This week I'm joined by the Broadway Husbands, Stephen Hanna and Bret Shuford. In addition to a slew of incredible Broadway shows and Ballet between them, they also host their own podcast, have a Broadway clothing line, and are avid Disney lovers too! This week, we discuss the burnout factor in both the arts and mediumship, and explore ways to acknowledge it while still loving what we do. We'll also discuss ways of tapping into our full potential, trusting the multiple pathways the Universe presents to us, in addition to sharing tips for maximizing our full potential creatively. As usual, we'll discuss Stephen and Bret's reading (I read them as a couple), the Soul who made total sense AFTER the reading, and I'll also answer what happens during a reading when the person you were expecting to come through doesn't. I also debunk the rumor on if some of us are just “unreadable” as well as share the story about the time I went to read someone and got NOTHING. On this episode, Danny and I talk about the pathways into our careers we wish we'd known about and discuss practical tips to get started in either. We're back tonight with a new episode as Bonnie Milligan stops by the stage door! Bonnie made her Broadway debut in Head Over Heels, and was also seen in the off-Broadway productions of Promenade, Joseph, and Gigantic, in addition to the national tour of Kinky Boots. This week, I explain whether or not Mediums are able to read family or close friends, and if so, when it's allowed/possible. Bonnie and I also have a great discussion on finding our own authenticity: in the audition room, on stage, and in the real world, and what authenticity looks like in terms of being a Medium. We also chat about growing your ability, steering clear of embellishments during a show or a reading to impress the crowd/client, and well as our post show or reading routines. As usual, Bonnie shares some beautiful details about our reading together, as well as some incredible messages from both her father and grandmother who came through. This week we leave the Stage Door and head over to Doylestown, PA! On this special episode of Stage Door Medium, I'll share my experience of what it was like staying in the home of one of musical theatre's founding fathers, Oscar Hammerstein II. Tune in this week to learn all about Oscar, whether or not it's possible to channel celebrities, and all the creative ways Oscar validated his presence and opinions on things when I arrived at his home, Highland Farm. I'll also be sharing some fun stories about the rainbow that supposedly led them to their home, the natural landscape that inspired Oscar's Oklahoma lyrics, as well as which other friends or relatives of Oscar's came through that day to visit. Also, come learn about the exciting current plans and to turn Oscar's home into an immersive museum as well as how YOU can help! I'll also discuss what is considered evidential information during a reading, what isn't, and why it's crucial that evidential information be provided when you sit with a Medium.Learn more about Oscar's home and how you can help:www.hammersteinmuseum.org/Book a stay for yourself at Oscar's home:www.highlandfarmbb.comLearn more about mediumship or book a reading for yourself!stagedoormedium.comEditing, graphics, and video footage of Highland Farm:davidraydesign.comWatch on Instagram & YouTube

This week, Broadway's Talia Suskauer stops by the Stage Door! Talia made her Broadway debut in Be More Chill and will soon be flying high again as Elphaba on the national tour of Wicked when performances resume on August 3rd in Dallas, TX. This week, I answer a popular question, “Do people who were grumpy or mean here in the physical world stay that way in Spirit?” From there, Talia and I discuss the importance of raw talent versus trainability and if one is more crucial than the other, both as performers and lightworkers. We also talk about the concept of loss, understanding it at any age, and why we shouldn't count younger actors out of the running to tackle heavier material. I'll also piggyback and share why for most mediums, it's usually a graduated approach before we can start channeling the heavier content in readings. As usual, we'll discuss Talia's reading, as she graciously goes into detail about our time together! Finally, we'll chat about our relationships and how they're impacted by our jobs, and how to deal with those “friends” who may try to take advantage of us or expect things for free. P.S. join us next week for an extra special episode from Oscar Hammerstein's home as I recently visited there and it was incredible. And yes… Oscar came through loud and clear. Alicia Albright stops by the stage door tonight! Broadway credits include Wicked ,where she served as Dance captain, as well as performing in the national tours as well. Most recently, Alicia was seen in Frozen on Broadway! Alicia is also the founder of the Feed Your Soul Project, where her mission is to help others speak their heart, discover the light within each of us, and then learn how to share it with the world. This week, I'll explain my process in detail in terms of what I do before I channel (Ground, Protect, Connect). From there, we dive right in and talk about the concepts of breathwork and mindfulness and why it sadly doesn't have a place (yet) in the Broadway rehearsal room, but it doesn't mean we can't make it happen for ourselves before the rehearsal starts. We also talk about the importance of just showing up, and how so often, we can share our light with others simply by being in the same room. Alicia talks about what it looks like creating a show from scratch, as was the case with her being an OBC member of Frozen and touches on acknowledging the sensitivities of not only castmates, but crew, creatives, and assistants. In addition, we'll talk about Alicia's reading, the importance of vacation time and rest, and Nessa's wheelchair soap-opera moment from Wicked that I'm determined to turn into a viral challenge.Audio versions now streaming on Apple Podcasts and Spotify Podcasts Learn more about Alicia:Instagram: @aliciaalbrightfeedyoursoulproject.comLearn more about Mediumship, Jimmy, or book a reading for yourself:Instagram: @stagedoormedium stagedoormedium.comEditing and GraphicsInstagram: @davidraydesign davidraydesign.comWatch on Instagram & YouTube

Broadway credits include originating the role of Mrs. Wormwood in Matilda the Musical and Mona Kent in Dames at Sea, in addition to Off B'way in Emojiland and The Who's Holiday. This week, I'll answer one of the most commonly asked questions, “Will the person I expect most to come through absolutely be there in the reading? If not, why is that?” From there, Lesli and I talk about how we deal with uncomfortable information, whether that be at the stage door or given to me from Spirit during a reading. In addition, we'll talk about bootlegs: pitting actors against one another in comparison videos and how they rob aspiring artists from their own creative process. In addition, I'll share which Matilda song is almost identical to what it feels like inside a medium's brain (or at least mine!). Lesli chats about manifestation and intention plus how landing the role of Mrs. Wormwood was a direct result of it. As always, we'll chat about Lesli's reading with me and how her incredible father, Bob, was quick to come through in addition to sharing some crazy specific details through Matilda lyrics as well as those ugg slippers… Finally, we'll share stories about not being physically present for an important loved one's passing and how we're not meant to guilt ourselves should this happen. Tour: Wicked (Elphaba), Next to Normal (Natalie), and Les Miserables (Young Cosette), Freaky Friday (Ellie). Emma can currently be seen on tv in Freeform's Good Trouble as Davia. This week is probably one of my favorite episodes, as we spend such a good amount of time talking about Emma's reading, and her incredible Mom, Erica, who passed away a few years ago. Emma shares some really beautiful stories of her mom, in addition to many details from our reading together including a special party where no Costco sandwiches were allowed! Wait until she shares the autocorrect moment that validated her choosing me as the medium, it's nuts! In addition, we'll talk about the power of manifesting, but still working our ass off to get there. Don't forget, manifestation merely provides the opportunity coming our way. From there, it's all hard work, networking, and skill. Or another explanation: Manifestation provides the job interview. From there, we have to sell it and EARN that job. We also chat about reincarnation, coming back within the same family unit, and the big questions to ask before booking a reading. S1E13: The Whole “Being Dead” ThingHi everyone!Welcome back to another week here at Stage Door Medium! This week, I’m joined by the incredible Dana Steingold who made her Broadway debut in Beetlejuice the Musical. Previous credits include the national tour of the 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, as well as the off-Broadway production of Avenue Q, City Center Encore’s Production of Anyone Can Whistle, and my favorite where I was able to see Dana perform, Into the Woods at KCR.Dana is a fitting guest today as we’re discussing haunted houses and energetic imprinting. It’s a tricky topic to cover, as for the most part, I don’t really believe in the concept of haunted houses or locations. For me, it’s hard to digest the fact that after we pass, we want to hang out in an old creaky home, or an old battlefield where we died to just scare people. Rather, I DO believe that our personality and sense of humor does translate to the other side. For example, if someone was a loud, boisterous person while they were here and they enjoyed jumping out and scaring people for laughs, their “signs” they leave their loved ones may not be as gentle as a penny or a perfume scent. Rather, it may be having an object move, it may be a loud noise. While this isn’t the case for all folks on the other side, it is very common. In terms of why certain spaces are deemed as “haunted” then, my answer would be the fact that some lower vibrational Spirits want the attention because they miss the physical (In a way, they’re stuck in the past by their choosing) This is a condensed version of a blog post that’s coming out soon on my site, but it’ll do for now! Dana and I discuss the topic of energetic imprinting and why theatres are one of the best places to experience what an imprint feels like, whether that be from the perspective of an audience member, or especially a castmate backstage where they’re obviously in the theatre more regularly than an audience member. In addition, Dana and I discuss distracting habits during a performance and a reading (Hint: Please don’t text during a reading OR at the theatre), and how to deal with folks who may bring a very strange, “caution tape” energy into a rehearsal room or reading. If you’re looking for ways to clear out that wonky energy after a person leaves, Jimmy shares tips for how to properly sage after they’re gone. Finally, Dana and I spend a good amount of time talking about her reading and the visit from a very special teacher of hers from Stage Door Manor, Michael Larsen. As a medium perceiving Michael’s energy, it’s a real joy to soak up, and fun fact: Michael has actually come through now four more times for other Broadway actors who knew and worked with him! One was previous guest, Julia Murney! Finally, we talk about the supportive fan base of Beetlejuice, why shows about grief are ultimately fan favorites, and why little red riding hood from Into the Woods may need a medium the most…Dana’s Instagram: @dsteinfaceBook a reading with Jimmy here: Stage Door MediumEditing: David Ray DesignWatch on Instagram & YouTube

S1E12: The Road to Hell Featuring Timothy HughesWelcome back to another week of Stage Door Medium! This week we’re going way down under the ground as we welcome Broadway actor Tim Hughes onto the show. Tim’s Broadway credits include Chaplin, Frozen, and the smash hit, Hadestown. In addition, Tim made his film debut in The Greatest Showman alongside Hugh Jackman. This week, Jimmy and Tim discuss their childhood notions of hell, having both grown up as Catholic, versus now, with what Jimmy sees about the other side. Jimmy explains what happens to the not-so-nice folks when we cross, and why it’s more about growth and rehabilitation versus flames and pitchforks. If the topic of what happens once we pass interests you, we have another episode coming up where we talk about this topic and what exactly “life review” is! In addition, Tim discusses his reading in-depth with Jimmy, including why a reading feels like a big safe bubble, the “Oh my God” moments that made sense a week after his reading, as well as sharing some special moments about his father and grandmother who are in Spirit. In addition, Tim talks about when Jimmy started reading on a high-profile unsolved murder case without realizing it. Fun fact: Mediums are frequently utilized by the police, FBI etc to help solve cold cases. Finally, we discuss that flag incident at Frozen and why hate has no home in Arendelle, a Broadway theatre or anywhere.P.S. S1E11: The Girl From Oz Featuring Carmel DeanThis week, composer, musical director, and arranger Carmel Dean stops by the stage door! Carmel’s credits include music direction of Broadway’s If/Then starring Idina Menzel, as well as the national tour. Other Broadway credits include Hands on a Hardbody, American Idiot, and The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee. Carmel’s first musical, Renascence made its debut in 2018 by the Transport Group and was awarded Best New Musical at the 2018 Off-Broadway Alliance Awards. Carmel also talks about her experience writing her debut musical, Renascence, and what it’s like working with a lyricist who’s been deceased for nearly 75 years (The lyrics were all poems by Edna St. Vincent Millay). In addition, we chat about the role of a critic in the arts and mediumship, why they’re not needed, and how the real beauty comes when we let go of expectation and live in the now of what we create. Jimmy chats about what it’s like to give uncomfortable (just awkward, not scary) messages to a client when Spirit is insistent they be relayed, and Carmel parallels that with what it was like giving corrections and notes to the incredible Betty Buckley during Elegies, and how to overcome the nerves of working with big names by remembering what the vision of the work is. As usual, we’ll discuss Jimmy’s reading with Carmel as well what it was like conducting Idina Menzel’s Tony Award performance from a toilet stall on the fourth floor of Radio City Music Hall. In addition, Gerald is set to make his big screen debut in the film adaptation of Dear Evan Hansen. This week, Gerald and Jimmy sit down to discuss what it’s like when you disagree with cast mates, or in Jimmy’s case, clients, and how to continue to do the work despite not seeing eye to eye in terms of personality or ethics. In addition, we talk about Gerald’s time in The Lion King, and how Gerald’s departed father gave specific notes on his favorite parts of the show, in addition to the parts that make him nervous. Also, Jimmy makes a case for the fact that you can’t hate on Mediums, but also love when Rafiki channels Mufasa’s Spirit (“He Lives in You”) because they’re pretty much doing the same thing. Gerald also shares what his Dear Evan Hansen Zoom audition was like, as well as Jimmy sharing why staring into the ring light (Don’t worry, not for too long) during a Zoom reading actually helps him focus. Finally, Gerald and Jimmy talk about diversity on Broadway and why theatre producers need to start honoring performers, stories, and audiences of all races more than ever when Broadway returns. S1E9: I Put My (Hot) Hand In There Featuring Sarah MeahlWelcome to week 9 of Stage Door Medium! This week, I’m joined by incredible human and Broadway performer, Sarah Meahl. I won’t lie, I’ve been saving this episode because Sarah is just so special to me and I just love our conversation this week! We clicked instantly during our reading, and I’m so grateful to now call her a friend. Sarah’s Broadway credits include Cirque du Soleil’s Paramour, Hello Dolly! and Kiss me, Kate in addition to being a featured dancer in the Rebel Wilson film, “Isn’t It Romantic?”This week, Sarah and I sit down to discuss her being a Reiki healer, Chakra work, and how being a swing on Broadway who is also so finely attuned to energy can be tricky, as she can sense all the energy (good and nervous) off every cast mate she touches and will get “hot hands” when their Chakras need healing. As usual, we talk about Sarah’s reading (We get really in-depth!) and the visit from the sibling she never had but always sensed. In addition, we discuss the idea of reincarnation and how sometimes, our sole (or Soul) purpose of a particular life may be to serve a catalyst of growth for someone else. Sarah is just so incredibly spoken that many times I caught my face looking so serious in the interview as I was trying to soak up the depth and beauty of her insight. Finally, we talk about her experience in Hello Dolly! and what it was like working with each of the three incredible Dollys (Bette, Bernadette, and Donna) Enjoy this week’s episode and be sure to check out Sarah’s social media and give her website a visit!sarahmeahl.comInstagram: @happymeahl Book a reading with Jimmy: stagedoormedium.comInstagram: @stagedoormedium Editing: davidraydesign.comWatch on Instagram & YouTube

This week,I sit down with the incomparable, ethereal being that is Hannah Corneau. Hannah made her Broadway debut as Elphaba in Wicked and was also seen across the country as Yitzhak in the national tour of Hedwig and the Angry Inch. This week, Hannah and I discuss her theatrical career and how there are equally beautiful and gratifying paths that don’t involve Broadway in order to feel just as fulfilled artistically. We cover a LOT of ground this week. Some other topics include the importance of a mentor, asking for help, egos blocking us from doing our best work, in addition to separating our identity from our work even though they seem inextricably tied.As usual, we discuss the reading I gave Hannah (If you’re more into Mediumship, we really get into it this week) as well as what “leveling up” is and what it looks like for a Medium. Finally, Hannah talks about her fashion business endeavor, The Rose House, and that one special apron (It came up in the reading!) as an homage to her grandmother. Welcome to another week of Stage Door Medium. This week, Broadway talent and playwright Jason Forbach stops by the Stage Door to chat with Jimmy. Jason’s Broadway credits include the 2014 revival of Les Miserables and The Phantom of the Opera. In addition, Jason toured the country as Enjorlas in Les Miserables before the Broadway production opened, and was a part of the Las Vegas Spectacular Phantom (Google some of the crazy special effects) for three years. This week, Jimmy and Jason discuss all things Phantom, including the differences in audience energy from Vegas to Broadway, why the show may be less about love and more about the grief cycle, and how audience members are more visible than they think they are at the Majestic theatre. In addition, Jason talks about his award winning play, Heathen Hill, and how our creative higher-self voice (it sounds just like your own) helps us navigate the artistic process. While we don’t talk about Jason’s reading too much this week, as Jimmy read him a few years back, we do talk about the one Spirit (they were a BIG Phan) who is at the Majestic every time Jimmy visits the show. Jason also shares his thoughts on the most important question of all: “Should we actually like Raoul?” as well as a fun Les Mis wig mishap as well. In addition, Michele and Jimmy both grew up in Western New York and attended the same University (Go Purple Eagles!) This week, Jimmy and Michele talk about the delicate balance of how much of our personal lives we can put into our work safely, as well as why Carousel just might be the earliest (and most accurate) exploration of the afterlife in musical theatre. In addition, we’ll discuss Michele’s upcoming performance in Lincoln Center’s Flying Over Sunset, and why a musical about an LSD trip might just be what we all need right now. As usual, we’ll discuss Michele’s reading, as well as the reason why Jimmy won’t pick up on certain people or messages sometimes while communicating with Spirit.Check out a number from the upcoming Flying Over SunsetMichele’s delicious take on the Witch from Into the Woods (I was SO fortunate to have seen her in it!).Book a reading with Jimmy at Stage Door MediumEditing: David Ray DesignWatch on Instagram & YouTube

You may know Jenn best for her performances as Captain Beverley Bass in Come From Away, Anne in If/Then, and Hedda Hopper in Chaplin (She sings one of my favorite belt songs in that show!). She also can be seen leaving the Stage Door via scooter, so there’s another reason to love this magical human. We’ll also sit down to discuss the plot of If/Then and Jimmy breaks down the free-will factor in our personal life versus what we map out for ourselves before we get here. Julia made her Broadway debut in Lennon, however, you may also know her from The Wild Party where she originated the role of Queenie (To PERFECTION). You may also know her from that little show called Wicked where she played Elphaba on the tour and Broadway. If you’re like me, you might also just lip sync every bit of song and dialogue from her Actors’ Fund performance of “People” from Funny Girl. No matter, she’s Broadway royalty, and I couldn’t be more grateful to have her. This week, we talk all about Lilydale (Spiritual community that’s a Disneyland of sorts for those in need of a reading), Julia’s magical vibrato, and her teenage summers at Stage Door Manor. We’ll also talk about the parallels between artists and mediums in terms of taking natural gifts or ability and honing it through training. We also discuss why some readings are better than others based on the person’s need for a reading (“The greater the need, the greater the read.”) As usual, we’ll discuss Julia’s reading, plus a “Mommie Dearest” line that came through as a symbol, and a particularly insistent Spirit who visited Jimmy for a week straight until he relayed messages to Julia.
