Lastly, Dana also makes clear that she does not fall for the southern charm of Matthew McConaughey.

    In continuation of celebrating AAPI month it's Kip's pick with her favorite horror writer of all time: television writer Rod Serling, the creator of the Twilight Zone, who is from her birthplace of Binghamton, New York. Season 5 features Japanese American actor George Takei in this controversial, banned for TV episode entitled The Encounter. This deals with 2 people from the opposite side who are faced with their individual American guilt. This TV episode stirs deep feelings from Kip & Dana with the sentence that many 3rd generation American children know well: “My parents speak it, but I can't”. Dana recalls racist talk from her white grandpa & Kip recounts remarks from her racist black grandma. Questions raised: What were you rushing home to watch on TGIF: Martin, Family Matters, Full House, Boy Meets World? Why are people constantly sweating on TV back then? Asking those in the Asian community: What is the main reason for the changing of traditional names to Western names?

One lesson learned from this film is that crack is whack. Dana and Kyp give a quick take on the Johnny Depp case. They share their dive bar day's aesthetic, Spanish dad verbal abuse, and compare how the standard for fat for woman has changed over the years.
