Perky Hagadone-Smith, Principal at Northside Elementary and Marcea Marine, retired teacher from Sandpoint Middle school bring nine students in to talk about their recent trip to Costa Rico.

Today students from Southside school came to join us to talk about their Technology projects. They discussed STEAM, Fab Slab and the Mars Rover projects they have been working on.

It was a winter season sports wrap up with SHS A.D. Kris Knowles, accompanied by his two delightful daughters Ali and Avery, and SHS basketball coached Will Love and Wade Engelson. Avery and Ali helped pick up the slack for their Dad!

SHS Business Technology teacher Melinda Neiman brings some of her Business Professionals of America contestants into the studio to talk about the regional, state and national competition. K.J. Johansen, Luke Uzabel, Ilijah Karasek and Jack Clark share their experiences from the competition.

Jeanne Warwick from Washington Elementary brought in her 6th grade class to talk about Future Cities. They were broken up into 2 cities, Ecotopia and Granite City, and they just got back from their Boise competition.

Mrs. Sherri Hatley, Principal at Hope Elementary brings participants in the studio to talk about their traditional Missoula Children’s Theatre. This year’s production was Snow White. Students from Hope Elementary, Clark Fork Junior/Senior High School and some home school students were in the production.

Steve does his first remote show at the Sandpoint Airport to see the Aerospace program in action. Students from Clark Fork, Sandpoint High and Middle schools and home schooled students were working on a total rebuild of a 1942 Taylorcraft plane.

Colleen Watson and Kari Granier from Sandpoint Middle School talk about the exciting offerings at SMS. The ladies talked about how the number of electives has increased, the new Homeroom class, class team building and Activities & athletics.

Andra Murray and Betsy Dalessio join Steve in the studio to talk about the 21st Century Community Learning Center program at Farmin-Stidwell and Kootenai Elementary Schools.

Shawn Woodward, Superintendent of Lake Pend Oreille School District joins Steve Youngdahl in the studio to discuss the upcoming Supplemental Levy. The proposed levy amount is $25 Million and the election is March 12, 2019

Geraldine Lewis, Vice Chair of the LPOSD board and President of the Panhandle Alliance for Education joins Steve to discuss her time on both boards.

Ann Dickinson of Washington Elementary School brings in her Design for Change students to talk about this year’s project.

Mike Nash of the Injectors Car Club and Alex Gray Career & Technical Education Coordinator for SHS join us in studio to talk about Education Alley.

LPOSD Superintendent Shawn Woodward is in the studio talking to us about the 5 year Strategic Plan, as well as the 21st Century Community Learning Center Grant which is a very exciting after school program coming up.

This episode of Coaches Corner has SHS Track coach Matt Brass in the studio with athlete Dutt Rogers. Dutt was accepted to the U.S. Naval Academy and will be leaving this summer. Volunteer SHS Softball coach Jeff Free is also in the studio with his daughter to talk about the program.
