    The Power of Defining your WHY

    This episode is all about reigniting your excitement about your business again, and it all comes down to one thing: why. Lately, I've been feeling swamped and disconnected, and it's been showing in my work. I haven't been posting on social media as much, and I even skipped a podcast last week. Not good!   So, I spent some time reflecting on why I was feeling this way. I realized that while I love my business and the financial security it brings, it doesn't exactly fill me with fire anymore. What truly gets me excited is this podcast, coaching my clients, and inspiring other entrepreneurs.   That's why, and it's what I want to focus on.   But here's the thing: we all have to do things in our businesses that we don't love. Maybe it's cold calling, or endless admin tasks. The key is to remember why you're doing them in the first place.   Having a clear "why" is powerful. It keeps you going when things get tough and helps you see the bigger picture. It even helps you approach those not-so-fun tasks with a different perspective. For example, I might not love cold calling, but I know it helps me expand my network and find dream homes for my clients, which is a big part of my why. So how do you find your why? In this episode, I will show you how!   Remember, your why is unique to you. Don't compare it to others, and revisit it as you grow and change.     In this episode, I'm digging deeper into the 2nd fundamental:  Follow up. Because a contact sitting in your database is worth ZERO dollars if you are not following up with them. I'll walk you through an overview of the system I use and the 4 steps you can implement to begin the process of deepening relationships today. By implementing these strategies, you can position yourself as their Real Estate Agent for Life. Step 1: Get a Database: Your phone won't cut it.  Step 2: Place all leads - anyone you meet, past and current clients in your database. Step 3: Clean and Organize your database. This cleanup is an investment that pays dividends for years to come. But it will take some time initially. Step 4: Follow-Up System: you need a system to nurture and follow up with every single person in there. Your database is a key to success. My goal for you is to get to a place where you stop spending money on lead generating platforms and services and leverage your database to its highest level. My database has made me 7 figures over and over. So stay focused on the basics – generating leads and consistent follow-up and growing your database now. I've been getting questions about time management, and let's face it, it's a challenge we all grapple with – juggling family, work, clients, and still trying to grow our real estate business. So, what's the key to success in this chaotic real estate world? It's all about mastering your time. But here's the kicker – it's not just about cramming more tasks into your day. It's about being strategic, prioritizing, and allocating your time to maximize productivity and achieve your goals. I break it down into two buckets: life and work. Priority #1? Your life bucket. Now, here's a truth bomb – many of us feel unbalanced because we don't prioritize our lives with as much intention as our work. Take a look at your calendar. Is your vacation time, family time, and personal time on it? If not, join the club – I've been there. I share my game plan for the life bucket – from blocking out vacation time to regular time off, family time, personal time, and, of course, fun time. It's about making these priorities non-negotiable and scheduling them in advance. Once the life bucket is sorted, we move on to the work schedule. I guide you through figuring out your most productive hours, setting clear work hours, and ensuring your calendar reflects the real estate fundamentals – lead generation, follow-ups, appointments, and goal-oriented activities. In wrapping up, I stress the importance of reflecting each category on your schedule. Mastering your schedule is a skill, and I've been there, done that.     Finding your Fun

    In this episode, I share my personal journey of how I rediscovered my FUN time. “Personal time" took a backseat for far too long, and it wasn't until last year that I added the crucial piece and added just - me time - back into my calendar In the middle of 2023 I was facing some tough decisions in my business and I was feeling the weight of those decisions. And then my son was invited to a birthday party at our local skating rink. I rented skates and before I knew it 2 hours had passed and I realized that this was exactly what was missing. Now, every Tuesday night is blocked for just myself for roller skating. I will discuss the 2 mis-conceptions about prioritizing personal time and why it's important to do so.   I'll walk you through an exercise to kickstart the journey to finding your fun. What brought joy during childhood, teenage or college years? If stuck, I offer ideas like outdoor adventures, creative outlets, or fitness activities. And for those still lost, I advocate for exploration—try something new each week. As busy realtors, it's easy for work to bleed into life. Prioritizing self-care, injecting fun into the calendar, can lead to a more balanced and vibrant life.     In this podcast episode, I talk about my own struggle with work-life balance. Back in 2019, I hit a wall—burnout, overwhelm, the whole nine yards. I was ready to throw in the towel on my business. No time off, no vacations, I was attached to my phone 24/7. But then, I met my coach. It was a financial stretch, living paycheck to paycheck, but I knew I had to make a change. Fast forward a bit, and I started seeing progress. Having more Confidence, seeing options and possibilities and feeling joy and fulfillment. I will dive into five lessons I learned and share some quick tips to help you explore what work-life balance will mean for you. From prioritizing your mental and business health, to finding leverage at home and work to setting boundaries and how to communicate them – all things I have learned the hard way.     5 Step Process to Smash your Goals: Steps 4 and 5

    In today's episode I'm wrapping up the 5-step goal setting framework by walking you through step 4 (L: Logistics) and step 5 (S: Schedule) so you can smash through your goals and break through your ceiling.  In step 4 we'll identify WHO and WHAT you need to achieve your goal, addressing any gaps that might be holding you back from reaching your goal Ready to grow or leverage off tasks? Perhaps you need a WHO and I will dive into identifying who is responsible for each of the activities. Next Identify WHAT might be needed, such as skills, tools, or technology.   In step 5, I emphasized the importance of breaking down the objectives into monthly and weekly actionable tasks, prioritizing the highest-priority objective first. I stress the importance of celebrating wins, evaluating progress, and adjusting strategies if needed.    As you implement these steps, focus on what you can control: your activities, your plan, and your mindset.   Silence external factors – like interest rates, inventory challenges, or high prices.     Super excited to dive into this podcast episode, where I'm building on episodes 13 and 14, discussing my struggles with growth and the game-changing steps that led to my 65% growth in just one year. If you haven't caught those yet, definitely check them out first! In episode 14, I introduced the 5-step goal-setting process, and today we're getting into the nitty-gritty of steps 2 and 3. Quick recap: GOALS stands for Goal, Objectives, Activities, Logistics, and Schedule. Today, we're using a Realtor avatar aiming to serve 120 families in 2024 as an example. First up, we've got three key objectives: closing 60 buyers and 60 sellers, creating an effective client engagement system, and increasing our social media presence. For Objective 1, closing deals, we're prioritizing the highest probability objective — the one that sets us up for major success. The activities? The fundamentals: lead gen(Download my free 59 lead gen strategies below), follow-up, practice, making offers, and going on appointments. These are the tried-and-true actions that, when done consistently, bring results time after time. Moving on to Objective 2, crafting an effective client engagement system. Think quarterly client appreciation events, community outreach, increasing client reviews and referrals, and creating a level 5 experience for the client. We're talking about building relationships that last beyond the transaction, creating a memorable experience from start to finish. Objective 3 is all about increasing our social media presence to reinforce our other objectives. We're defining goals, creating a posting schedule, and boosting engagement. The bottom line? Reflect on what worked for you in 2023, adapt the steps to your unique circumstances, and make 2024 your breakthrough year. Remember, never give up, and let's make those goals a reality together!     Did you know for 15+ years as an entrepreneur I did not have a clearly written out plan to achieve my goals? That is why I am so passionate about this subject and want to share what I have learned. In the next 2 episodes I am laying out 5 steps I have used to grow by 65% in one year.     Asking for the Business without Feeling 'Salesy'

    In episode 10, I'm diving deep into the art of asking for business.   Do not assume just because you tell people you are a realtor this means they automatically know that you can help them I explore WHY we avoid asking for the business & I'll walk you through some practical steps on HOW to ask for the business I find Realtors become reluctant for 3 reasons: ‘ Fear of Rejection: It's a hurdle we all face. The fear of rejection can be crippling, preventing us from seizing opportunities. But imagine for a moment if fear didn't exist in your entrepreneurial journey. What could you achieve? To conquer this fear, reject it instead of letting it consume you. Remember, God provides us with confidence and strength. Rejections are a part of our journey, but they don't define your worth. Instead, focus on the countless 'YES' moments you've had.   Not Wanting to Appear Salesy: As realtors, we often worry about coming across as too 'salesy.' To avoid this, prioritize care, value, and contribution in your interactions. Build trust, listen actively, and address concerns. Always remain client-centered, focusing on their needs and goals.   Lack of Confidence: Confidence is key, and a lack of it can hold us back. Overcoming this roadblock involves embracing affirmations, celebrating your achievements, and practicing visualization. Remember, it's an ongoing journey.   As we venture into the HOW, I must clarify that I'm not offering scripts, but rather suggestions. Your unique personality and personal touch make these approaches relatable. The 'Direct Approach' may work for some, but many find it off-putting. Instead, consider the 'Storytelling Approach,' where you share your journey and make a genuine connection. We are more than just Realtors; we change people's lives   The bottom line is this: Don't be afraid to ask for the business.
