C'est la fin d'un été inédit. Entre le désolant vaudeville politique et la ferveur des Jeux Olympiques et Paralympiques, on a failli virer à la schizophrénie. Quel décalage entre des cérémonies œcuméniques et inclusives, une ambiance de fête et de communion comme rarement la capitale et même le pays en avait connues, et un psychodrame politique qui ne fait quasiment que des insatisfaits. La saison qui débute est encore pleine d'inconnues : combien de temps tiendra le gouvernement Barnier, l'audiovisuel public va-t-il fusionner, l'impertinence de Meurice et sa bande sur Radio Nova ne va-t-elle pas leur jouer des tours ? On verra bien… En attendant, il y a du nouveau pour Tsugi Radio. En attendant début novembre et notre retour au Parc des Nations redevenu Parc de la Villette, on a posé nos micros à la Gaîté Lyrique, dans le magnifique studio de la mezzanine de l'établissement parisien. On est fin prêt pour une rentrée musicale qu'on sait déjà chargée, on s'en fera largement l'écho dans cette émission. Pour sa 6ème saison, Place des Fêtes invente la quotidienne pas tous les jours, je vous attends du lundi au mercredi à 18h avec mes invités – demain ce sera Piche – mes chroniqueurs et chroniqueuses – demain ce sera Angèle Chatelier – et le plein de nouveautés comme on va le faire aujourd'hui. Il y avait quelques absents et il y a fort à parier que sans un terrible accident en septembre 2011, DJ Mehdi aurait été de la fête hier soir. Mehdi dont le titre Pocket Piano figure d'ailleurs dans la tracklist du set que Myd a donné le 28 août pour la cérémonie d'ouverture des Jeux Paralympiques. V tomto velmi white boy summer dílu se k nám jako host dostavil náš skalní fanoušek Zdeněk "Metaverzum" Lichnovský z Radia 1 a skupiny Parta vynikajících lidí. Protože se ve studiu sešli dva MUZIKANTI (a Michal), z větší části je epizoda takové hudební okno, kde kromě mužských názorů na tzv. ženskou hudbu Zdeněk mimo jiné vypráví o tom, jak hrál v kapele s českou celebritou Jordanem Hajem. Vysvětlíme si i to, proč Michal nebude basák ve skupině post-hudba.Protože jsme popili nejen před nahráváním, ale taky během něj (a po něm), je část na herohero.co/starnoucimilenialove spíš varováním před následky alkoholismu, ale co se dá dělat - po vystřihnutí olympiády v krkání zbylo krásných 15 bonusových minut. Tentokrát tu máme skutečnou lahůdku pro HUDEBNÍ NERDY, kteří nás doufáme aspoň zčásti poslouchají. Jako host dorazil přímo z české nezávislé hudební scény Tomáš Tkáč, člen kapel něco něco a Pris, producent, generální ředitel (nebo tak něco) labelu Divnosti, který za své aktivity vyhrál cenu Vinyla, a spoluvyznavač Michalova přesvědčení, že většina věcí stojí za hovno. Protože se hudbě aktivně věnuje i Dominik, jak možná někteří z vás ví, a Michal ji aspoň občas poslouchá, mluvíme hlavně o tom, jaké to pohybovat se na výše zmíněné tzv. scéně.Probíráme, co aktuálně posloucháme, Tomášovu producentskou filozofii "párkrát si to poslechnout a pak to nevydat" i jeho sólovou desku, kterou minimálně dva lidé (Michal a Tomáš) považují za fakt skvělou. Tomáš s Dominikem se dohadují, jaké je to být v kapelách, kde by stačilo jen mačkat čudlíky, jestli je k tomu potřeba živý bubeník a jaký se na to nejvíc hodí odposlech. V průběhu debaty zjistíme i to, jaké přesně akordy Tomáš myslel v ikonickém rozhovoru pro Full Moon "Akordů máš sedm - a dva jsou na píču", a jaké dopady má pár let stará tzv. boskovická blamáž, kdy byl Michal Dominikem donucen jít na skupinu Mutanti hledaj východisko. Dostaneme se k internetovému sporu Lid vs. Mat213 a podělíme se i o dobré rady, které nám udělil Jonáš Zbořil (rádio wave). Na herohero.co/starnoucimilenialove se pak Tomáš srovnává s producentem dřív populární skupiny Nirvana Štefanem Albinim a představuje bohatou produkci svého labelu (asi osm desek). Většinu času pak vášnivě debatujeme o tom, co pro nás vlastně znamená dobrá hudba. Zábava i poučení vás nemine, tedy pokud vás zajímají české kapely. Ondřej Pavelka Z gymnázia zběhl k divadlu. Rok dělal kulisáka v karlovarském divadle a připravoval se na studia herectví. Pražskou DAMU absolvoval v roce 1978. Odmítl nabídku Národního divadla („…pracovat tenkrát v oficiálním, státem hýčkaném divadle mi přišlo zhola nemožné…“) a stal se členem Divadla Na okraji, kde si zahrál Mercutia (Romeo a Julie), Hejtmana (Revizor), titulního Fausta, Lopachina (Višňový sad) aj., vedl zde A-studio a začal i režírovat. Na jaře 1989 přijal angažmá v Divadle Na zábradlí, kam šel za Janem Grossmanem. Pamatujeme si jeho Foustku (Pokoušení), Olbrama (Largo desolato) i Sganarela (Don Juan). Do Činohry Národního divadla byl angažován v roce 1993 a od té doby zde ztvárnil řadu nejrůznějších rolí. O seriálu Revír Členové nejstaršího mysliveckého spolku v zemi čelí nejen divoké zvěři a milostným vášním, ale i mnohem horším katastrofám. Jejich revír je totiž ohrožen pytláckými investory. Parta nimrodů se tak musí spolehnout na starou loveckou moudrost, která jediná je může přivést na cestu k záchraně milovaného revíru. Lovu zdar! ZDAR! Od 25. března 2023 na Televizi Seznam. 

Mírové hnutí, mírové úsilí, boj za mír, mírové přátelství, písně míru… Ne, to není aktuální kampaň Andreje Babiše na Hrad, ale pojmy z normalizace, k níž zaklínání se mírem patřilo skoro dennodenně. Už tehdy platilo, že kdo se zaklíná neustále mírem, straší vlastně válkou, a kdo straší, dělá to proto, aby se mu nekladl odpor. Prostě starý dobrý politicky zneužitý mír je tu zase s námi. En 1997, les Daft Punk sortent l'album Homework. Comme beaucoup, DJ Mehdi tombe sous le charme. Qui sont ces deux types qui samplent Barry White, les Bar Kays, Billy Joel et qui dans la chanson ‘Teachers' citent Dr Dre et George Clinton à côté de Paul Johnson ou Lil Louis ? Eux qui produisent sur le même genre de machines n'en arrivent pas du tout au même résultat. Mais alors à quel moment leurs chemins divergent ? Cette question là, Mehdi commence à se la poser à la fin des années 90, et quand il réalise que c'est notamment une question de tempo il propose à Manu Key de produire des instru qui ne vont plus à 96 bpm mais qui montent à 120 battements par minutes. Mais il y a plus de 20 ans, en France, ce n'est pas le genre de truc qui se faisait. Alors Mehdi commence à composer dans son coin des morceaux instrumentaux, ultra filtrés, pour le plaisir de la nouveauté et parce qu'il a envie de les faire écouter aux DJ qu'il fréquente. Zdar, Bangalter, Boombass les trouvent super. Mais ils ne sont pas les seuls : quand Mokobé et Rim'k du 113 les découvrent, ils veulent rapper dessus, parce qu'ils aiment cette manière très digitale de découper les samples. Pour leur premier album, ils veulent sortir un disque de rap qui surprend et ce sera le cas avec Les Princes de La Ville. Quand on disait à DJ Mehdi qu'il avait eu cette idée géniale de mélanger le rap et les sonorités électro, il tenait à préciser que ce n'était pas de son fait, mais de celui du 113. C'est comme ça qu'est né l'album des Princes de la Ville, qu'on peut écouter comme une sorte de testament laissé par DJ Mehdi au rap français. Quand le disque du 113 sort, et que le groupe déboule aux victoires de la musique en peugeot 504 break chargé, DJ Mehdi est évidemment heureux de partager ce succès avec ses amis d'enfance. Mais il a déjà un pied ailleurs, il aime traîner aux soirées Respect au Queen, il rêve sincèrement de jouer à Ibiza et devant un public de fêtards. C'est ce chemin qu'il a parcouru qui va causer la fin d'Ideal J ; il n'y a pas eu de fâcherie, il y a simplement eu un fossé qui n'a cessé de se creuser avec le temps. Au bout d'un moment, quand des rappeurs lui demandaient des instrus, il leur présentait des morceaux rapides, syncopés, filtrés. Le genre de trucs qu'il avait envie de produire à l'aube de l'an 2000, mais qu'aucun rappeur français de l'époque n'avait vraiment envie d'assumer. C'est comme ça que les choses arrivent et que les pages se tournent. Après ça, la seconde vie de DJ Mehdi a commencé, et on en parlera dans la suite de cette nova story. Aujourd'hui : « Le bien, le mal » de Guru et Mc Solaar.Une rencontre transatlantique que l'on retrouve sur le premier album solo de feu Guru, qui s'est fait connaître au sein du légendaire duo qu'il forme en 1989 avec Dj Premier : Gang Starr. En 1993, Guru lance sa série Jazzmatazz, un disque qui, au-delà de mettre en avant l'apport du jazz dans le rap, fusionne les deux genres.Ce n'est pas totalement nouveau : Miles Davis, dans son dernier album Doo Bop, s'intéresse au genre – le rap – tout comme Quincy Jones. Guru innove en proposant un casting de haut vol. Sur ce premier volet, Donald Byrd, Roy Ayers, Lonnie Listen Smith côtoient Carleen Anderson, N'Dea Davenport, chanteuse des Brand New Heavies, ou encore ce jeune rappeur français, Mc Solaar. C'est que Claude Mc a frappé un grand coup avec son premier album et les échos de Qui sème le vent récolte le tempo sont arrivés jusqu'aux États-Unis.« Le bien, le mal » n'est pas la première collaboration entre Solaar et Guru, puisque certains doivent connaître ce maxi de remix de « Qui sème le vent… » sur lequel on retrouve bien sûr la Funk Mob (aka Zdar et Boom Bass qui ont travaillé sur l'album) mais aussi le Kwanzaa Possee et… un remix de Gang Starr !C'est donc un retour d'invitation de la part de Guru qui convoque cette fois le rappeur de Maison Alfort à inscrire son nom au côtés des plus grandes pointures du jazz. « Le bien, le mal », est produit par l'acolyte de Solaar, Jimmy Jay, et le clip sera tourné entre New York et Paris par Fab Five Freddy, habitué des échanges franco-américains.
