Whether we want to admit it or not, kids are dating a lot earlier now than when we were kids. We're discussing a pretty heavy topic that honestly, should be talked about more...Teen Dating Violence. Even if your children are still young, and nowhere near dating age, it's important to know how to talk to your kids about teen domestic violence and for you to know how to recognize the signs.According to the Teen Dating Violence website, "Healthy relationships require hard work, communication, and a level of maturity that may not be present in teens. As a result, many teen relationships – nearly one-third – are characterized as either unhealthy or violent." www.teendvmonth.orgTeen dating violence is not just physical, but can also include emotional abuse, sexual abuse, and stalking. It can take place in person, or more commonly on social media. Nearly 1.5 million girls and boys have admitted to being in an unhealthy relationship. Finding Your Circle

Have you ever wondered why friendships as women are so hard to establish and maintain? Think about this, research shows that in our mid-twenties, friendship circles shrink significantly because our priorities shift. Some women are getting married and starting their family, while others are enjoying the single life or focused on their career. Additionally, women put a lot of weight on their friendships with other women. A friends circle is supposed to be a safe and sacred space for women to come together, use their voices, be heard, and be seen. To share experiences with others who have gone through them. For many decades, women have gathered in circles to empower each other and share wisdom. So why is that so hard to do now? Why does it seem so difficult for women to support other women? Today, we are discussing all of this with Kiamiccia Boone-Neal of Mommy Chronicles LLC and chatting about how we as women can better support one another. Kiamiccia (Mece) is a 28-year-old wife, mother of two, and entrepreneur. She lives in California and loves it! In 2020 she started a mom blog which turned into creating and selling mom apparel from her business, Mommy Chronicles LLC, interviewing other moms on IGTV live about important mom-related topics, to now having a podcast called "The Mom Circle." Her overall goal is to connect, support, and uplift other moms, moms-to-be, and future moms. _________________________________Like what you heard? Follow to get notified of the newest episodes! Embracing Ambition

Question: What does ambition look like to you? There used to come a time that if you had children, you had to give up your career and stay at home and raise your family.  But today, we think that ambition and motherhood go hand in hand. We are driven to provide amazing futures for our children. Some may have great respect for a woman who knows what she wants and goes after it, while it may be perceived negatively by others...especially men.  Today, we're joined by Jon'll Boyd of The Eventful Life and discussing how ambitious and assertive women are perceived in society. We take a deep dive into these thoughts and discuss how we as women, can redefine how we are seen by others.Jon'll Boyd is a mom and an entrepreneur; but has been most affectionately coined "The Mompreneur" because she started and has owned a business for almost as long as her two boys, Alexander and Jackson, have been on this earth. Her greatest triumphs and trials have come from both. She is a builder at heart which is why she started building her first business Completely Yours Events & Design almost 10 years ago after being downsized from corporate America from a career in Sales and Marketing. She has always been a fierce advocate for helping women build their business and build a community which she originally started with The Planners Suite where she assisted event planners with building their business. She saw the need was much greater and wanted to reach more women who may be struggling with business, mommyhood, or just themselves and that is where The Eventful Life Enterprises was born.Episode Resources:The Eventful LifeEpisode Sponsor: Revolution Beauty Get 20% off your next purchase by using the code PODGO20 __________________________________Like what you heard? Does your birth order say anything about who you are as a person? Most of us have heard the theory that the order in which you are born, impacts your personality as a child and well into adulthood. While this may not hold true for everyone, studies have shown that it's true in most cases.  So of course, today, we are talking all about birth order traits! We are diving into how being the first, middle, youngest, or only child influences your behavior and how parents treat each child differently. And if you want some bragging rights - Oprah Winfrey is a famous first-born; Martin Luther King, Jr. and Barbara Walters are famous middle children; Prince Harry is a famous youngest child; and our very own Sasha (as well as Al Pacino, Alicia Keys, and Chelsea Clinton) are famous only children.Episode Resources:Birth Order & Personality - Parents.com  Episode Sponsor: Revolution Beauty Get 20% off your next purchase by using the code PODGO20 __________________________________Like what you heard?
