Atlanta Falcons vs. Detroit Lions NFL Pick Prediction 8/12/2022 by Tony T. Falcons at Lions—Atlanta lost all three of their preseason games by an average of double digits. Both teams expected to play starters for at least one quarter. Veteran Marcus Mariota is under center for Atlanta. His backups are rookie Desmon Ridder and Felipe Franks who has thrown only 1 career NFL pass in the regular season.

Tennessee Titans vs. Atlanta Falcons Pick Prediction 8/13/2021 by Tony T. Titans at Falcons—NFL pick is Tennessee Titans at a pick. Arthur Smith takes over as head coach for Atlanta. Falcons have been a terrible bet in the preseason as the team has lost and failed to cover 11 of their past twelve. Matt Ryan doesn't figure to get many snaps in the opener. Backups are AJ McCarron and Felipe Franks. Backing up Ryan Tannehill for Tennessee are Logan Woodside and Matt Barkley. Woodside enters his fourth training camp and Barkley has starting experience in the league. Both are competing for the backup job behind Tannehill. There is a lot to fix with the Falcons as their defense surrendered 400 yards per game last season. Would prefer to go with the more stable team here. Play Tennessee at a pick.
Thomas closes hour one of this Tuesday edition of The Jon Chuckery Show featuring Thomas Mott by getting you ready for the Atlanta Falcons 2021-22 season and training camp by talking all things Atlanta Falcons with David Walker of the Falcholic. Thomas starts things off by asking David what's the number one storyline going into Falcons training camp. David responded by saying “There's a ton.” David also said, “To me the biggest storyline is the trenches.” Walker finishes his thought by saying “There are two open spots at the heart of our offensive line at center and left guard.” Next, Thomas followed up by asking if there's any way Kaleb McGary won't be the week one starter. David responded by saying “Unless something goes horribly, horribly wrong McGary will be the starter. He was inconsistent last season.” David also says, “I think all of these guys will get a fresh look.” Thomas continues by asking David what we should expect from Arthur Smith as far as pre-season plays and playbook goes, and David says “We might get three or four plays to see what he is thinking.” Walker finishes his thought by saying, “We might see Kyle Pitts for like a quarter.” Next, Thomas asks David who he thinks will end up being wide receiver number three on the Falcons depth chart, and if Falcons rookie wide receiver Frank Darby has a shot at that spot. David responds by saying, “I like Darby.” Walker also says, “I think he is a guy who is going to do one thing and do one thing well.” David continues by saying, “I think the guy to look out for is the veteran guy they signed is Tajea Sharp.” Walker finishes his thought by saying, “I think Sharp will be the front guy, but Darby will get some looks during the season.” Thomas then asks David if Felipe Franks has any chance to make the Falcons roster. David responds by saying, “I am actually bullish on Felipe Franks making the roster.” David also says, “I like the potential of Felipe Franks long term.” Walker finishes his thought by saying, “I would love to see Franks during the pre-season, and if he does enough I would love to see him on the roster.” Next, Thomas asks Walker if he thinks Marlon Davidson is the Falcon with the most pressure on himself going into the season. David responds by saying, “I think Davidson is a good pick, but I would go to the secondary and say Kendall Scheffield has the most pressure on him this season. He has shown flashes of his potential but he was so dang inconsistent last year.” Walker finishes his thought by saying, “Scheffield has a lot of pressure on him, and i'll go ahead and throw Isiah Oliver in there too, this is a make or break year for him.” Thomas switches gears and asks David what he thinks about the futures of the New Orleans Saints and the Carolina Panthers. David responds by saying, “If I was a betting man I would not want to bet money on Jameis Winston and Taysum Hill.” Walker continues by saying, “I think their defense will carry them.” David finishes his thought by saying “I'm not betting a lot on these two franchises making any noise this year, but in the future I would go with Carolina.” Finally, Thomas ends things on a light note, and asks Walker what is the most annoying thing about reporters and journalists going into every training camp. Walker says, “Every year without fail, there's the next receiver that's going to be the next Julio or Calvin Ridley.” See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Josh Rosen QB2 In the middle of the podcast recording, the news was announced from Brian Flores himself that the Miami Dolphins would be starting Ryan Fitzpatrick over Josh Rosen in Week 1 against the Baltimore Ravens. The first reaction from our podcasts hosts is one for the ages as all three are huge Dolphins fans and Rosen supporters. Ultimately anything can happen, but our hosts agree that at some time this season. Rosen was the better quarterback during the second half of training camp and going into the pre-season. Rosen will start eventually, and when he does, he will have his chance to show Brian Flores and Chris Grier why there were wrong or why they were ultimately right. Dolphins fans should root for Rosen and hope that they don't have a Dolphins moment and draft Gators QB Felipe Franks next season. Florida Gators vs. Miami Hurricanes instant reaction The Florida Gators and the Miami Hurricanes played in a college gameday Week 0 matchup last weekend. It was a sloppy game, and neither team looked like they wanted to win the game. With turnovers from the Gators that consisted of two critical fumbles and two picks from Felipe Franks. The Hurricanes played redshirt freshman quarterback Jarren Williams, and although sacked 10 times, Williams was decent for the Hurricanes and gave fans a reason to believe for the rest of the year. Our podcast hosts had reason to be fired up as our resident Florida Gators fan Kai'Chien Chisholm and Miami Hurricane lover Eric Wiedeke got into a discussion about the game. This included the gloating from Kai'Chien as his Gators were able to beat the Hurricanes 24-20 in the Week 0 matchup. Questions from the podcast team Are the Miami Hurricanes better than the nation thinks they are? Did the Florida Gators deserve to win the game against the Hurricanes? Should Josh Rosen be the Week 1 starter or is Ryan Fitzpatrick the obvious choice? New to the show? Now, the Gamecocks stand ready to face the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga Mocs this coming Saturday. A win will make the Gamecocks bowl eligible for the third straight year and could set the stage for Will Muschamp to become the winningest South Carolina head football coach at this point in his career, ever. But, what do we make of all of this? The defense lost its mojo, the play-calling got so conservative Pat Buchanan wouldn’t vote for it, and the coaching staff had seemingly no answer for anything. So...how do the Gamecocks prepare for UTC this weekend, much less the Clemson Tigers in two weeks? Why don’t we podcast?! In this week’s episode, there are winners, and there are losers (Baylor’s back, DC3 goes on a diatribe, and Sam has HAD IT with Tom Herman). There’s also room to dissect the loss to UF, consider the game against UTC, grade Will Muschamp as a head coach, and answer your Twitter questions to the best of our ability. It’s not easy but someone has to do it for free. We hope you have half as much fun listening as we did recording. GO COCKS!
The CFB Blitz w/ Ronnie & TKras: Tampa Bay Times Columnist Joey Knight on the USF Bulls, State of the U Blog Manager Cam Underwood on the Canes, & GatorCountry.com's Nick de la Torre on Florida!
This week on the LandryFootball.com podcast Chris gives the LSU vs. Bama post-script, including how the Tide's offensive line has emerged as possibly the best part of this year's team for Nick Saban. Chris also discusses UGA and Auburn and what chances the Tigers may have in Athens. South Carolina and Florida also get Landry's attention, as UF is trying to avoid letting its 2-game slide go any further and that hinges on Felipe Franks continuing to improve. In the ACC, Chris talks Miami and Georgia Tech ahead of Saturday's Coastal division game and also the Clemson - BC game later that night.
GatorCountry.com's Nick de la Torre stopped by to chat with Ronnie and Tom after Florida dropped their depth chart for the season opener, including, Felipe Franks as the QB1!
Part of the reason we watch college football is for the chance that we might see something truly special, and last weekend Felipe Franks and Tyrie Cleveland provided a moment that immediately joins the pantheon of great plays in the history of Florida Football. On this week's show, host Adam Schick discusses the play and looks toward Kentucky with breakout WR Tyrie Cleveland (1:27) and FloridaGators.com Senior Writers Chris Harry & Scott Carter (14:25). Also, Jeff Cardozo chats with Kentucky native and Special Teams Coordinator/TE Coach Greg Nord (33:57). It's getting closer, and closer, and closer!! On Episode 58 Blake and Blase are going to go over the notes they have made for the spring games. Who is the most interesting team for fantasy this year in your opinion? We seem to be torn between, Purdue, Minnesota and USC. We know Will Grier is all the rage (even Blase is on the bandwagon now) Blake seems to think Felipe Franks can step in and be the QB for Florida. QB battles in Alabama and Georgia are kind of surprising knowing they both had talented Freshman starters last season. We also go over the new faces that are replacing the recent NFL draft picks and who you should take in your drafts!Follow us on Twitter!! @BogmanSports, @mrCFF, @lord_blaserDon't Forget to Email us CFF Questions!!
