This episode is about balance, quick changes, and not letting anyone put you in a tidy little box. Meet Micah Kickett, a proud Koori and Noongar man who spends his days in a suit and tie as a lawyer… then swaps the briefcase for a microphone to become a stand-up comedian by night. Micah takes us on the fastest commute ever, racing from the courtroom to the comedy stage, still in the same suit, finding laughs in the kind of situations only he could tell you about. Along the way, he shares how humour became his secret weapon, helping him navigate two completely different worlds and reminding us that you can be more than one thing at a time. From legal briefs to punchlines, this is a story about finding your voice, owning your space, and making people laugh while you do it. Micah proves that sometimes the best way to speak your truth is to tell a really good joke.NRMA Insurance, proud supporters of First Nations’ storytelling. The wait is over. Season 2 of Find and Tell kicks off with a story that will have you turning the volume up and your head nodding along. Proud Murrawarri and Filipino artist Dobby takes centre stage with Mic Check, a deep dive into the heart of hip hop and why it is one of the most powerful cultural connectors in the world. From the Bronx to Redfern, Dobby shows how a beat can carry a message, how a rhyme can tell a truth, and how music can keep culture alive. This is not just about making tracks, it is about making space for community, reclaiming language, and raising voices that need to be heard. He brings the fire with help from voices like Fred Leone and rising star KAYPS, proving that hip hop is more than just a soundtrack. It is a movement, a way to heal, a way to fight, and a way to bring people together. NRMA Insurance, proud supporters of First Nations’ storytelling. Because that’s what a Help Company would do. Buckle up, ladies, today we have Patrice Poltzer, a former TODAY Show producer, powerhouse storyteller and online business owner, who's going to whip us into shape and tell us how we can be more successful in business and life using storytelling as a tool! Storytelling allows you to cut through the online marketing noise and attract the right audience to your business. Patrice is so inspiring and shares all her tips and tools on how to tell a great story. She also shares with us how she took her business completely online which allowed her to leave the country with her family of five. She figured out the secret sauce to online sales and she's pouring that into us today!Patrice Poltzer is an Emmy-nominated and award-winning former TODAY Show producer and the head of Patrice Poltzer Creative. She helps people and brands tell their unique stories so they connect with their audiences. She's also a badass mom of three and just relocated her family from NYC to Lisbon, Portugal. She runs her successful business completely online!Patrice and I discuss:The power of storytelling: It's a critical marketing tool that can emotionally connect with strangers.Focusing on a small, loyal audience: It's better to have a small group of highly engaged followers than a large audience with little engagement. Provide value to your audience and they will become your promoters. Not outsourcing your authenticity: You can outsource some tasks like video editing, but it's important to maintain a personal connection with your audience. Your story and voice are a big part of your brand.Investing in yourself: Taking courses or hiring coaches can help you avoid mistakes and reach your goals faster.Starting small and iterating: Don't be afraid to experiment and make changes as you learn more about your audience and business.Getting clear on your ideal customer: The more you understand your target audience, the better you can tailor your message to resonate with them.Being patient: Building a successful business takes time and effort. Don't get discouraged if you don't see results overnight.Overcoming fear: Don't let the mess in your head mess with your message. In a world full of bland AI content, faceless accounts, and an abundance of content, it's critical to use storytelling to Step Into the Spotlight to get seen, heard, paid, and make an impact!Did you take the first step to share an authentic story on social media?
