but whatever, deal with it. We also roll through our winners and losers of the week (spoiler: the Baylor Bears don't make the cut and DC3 goes off-the-cuff), try our best to predict this week's uniforms, give our crystal gameball predictions, talk about reviving the camo uniforms because (shrug emoji), awkward family Thanksgiving dinners, and a whole lot more.  We hope y'all enjoy listening as much as we do recording. That was a very strange football game.  The South Carolina Gamecocks looked like a toddler trying to eat fettuccini for the first half of football against the Tennessee Volunteers. Then, without much warning, they suddenly turned into a team capable of playing both offense and defense with some degree of competence. Down 21-9, with barely a glimmer of hope on offense and no ability to stop Jarrett Guarantano on third down, the Cocks mounted two lightning fast scoring drives (made possible by some great play from Deebo Samuel, Rico Dowdle, and Ty'Son Williams, as well as an absolute missle of a pass from Jake Bentley to Bryan Edwards), to pull even at 24 points apiece. Then, the defense decided to join in on the fun, holding the Vols scoreless for the remainder of the game. Ultimately, a Parker White field goal put Carolina on top, 27-24, completing a very weird comeback that keeps the Gamecocks alive for the postseason. The team travels to Oxford this weekend to face off against the Ole Miss Rebels in a brunch-time kickoff over on SEC Network. In this week's podcast, we doll out our traditional winners and losers (looking at you, Baylor Bears), as well as some new contenders (coach fights, fart noises, Willie Taggart's Hot Seat). We also discuss the Gamecocks first trip to The Grove in nearly a decade, providing our expert insight into the matchup (hint: we think that scoring more than them is good), and how weird it must be to play a football game before Noon. We also give our thoughts on uniform combos, lose DC3 to a technical difficulty, find him again, and lose him again just before fielding your Twitter questions.  We hope you all enjoy listening as much as we do recording. First, there was BLOOD WEEK, and then there was last week. Who will lose in ridiculous fashion this week? Can it be Clemson? Please let it be Clemson. Just kidding, it's totally not going to be Clemson. that thing doesn't exist anymore.  Despite this being an off-week for the University of South Carolina Gamecocks, there were plenty of things going on in the college football universe, including that thing where the Purdue Boilermakers turned the Ohio State Buckeyes into pesto. We touch on that, UVA playing in the ACC title game as a 20-point underdog, Mike Leach/Ed Orgeron 2020, and Nebraska's committed fanbase. We also apologize for making each of you watch really not good football games that we all suggested you watch, and we try to save face by previewing the perennial (shrug emoji) game that is USC vs. UT. We discuss everything from the implications of Jarrett Guarantano being injured or not injured or whatever, to the inevitable night game blackout that will literally and figuratively happen in Columbia on Saturday. We also hand out crystal game balls and answer reader/listener questions. Buckle up. Gas Pedal's on the right.    Hope you enjoy!

Let’s face it; we’ve all had bad days at work. Done stupid things, even. Not that we’d tell anyone about them. Moving on. The South Carolina Gamecocks squared off against the Texas A&M Aggies in a weirdly beautiful symphony of stupid miscues sprinkled in with brilliant overtures. Despite holding the ball for more than 41 minutes of game time, they only managed a three-point win after a botched onside kick left our strange new SEC step-brothers the opportunity to screw up the victory formation, which they almost did. This game had everything, but so did the rest of Week Seven. We all talk about that one week that has ALL of the upsets. This was BLOOD WEEK, Y’ALL! Except this week could’ve been so much worse. We talk about our losers (including COACH FIGHTS) and our winners (hint: gumbo is involved), and we even give y’all a glorious dose of the beautiful mess that is Paul Johnson’s band of misfit pirates. Bees. Whatever. Paul Johnson is a treasure. Licking our wounds doesn’t come close to describing this week’s episode: we dive into the rest of the season, and give our honest assessment of where the program is versus the bill of goods we were sold. In any event, the Gamecocks play our dreaded rival BYE WEEK, so, in addition to our usual nonsense, we decided to take a look at the game we’re most interested to watch, since we don’t have to spend all of Saturday breathing into an Allegiant Air issued barf bag. There are some good ones. Hope y’all enjoy. There are some jokes, some bad stories, hopefully some insight, and definitely some TAEKS. We really hope you enjoy and can’t wait to do it again with y’all next week. Thank you!

We will attempt to make this podcast just as weird as the football game that happened this past weekend.  In this week's episode, there are winners (see: Gloria Butler) and there are losers (LOL UFC), but most of all there are thoughts aplenty on the crazy train that is Gamecock Football. Today we celebrate the only football team from South Carolina that is undefeated in 2018. We are celebrating the only way we know how: by publishing the podcast three days late beause DC3's computer suffered an untimely, but very on-brand, demise. So, apologies if we reference a not-yet-to-be-played national title game which was way more fun than we actually predicted it to be on the show. We do, however, discuss our winners and losers of the final week of college football, recap a bowl win over the Michigan Wolverines, provide our way-too-early 2018 predictions, and wax poetic on our new program mascot, Ryan Nanni (affectionately known as @celebrityhottub). He isn't the diplomat we asked for, but he's the one we deserve. We also get into a little bit of Gamecock basketball. Conference play is underway, and things are *actually* not terrible, but they're not super-good either. We dive into the men's and women's performances on the hardwood, and try to figure out if the post-season is a possibility for the men's team. This week is our 100th show! So thank you so very much for listening along as we've attempted to get a little bit better each and every (almost) week, and thanks for letting us describe the goings-on in Gamecock sports in a very mediocre and not at all professional manner.  We really do love y'all.   Drive safe, Go Cocks, Tip your Waitress.
