With the players pressers, Andrew starts by discussing why Spencer Rattler not only more comfortable than ever, but why he looks ready to get out and play football in Williams-Brice. He also looks at comments made by Antwane Wells Jr. and Cam Smith and talks about why there seems to be both a strong sense of confidence and overall different vibe with this years team. Andrew then breaks down Georgia States offense, going over why their scheme is a complete mesh of modern day college football offenses, including spread alignments, pre-snap motion and a lot of option in the running game. Lastly, he covers the panthers defense explaining why their alignment can cause such confusion for an offensive front, how they try to force QBs into making mistakes and how they work around their deficiencies in terms of size and overall strength! With a 38-3 win in Williams-Brice over the weekend the Clemson Tigers extended their win streak to 6 in their rivalry with South Carolina which has become somewhat of an afterthought given that the Tigers are now one win away from securing a 5th straight berth in the College Football Playoff. With the victory Clemson remained at #3 behind Ohio State and LSU in the penultimate playoff rankings as we head into conference championship weekend. In this ep we “rant” about the rankings, weak schedules, good wins and bad losses and make our predictions as to what the final field may look like come Sunday (2:46). We then reflect on the win over South Carolina as the Tigers continue to prove that they have one of the best offensive (29:32) and defensive (41:29) units in the country. We wrap with a lookahead to the upcoming ACC Championship game against the #23 Virginia Cavaliers in what looks to be Clemson’s toughest test of the year (55:36), not that that’s saying much... :shrug_emoji: Enjoy and Go Tigers!!!
We're not going to beat a dead horse. Things were looking good last weekend against the Florida Gators, until things got sloppier than the weather in Williams-Brice. Instead of a second consecutive victory over a top ten opponent, the good guys came away with a rather disappointing loss. That being said, we soldiered on. Nobody had a voice for a few days, so this week you get a #FRIDAY episode of the only South Carolina Gamecocks podcast available on the internet. That being said, today's episode is a little short, but it's still full of the usual nonsense you have come to expect from us. We try to pick apart last week's game, and shed some sort of positivity on a frustrating game. We also set our eyes on tomorrow's matchup against the Tennessee Volunteers, including uniform predictions (WHICH SPOILER ALERT WE GOT THEM RIGHT), XFactor players, and our best attempt at a score prediction. We hope you enjoy the show! Click here to find us on iTunes, where you should subscribe, rate, and review. Or you can just mash the play button. DSGCTYW

This video is sponsored by TD Alabama Magazine https://tdalabamamag.com/#RollTide#SpursUp#WagerTalk#CollegeFootballAlabama Crimson Tide vs South Carolina Gamecocks PredictionsNo need to remind Nick Saban what happened the last time he visited Williams-Brice, when Bama lost in 2010. But big difference on the SC sideline, as it was Steve Spurrier calling the shots nine years ago, and Saban has never lost a game to one of his former aides like Gamecock HC Will Muschamp. SC chances might have been better before QB Bentley was lost for season with foot injury, and frosh Hilinski not facing Charleston Southern this week. Your favorite triumvirate of takesmiths is back to help you push through the final month of summer. Y’all, FOOTBALL IS ALMOST HERE! We can do this. On this week’s show, we dig into our grab bag of lukewarm tricks to catch up on things in the world of sports since our last podcast. We talk a little World Cup, a little Braves and MLB action, and Sam even lets DC3 talk golf for a second. We also dive into the Gamecocks, including our post-season thoughts on the baseball team, including our assessment of Mark Kingston’s first official season at the helm. We look ahead to the football season, and discuss what we’re most excited to see when the Gamecock Football team takes the field at Williams-Brice stadium in just over a month. We enjoyed getting the band back together and we hope you enjoy the episode. Stay tuned as we look forward to getting back into a regular posting schedule as the season rapidly approaches. Next week, we’ll dive into some x’s and o’s on the offensive side of the ball, and NEW GUEST APPEARANCES. Buckle up. We’re getting ready to mash the gas on the 2018 football season.
Why did the chicken cross the road? To head home at halftime... The Clemson Tigers marched into battle Saturday night under a hail of coke bottles, water bottles and mini-bottles Saturday night in Williams-Brice but that was the biggest threat they faced as the Tigers defeathered the Gamecocks on their way to a 34-10 massacre of their arch rival. A flaccid catchphrase was not enough for the impotent Cocks as they've now lost four in a row in the rivalry and have been especially unable to rise to the occasion the last two years in suffering humiliating defeats by failing to perform (too much?). Clemson now turns their attention to the ACC Championship game and a Miami Hurricanes team that suffered their first loss off the season to Pitt on Friday. The two teams will square off this Saturday night in Charlotte in what will be a de facto play-in game for the College Football Playoffs as the Tigers look to keep on rolling and the Canes look to rebound. Enjoy the ep and Go Tigers!!!
