    Ivy Insights

The KungFu Podcasts is an exceptional podcast that delves into the history and culture of martial arts. Hosted by TW Smith, this podcast delivers in-depth discussions on a wide variety of topics related to martial arts on a weekly basis. What sets this podcast apart is the level of research and attention to detail that Smith puts into each episode. He goes above and beyond to provide accurate information and presents it in an engaging and entertaining manner.

One of the best aspects of The KungFu Podcasts is the breadth of topics that Smith covers. While the podcast may have "KungFu" in its name, he does not limit himself to just Chinese martial arts. Smith explores various styles and disciplines from around the world, offering insights and perspectives for serious martial artists of any style. The historical accuracy and research put into each episode are commendable, making this podcast a valuable resource for anyone interested in martial arts.

However, one possible downside to this podcast is that it may require a quieter environment to fully appreciate it. While it can be enjoyed purely for entertainment purposes, listeners might benefit more from taking notes or listening in a focused setting where they can absorb all the information being presented. Additionally, there may be occasional mispronunciations or small errors, but these do not detract significantly from the overall quality of the content.

In conclusion, The KungFu Podcasts is a highly recommended listen for anyone interested in the history and culture of martial arts. TW Smith's dedication to delivering accurate information combined with his engaging delivery makes each episode informative and entertaining. Whether you are a serious martial artist or simply enjoy learning about different cultures, this podcast offers a wealth of knowledge that will enrich your understanding of martial arts.

Getting through the Fog of Chaos in 4 steps is a Podcast that resonated with me as a Maritime Meditation long ago. It is the narrative story of facts how SeaMen navigated the sea's before 1100 AD. The magnet compass was created in 206 BC, but not implemented into sea navigation until 1107 AD. KungFu was practiced upon ship decks, particularly in Southern China. With visibility less than 100 yards, knowing how to survive when you were lost at sea wasn't just theory. I will share the stories and point out questions to ask and to avoid asking until later. Also I will share with you what real illusions that you must be aware of when you get lost in a fog at sea.
